Toad Lore
Toads are divided into three castes; nobles, warriors and slaves
The following information about toads can be obtained with a successful Knowledge (Nature) check.
DC 15: Toads live to make war. A typical tribe includes a mixture of sizes, with the mightiest holding the title of warchief. Larger toads serve as elite warriors and smaller ones work as scouts, infiltrators and slaves.
DC 20: A toad has little tolerance for talk and resorts to conversation only if the advantage of doing so is apparent. Toads once had an empire which fell to internal strife and interference from slaadi.
DC 25: Toads developed mundane and magical methods for taming and breeding dire toads as guards, mounts and beasts of war.
DC 25: Some slave caste toads are born bow-legged with blue colored skin and psionic powers.
DC 30: Slave caste toads that reach the age of 25 acquire a voracious appetite and if able to sate this hunger they go into a regenerative state and begin to grow in size. But they also become violent dumb asses and will eat just about anything, including other toads. These Elder Toads that live long enough go through the regenerative phase again when they reach 100, if allowed to gorge themselves for a month they grow even larger.

Interesting, but Half-Toads should have a -2 to Charisma, and I also don't see any LA anywhere, which would be nice to know when applying these. Interesting idea, but really, toads? :smallwink:
Anyway, looks alright, but everyone has bonuses and not many penalties, therefore not making a terribly balanced/playable race. Let's try to fix that.
Keep it up!

No RHD/LA for the bugbear warrior caste? Also, the hobgoblins noble toads are a bit bland compared to the rest.

[Edit]: "Weapon Familiarity" and "Weapon Proficiency" usually mean different things.

Ha! Yep, just good old goblins, hobgoblins, bugbears with a different skin for a campaign I ran earlier this year. Melniboneans, humans, tengus and toads were the only PC races at different points in the campaign.

The Weapon Familiarity is just what is listed for Half-orcs (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/core-races/half-orc).

With the grippli, boggards, bullywugs and froglin (Dave Arneson's Blackmoor) all thrown into the mix, the players had a good time.

Also had one other that was a normal toad with the manimal template

Treasure Gear (chain shirt, rapier, wide brimmed hat, 1d6 coins)

Horkist are tough-skinned amphibian rakes who favor wide brimmed hats. They hire themselves out as soldiers, and between jobs they dwell in red light districts, drinking, gambling and dueling. Less known is that they also have hidden meeting spots in the sewers and work as burglars when they run out of money. Just as likely to work for the city-watch or the thieves guild, many work for both. They see grippli as country bumpkins and toads as degenerate cave dwellers.

Legend has it that once upon a time a princess kissed a frog and he turned into a prince, these are what happens when a whore kisses a toad.

Keep it up!

The two folks that always play fighters in my games played the warrior caste toads and the other players didn't seem to mind the uneven stats since they stay up front and never retreat.

Anyway, the post was just for fun, I didn't think it would get a response.
Thanks for the input!

Nice, (I always liked goblins), but they really do need LAs (or some of them do, anyways).
