Unexpected Assault Discipline

This discipline may only be known by giving up one other discipline if you are a Warblade or Swordsage. (You may only do this at first level).

The associated weapons for the Unexpected Assault discipline are the Quarterstaff, War Broom, Unarmed Strike, and any Improvised Weapons. The associated skills are Bluff and Sleight of Hand.

You can post now, though it's obviously very incomplete.

Knowing that crusaders only have 3 disciplines, giving up 2 of them seems unfair, they end up with 2 disciplines, but well, I suppose that the new discipline should give something in change of what was taken...

It's supposed to be an unfair trade for a crusader: the flavor fits the other 2 classes well, but not the crusaders. Therefore... Well, maybe I'll say crusaders can't take it at all. That work?

No-one has to learn this discipline. It- wait... did I phrase the parenthetical such that they do? Rephrasing...

The usual format for posting a discipline is taking three or four posts, with the first handling the fluff/who can take it of the discipline, the second the one line list of maneuvers, and the third the actual maneuvers. The 4th can be used for any extra stuff. An example of that formating in action can be found here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169940).

Just a bit of advice.

anyone know how much a war-broom should cost?

By convention, a mundane item is always vastly cheaper than a magic item with a comparable effect. Had it been magic, I'd have guessed around 15,300.

Since it isn't magic, how does 3,300 gp sound?

I'm not going to go into the questions of whether or not it's really balanced for mundane items to be vastly cheaper than comparable magical ones.

You should, however, make it an Exotic weapon and require the wielder to be proficient in order to use the gust of wind option.

Yeah, I thought I already made it exotic. Changing now. Thanks.
