This is the campaign world I created. Mostly just showing off.

The world map:
http://images.cheezburger.com/imagestore/2011/11/28/7d7952fe-782c-4191-aa2a-e0023d963a04.jpg

The countries:
The Hagrian Empire is a strong country, famed for its equestrians. It is perpetually at war with the Stultior provinces. Capital: Bultag.

The Stultior provinces are known for their strong - if stupid – population. They are currently at a disadvantage in their war with the Hagrian Empire. Most citizens posses some orc blood due to their proximity to the Jil’Hali’d wastelands. Capital: Asini.

The Jil’hali’d Wastelands are a Vast desert with no political structure, home to many orc and Wemic tribes.

New Hyrtlynd is home to a great Halfling population. The people of new Hyrtlynd are renowned for their hospitality and their meticulous records. According to the archives at Sciden (wherein the world’s greatest library, manned by high-level clerics of Moren, is housed) the Halflings came from a place beyond Geshiquan, which most scholars do not believe exists. Capital: Sciden.

Home to the gnomes, Bardenhope is New Hyrtlynd’s strongest ally. They have not been to war in over 600 years, and they are willing to give generously from their massive gold reserves to keep it that way. Capital: Gildenstrand.

The Warring states of Voltana were once simply the country Voltana. When Agraland destroyed Voltana’s capital, each of the separate voting districts wanted to house the new capital. This devolved into a great war - currently every state is at war with the 28 others. Agraland takes advantage of this confusion, and often sends raiding parties into the neighboring states.

Agraland has the most fertile soil and the largest farms of any nation, making it a huge exporter of food. Despite its “simple farmer” persona, Agraland is home to many shrewd politicians and negotiators. It also contains a powerful cult of Pyrema, which was behind the destruction of Voltana’s original capital. Capital: Hafnoll.

Nyphslonan is notorious for its assassins, and only Agraland can match its political manipulations. Nyphslonan is the only country in which worship of Issomi is permitted. Capital: Sykaleo, home of the assassin’s guild, a powerful entity with members spread out across Geshiquan.

Inhabited by mainly dwarves, Cochu has no aboveground settlements. They are the wealthiest nation in Geshiquan, rivaled only by Bardenhope. Capital: Minewall. Although it is not as great as Ael, it is a magnificent city carved into the stalactites and stalagmites of an enormous cave.

Once an ally of Voltana, Dunavon wielded great power. With Voltana’s dissolution, however, Dunavon has become a state of little importance. Capital: Bansom. While the city was once great, many of its most notable monuments have fallen into ruin.

Scorbis is full of temples and priests, and is the religious center of Geshiquan. Worshippers of all deities, from Er-Zhathin to Leldean, can be found here. They are very much harassed by Greater Aelston, where only Leldean is revered. Capital: Sculend

Berlag is A small, unimportant fishing country. It would have been conquered long ago if it were not so mountainous, making it difficult to attack. Capital: Qatha.

Home to the elves, Crispay is a heavily forested country with strained relations with Cochu. Fortunately, Greater Aelston negotiated a peace between the two, creating a treaty that holds to this day. Capital: Spellwynd. It is home to the greatest center of arcane research in Geshiquan.

Tazal was created as a buffer between Greater Aelston and Scorbis, so that neither attacked the other. its population is mostly uncivilized races, such as the Wemic and various creatures of the woods. Capital: Tegel.

Greater Aelston is militarily and politically the strongest country in Geshiquan. Greater Aelston is only prevented from attacking Scorbis by the existence of Tazal. They dislike Scorbis because of the Scorbian belief that all gods should be worshipped - Greater Aelston believes that only Leldean is worthy of devotion. Capital: Ael. Ael is carved entirely from white marble; when a newcomer enters the city they are temporarily blinded by the brightness. Ael has a large force of guardians (crusaders) whose upper echelon members carry powerful keytools, used for creating portals and disintegrating monsters.

Lesser Aelston was once a part of Strongfield. Lesser Aelston seceded and was protected from Strongfield’s wrath by Greater Aelston’s intervention. They are now an independent entity, with a population of Wolfen and humans who get along amicably.

Strongfield is the second-greatest country in Geshiquan, much to its chagrin. Run by the Wolfen (humanoid wolves), it is constantly feuding with Greater Aelston. Capital: Crystalcliff City, a stronghold carved into the crystalline cliffs that the center of Strongfield holds.

Er-Zhathin: He is the Liar, the Arch Devil, the Enemy, the Destroyer. Together with his consort, Pyrema, he rules the lower planes with an iron fist. He hates Leldean as much as Pyrema hates Becania, and frequently plots to destroy him. He has few worshippers on Geshiquan, but he is revered by some fanatic cults and most devils. Alignment: Lawful Evil. Weapon: Greatsword. Domains: Law, Evil, Trickery, Destruction. Symbol: A red star.

Domains: Water, Chaos, Protection. Symbol: three wavy lines.

Moren: goddess of libraries, Moren holds all knowledge. She is worshipped by most wizards, and those who seek information will often go to her temples. Weapon: longsword, as it is the weapon used most often in books. Domains: Knowledge, Law, Magic. Symbol: a book.

Cabram: God of music, Cabram is also the gods’ jester. He is worshipped by bards and some gnomes, and is known for his quick wit. His duels with Tinser are sometimes physical as well as mental. Domains: Trickery, Chaos, Good, Luck. Symbol: a mandolin.

Tegor: The god of Law, Tegor metes out harsh punishments to criminals. The Inevitables are his handiwork, and he is devoted completely to the law. Alignment: Lawful Neutral. Weapon: Longsword, an echo of his own Sword of Justice. Domains: Law, Protection, Strength. A sword on a scroll.

Domains: War, Strength, Destruction. Symbol: a golden arrow.

Risir: God of swordplay, husband of Egelutia. He sees good and evil, chaos and law as simply different uses of his craft. Bonus points to those who can spot over half of my jokes! (there are 6)

I think you did a good job on the gods, nicely detailed. The only thing I don't understand about the gods is why there are gods of the sea and air, but no gods of fire and earth. Did you intentionally leave those ones out?

Six jokes you say? I'll give it a try.

Drat. I only found one, maybe two.

The Guardians of Ael and their keytools. An obvious Reboot reference. And possibly the fact that the city is so bright that it blinds anyone who enters it. If visitors are given special sunglasses that are locked in place to shield their eyes, then it may as well be the Emerald City.

All in all, an interesting array of countries.

Pyrema and Saraya cover those.
Elemental: You got the first one exactly right. The others include a reference to an old musical, an American Idol reference, and three Latin references. My geekiness is vast and varied.
