So, I'm going to see I Fight Dragons next week at their concert in NYC. Are there any other fans in the playground? They're a really cool band, and I love the 8-bit/nerd rock influences they've got going. I'd recommend their cover of Coulton's "The Future Soon," (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilX0kjhQ7jA) for those uninitiated but who love Coulton, and for those who don't know either, I'd probably recommend "The Geeks Will Inherit the Earth." She's Got Sorcery (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJ6GOyU2qW0&feature=related) is my favorite. I think it was actually a 'suggest some good music' thread here that introduced me to them, at which time I promptly hit their website and bought all their music.

Oooh, yeah, I love "She's Got Sorcery." And "Don't You" is an excellent parody/deconstruction of some modern pop/rock songs.

Finally, some fellow IFD fans! What did you guys think of the new album?

It's pretty cool. I like "Save World Get Girl" and "cRaZie$" a lot.

Just started listening to them lately! Can't remember how I even started listening to them, but I love them. Insanely jealous that you're getting to see them.

Just finished the concert, and FGSFDS IT WAS GOOD. Their showmanship is amazing, and if anything they're even better in concert than on their album/EPs. The set list contained all the songs I wanted to hear, excepting Don't You, but they did something really neat that compensated for it. They had the A/V guy and the SNES guy play Contra together while the band played the Contra soundtrack. Mind, they didn't get through the first level, but it was awesome nonetheless. Will have pictures up soon!
