When I was a lad, I lusted after a "dragon bone" wand, an electronic device that would act as a polyhedral die, lighting up LEDs along it's length. It was advertised in the back of dragon magazine and WAY out of my budget at the time.

A couple of years ago I built a device to act like that, showing a random number on a two digit display whenever you shake it. It simulates a D2, D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20 and a D100.

Hoping to win a laser cutter, I recently got around to writing detailed instructions on how to make it and published it on instructables.com.
