One man and one woman, not that we're terribly picky about gender-swapping a character if need be. Or I could perform in drag--it'd get a laugh.

Anyway, I'm searching for the funniest possible scenes for two actors, hoping to get ready for the speech part of a speech and debate event. It'd be perfect if it was about ten minutes--that's the length of the speech--but honestly I'd be happy just to have people list their favorite comedic dialogues regardless of whether we can actually perform them, because I love this stuff and the Playground generally has good taste.

Only four minutes and it has two men, but I think the principal could easily be made female without doing any harm.

There are many (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sShMA85pv8M) variations (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlXjIg4fH74), but many are brilliant.

A classic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sShMA85pv8M) I wouldn't suggest performing it personally because let's be honest, everyone knows of it. But a list of funny 2 person dialogues is incomplete without it, and of course you should check out the rest of their stuff as well.

The first thing I thought of with man/woman sketches was this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rj7O0vGoN5M) from Mitchell and Webb. Who likely have quite a few other humorous dialogues.

Anything between Groucho Marx and Margaret Dumont though they're probably not long enough, and putting many scenes together would just be one man stringing abuses at a hapless woman.

Monty Python has some memorable ones such as Nudge Nudge (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jT3_UCm1A5I), Parrot Sketch (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vuW6tQ0218), and Argument Clinic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQFKtI6gn9Y).

Or pick a scene from Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, such as their game (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-Sx4W2cKlU).

This one is perfect for a speech and debate event. The whole concept is brilliant.

Two of my younger siblings did a scene from Arsenic and Old Lace, the scene where Mortimer first discovers what his aunts have been up to. It was a riot.

I third the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead suggestion. It's hillarious, witty and perfect for a debate setting.

I'm sorry, but the best scene for a debate setting is Monty Python's Argument Clinic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQFKtI6gn9Y) sketch. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern have a very funny scene, but the Argument Clinic is just as funny while making a joke about the nature and definition of argumentation. In a debate setting, there is nothing so perfectly meta.

I would love to, but doing the ending with only two actors would get confusing.

That said, I've done worse, and if we had false mustaches and sufficiently goofy hats for the policemen, we could probably get a laugh out of the character changes. Plus it's a brilliant sketch.

Thanks, all of you, for your suggestions! I haven't actually watched/read most of the scenes yet, but I will.
