Inappropriate topics and other places to discuss them

Suppose I'd like the opinion of one or more of the Playgrounders about a topic marked as "Inappropriate": would it be against the rules to invite him to meet in another channel of discussion to talk about it, i.e. join another forum, an appropriate mIRC channel, a Facebook page or the like?

That's typically allowed, assuming the topic you want to discuss isn't illegal in some way. For example, you could ask for an off forum conversation about a political topic, but you would be best advised not to ask for an off forum discussion about how to illegally download copyrighted materials.

Sheriff: As Zeb says, that's typically allowed and a good way to divert a discussion that can't happen here to elsewhere. But don't create discussion of such topics just to shunt them elsewhere and don't advertise some other medium just to generate out-of-bounds discussion.
