Inkscape Problems

So, Inkscape refuses to work for me. I've copy-pasted the end coding tags, but it still refuses to open. It keeps saying that the preferences is not valid XML document, and then that it cannot open the file. It's really beginning to infuriate me, having spent some hours on the document.

If it says the preferences is not valid XML, then there may not be anything wrong with your document.

What's your OS?

Can you open Inkscape without any document, that is, start a new session?

The "Error" should have a number, I think.
You should copy the error number to google it.
If it doesn't, try copying the whole error message and google it.

Also, visiting the Inkscape Forums is never a bad idea.

Windows XP.

I can open Inkscape. It's just that document.

Up until today I had no idea that the Inkscape Forums existed.
