A few notes:

I'd like everyone to check in within the next 48 hours to confirm you'll be playing. If not your position will go to somebody else. It's also a good chance to tell others how you can be contacted!

Turns will generally be six days with adjustment phase usually being a day.

Orders should be submitted via PM in a clear, understandable format. So long as I know the three key things - which unit, what action and where to - then orders will be processed properly. Any indecipherable or incorrect orders I have at time of processing will simply not go through. If you could put "Madness" somewhere in the title of the PM to indicate it's relating to this game, that'd be a great help!

The Archduke was tired. The Vienna military parade had been going on all day, and after this his generals wanted to hold a strategic meeting, which if the last few were anything to go by would devolve into lots of drinking and singing until daybreak. Oh, yes. Lots of the drinking.
Sighing, Archduke Franz stood up, and gave a single regal wave to the troops below, to thunderous applause. Sitting back down, he skim-read one of the messages his advisor had prepared for him that had beeen lying on the table next to him for an hour or so. Apparently a group of people in funny costumes had appeared in the main square earlier today, murdered two random people, and vanished. A failed painter and an embittered Serbian nationalist. Ah well. These things happened. It wouldn't change anything in the big picture.
He poured himself another drink. It was going to be a long day.

Sorry, this is sort of random from someone who isn't playing, but we've got one or more (not quite sure yet) vacancies in the chaos variant of diplomacy (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=223769) I'm running. Basically it's like this game only in the beginning there were 34 players each with 1 supply center. We're now 2 years in and have 22 players but a couple have dropped off the face of the map.

So, if you're interested (and haven't been playing in the game already), PM me and I'll let you know if I've got a spot for you. If you're too late, I'll keep you in mind and you can have first crack at any new spots that open up.

FORTY-EIGHT HOUR WARNING

Also a general note. While I've spotted this and it's easily fixed for those that have already submitted orders, in future could you make it absolutely clear which province you're moving FROM and which province you're moving TO? Just using a dash between two provinces could mean either way, and in future I won't be spending the time to figure out what you intended. I'm willing to for the first time, simply because it's obvious as everyone's in fixed positions.

This turn, no. In future, probably. I'll be putting orders straight into the program (with the possibility of minor editing to make the format compatible), I won't be checking each and every order for validity. If it isn't a valid order, the program won't process it and your unit will be autoassigned a hold order.

Also, that would be preferable yes. :smallsmile:

Cant cut support to an attack on the territory.
IE since vienna supported an attack into galacia, it cant be cut by galacia.

I anticipated the possibility of said move, so I asked him very politely to help.

I was hoping you would try to prevent a wales landing myself, so it could have been worse :)

That should be more than enough time :). Gives me time to converse with those who will respond, and learn who won't respond. Anybody who doesn't respond within that time probably wouldn't have responded after that time either :P.

While generally a fair thought, do consider that the next 48 hours is a weekend and contains St. Patrick's day as well :)

Seems there were a couple mistakes. For some reason it didn't read the Italian A tus order and it interpreted the "Kiel moves to Helgoland blight" order as Kie->Hol, so here's the fixed map:
