To me? They're an abomination. I don't care about any "higher purpose" they might serve. They're only interested in their own fates and agendas, but are willing to involve us lowly "mortals" in their affairs, so long as it gets things done without their perfect little hands getting dirty. ~ Talazramon, a Planar Slayer

The Planar Slayer aims to defeat outsiders and extraplanar creatures aligned with one of the planes associated with an alignment, and often venture to other planes in order to bring about complete destruction of a particularly nefarious or meddlesome outsider.

BECOMING A PLANAR SLAYER

Planar Slayers are almost always Rangers of some sort, and though there is no major collective of Planar Slayers, there are four smaller "schools" of Slayers, one for each alignment extreme: Good, Chaos, Law, and Evil. In order to join, a prospective Planar Slayer must prove their willingness to hunt and slay an Outsider of the specified alignment, and must pass a generally trivial test to prove they are not going to turn on the group after joining.

Weapon and Armor proficiency: A Planar Slayer gains no weapon or armor proficiencies.

Favored Extraplanar Foe (Ex): The Planar Slayer immediately gains an additional Favored Enemy. This Favored Enemy must be either Favored Enemy (Outsider) (Good), (Evil), (Chaos), or (Law), depending on the Planar Slayer's preexisting Favored Enemy choices. If he already has Favored Enemy (Outsider) (Good) or (Evil), he can choose either (Chaos) or (Law). If he already has Favored Enemy (Outsider) (Chaos) or (Law), he can choose either (Good) or (Evil). If he already has two nonconflicting Favored Enemy (Outsider) choices, he can choose a different Favored Enemy for this ability. At no time during his training may he acquire a conflicting Favored Enemy choice (Outsider (Good) or (Law) if he initially chooses (Evil) and (Chaos), etc.)

In addition, the bonus to Bluff, Listen, Sense Motive, Spot, and Survival checks and damage rolls against Outsiders of the alignment of your Favored Enemy choices increases by +2.

Ranger Advancement: While Planar Slayers have their own training, they continue to improve their skills as Rangers. For the purposes of determining when he gains Woodland Stride, Swift Tracker, Evasion, Camouflage, and Hide in Plain Sight, the Planar Slayer adds his Planar Slayer levels to his Ranger levels. For example, a Ranger 6 who gains a level of Planar Slayer would gain Woodland Stride, because his Planar Slayer level (1) plus his Ranger level (6) advances his effective Ranger level to 7.

A character who becomes a Planar Slayer without any levels in Ranger does not gain any benefits from this ability.

Deceiver (Ex): Beginning at 2nd level, a Planar Slayer becomes adept at deceiving and hiding from his extraplanar quarry. When opposing an enemy of one of his Favored Enemy (Outsider) choices, the Planar Slayer gains a +2 bonus to Bluff, Sense Motive, Hide, Move Silently, and Disguise checks. If the opponent belongs to both choices, this bonus increases to +5.

Planar Resistance (Ex): Beginning at 2nd level, a Planar Slayer becomes adept at existing on other planes of existence. At each level above 2nd, the Planar Slayer selects a Plane other than the Material Plane and gains resistance to that plane's nature, as if he were constantly under the effects of a Planar Tolerance spell, but only on the planes chosen with this ability.

Deny Outsider Magic (Su): Beginning at 3rd level, a Planar Slayer can raise a magical defense against magic used by Outsiders of all types. He gains Spell Resistance equal to 11 + his character level against spells and spell-like abilities cast by Outsiders, and against spells that bypass Spell Resistance, he gains a bonus to saves equal to his Wisdom modifier.

Extraplanar Rage (Ex): Beginning at 4th level, whenever a Planar Slayer engages any creature of the (Extraplanar) subtype in combat, he automatically enters a controlled rage state. For the duration of any combat involving enemies with the (Extraplanar) subtype, the Planar Slayer gains a +4 bonus to Strength, a +2 bonus to Constitution, a +2 bonus to Will saves and a -1 penalty to AC. The Planar Slayer does not suffer fatigue or exhaustion from exiting his Extraplanar Rage. While Raging, the Planar Slayer is still able to cast spells.

Minor Alteration (Su): Beginning at 5th level, a Planar Slayer learns to partially attune himself to the pure aligned substance of his quarry, temporarily gaining traits and displays a false alignment if his is different from his quarry's. Once per day per Planar Slayer level as a standard action, the Planar Slayer may grant himself either the Fiendish Creature template (if he has Favored Enemy (Outsider) (Evil)) or the Celestial Creature template (if he has Favored Enemy (Outsider) (Good)) for up to 10 minutes at once. He may dismiss this alteration as a free action. While the Minor Alteration holds, the Planar Slayer displays an alignment on the Good-Evil axis according to the Alteration (Evil for Fiendish, Good for Celestial) to those that attempt to detect his alignment. For all purposes, he retains his normal creature types and subtypes.

Dismissive Strike (Su): Beginning at 6th level, a Planar Slayer may defend a plane from invaders by striking a foe with a specially prepared strike. In order to make a Dismissive Strike, the Planar Slayer must expend a Divine spell slot and must spend a full round action to make a single special attack against a creature that currently has the (Extraplanar) subtype. The Planar Slayer gains a bonus to attack rolls on this attack equal to the level of the Divine spell slot expended. If his attack is successful, the victim of the attack suffers no damage but is immediately affected as if by a Dismissal spell. For the purposes of the Dismissal spell, use the Planar Slayer's total attack bonus for this attack as his Caster Level.

Bane of Outsiders (Ex): Beginning at 7th level, a Planar Slayer becomes even more deadly against those Outsiders he has sworn to hunt and destroy. Any weapon the Planar Slayer wields gains the Bane property against Outsiders that match his Favored Enemy choices. Against Outsiders that match both his Favored Enemy choices, the weapon applies its Bane property twice (+4 to hit and +4d6 damage).

Obliterate Outsider Magic (Su): Beginning at 8th level, a Planar Slayer disrupts the magic of his victims with his attacks. For every two hits the Planar Slayer makes against an Outsider that matches one of his Favored Enemy choices, the Outsider loses one spell or spell slot of its max level. Once it runs out of max level spells, it uses the next lower level, and so on. In addition, Outsiders that cast spells or activate spell-like abilities in an area threatened by the Planar Slayer provoke an attack of opportunity from the Planar Slayer.

Pierce Outsider Defenses (Su): Beginning at 9th level, a Planar Slayer learns how to quickly alter his attacks to bypass his victims' defenses. Any weapon the Planar Slayer wields bypasses the Damage Reduction and Regeneration qualities of Outsiders that match one of his Favored Enemy choices.

Major Alteration (Ex): Upon mastery of his skills as a Planar Slayer, the Planar Slayer permanently becomes the image of those he hates most. He gains the Half-Celestial template if he has Favored Enemy (Outsider) (Good), and he gains the Half-Fiend template if he has Favored Enemy (Outsider) (Evil). His type remains unchanged (he does not become an outsider) and instead of gaining the normal Smite ability, he gains Smite Good (if he is now Half-Celestial) or Smite Evil (if he is now Half-Fiend) usable at-will. These smites otherwise work identically to the smite attacks normally gained by Half-Celestials and Half-Fiends.

I see one problem:

Minor alteration turns you to Half celestial for 10 minutes/level, but...

Major alteration, working like greater visage of the deity, turns you to Half celestial for 1 round/level. Intended?

EDIT:And with the SR, does it apply to SLA's?

Same question for Obliterate Magic

I could have sworn Greater Visage worked differently, but I guess I was wrong. I'm actually going to change those two around a bit.

The SR does - I'll note that in its description. Obliterate, however, isn't supposed to work on SLAs; only its "provokes AoOs" part does.
