Class Features
All the following are Class Features of the Arcanist.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency
The arcanist is proficient with all weapons made with his Character Creation ability. He gains no proficiency with any armor of shields.

Character Creation (Ex)
The arcanist has no true form. At the beginning of the day when he prepares his invocations he may change his form to anything that is the norm for his race. He may also create a quarterstaff or a short sword that only he may use. This weapon has an enchantment bonus equal to his level divided by 3.

Invocations
An arcanist can use invocations just like a warlock except that he prepares a number of invocations each day as shown on the table. He can learn any invocation by studying someone who possesses the invocation for 1 minute. At every level he knowns a single extra invocation.

The save DC for these invocations is equal to 10 + The equivalent spell level + the arcanist's intelligence modifier. An arcanist learns invocations in 3 levels. 1st level is equivalent to spells of 1-3. 2nd level is equivalent to spells of 4-6. 3rd level is equivalent to spells of 7-9. Use these values to convert pre-existing invocations.

Light Gravity
An arcanist is very light, this translates into a +10 untyped bonus to jump. But anytime he would be pushed at least 10 ft. in any direction he travels another 5 ft.

Book Specialization
The arcanist chooses one book of invocations to specialize in. Once made it cannot be changed. He gains certain abilities depending on which book is chosen:

All invocations from your chosen school have a +1 caster level and +1 to the save DC.

Arcane:
You are immune to magical damage(Like that from a warlock's eldritch blast).

Flame:
You gain immunity to fire.

Stone:
You gain a burrow speed equal to half you base speed.

Storm:
You gain immunity to electricity.

Frost:
You gain immunity to cold.

Underdark:
You are healed by negative energy(this does not interfere with positive energy healing).

Overlight:
You gain fast healing 1/two rounds.

Nature:
You gain immunity to acid.

Seas:
You gain a swim speed equal to half you base land speed.

Cogs:
Once per encounter you gain an extra standard or move action.

Toughness (Su)
The magic of an arcanist extends to protect his body. At 10th level he begins every encounter with temporary hit points that stack with other sources equal to half his total hit points.

At 20th level this increases to give him a bonus equal to his hit points.
