Have you not had an "abbey normal" day? Trying to avoid boredom (homework, lectures, parties with stuffy old relatives, long car rides, long afternoons...) like the plague?
My solution; listen to music, look up 'far realms' or 'surreal horror' on Google Images. Recently, I have found a new boredom reliever; look up bizarre music videos. Sounds odd, right?

Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SSUQxGjZZ4&ob=av2e) are (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mbBbFH9fAg) a few (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jj_vCNevsfY&feature=channel_video_title). If anyone else has similar videos they've found creepy or particular, please share them. Please.

Welcome to the Freaky Music Videos thread.

Off the top of my head:
Animal Collective's Peacebone (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxvGHQHiY70).
MGMT's Kids (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fe4EK4HSPkI&ob=av2n).
Mr. Bungle's Pink Cigarette (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwWQYg7aS5o) and Retrovertigo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRyh2cxJCp0&feature=related), both of which are fan-made.
And if you really want weird, check out cinematographer Marc Gómez del Moral (http://www.marcgomezdelmoral.com/)'s videos. Be warned that they have quite a bit of nudity and even more of not making any sense at all in them. His video for Battles, Ice Cream (http://www.marcgomezdelmoral.com/#1576293/BATTLES-Ice-cream), is probably safe for work, though.

Feeding Fingers always has pretty strange videos. They're not exactly horror, but they're surreal and somewhat...disturbing to regular people I guess? Their singer used to be a short film director, so he has a good eye for weird.

Fireflies Make Me Sick (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12T9AKtPtRI)
Detach Me From My Head (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_soyq0shI8&feature=related)

I recall a video by a different band (I think) that was about a bunch of little sack boy voodoo doll things beind stitched up by disembodied hands, until they banded together and the main character one took scissors and stabbed the hands a bunch, which was really cool, but I do not remember the song or band unfortunately.

Prepare to have your mind destroyed. I think it counts as SFW since there's nothing explicitly shown. :c x

Couple of Metallica's old music videos would count.

Then there's Deathstars' Synthetic Generation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTPOI6Z6ywk&ob=av2n).

Also Dimmu Borgir's Progenies of the Great Apocalypse (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joEAb_y7ZYA&ob=av3e). But most metal bands would count, I guess.

Also, Radiohead's There There (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AQSLozK7aA&ob=av2e) is a bit weird in its own right.

This one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gu3wkmWxVl8&list=FLOGcz_F7mA_cm1O6FRwWWTA&index=1&feature=plpp_video) almost definitely doesn't count, as it's "fan" made, but it still gave me nightmares.

No, really. Nightmares.

One is disturbing, and has a very sad story behind it.

Enter Sandman is just eerie.

The Unforgiven II is depressingly scary. But the ending will warm your cold, dead heart.

All Nightmare Long starts off mildly disturbing, what with an undead cat and all, but then it progresses into just plain what the fragglerocks.

Oh, don't forget Hangar 18. Yes, I know it's Megadeth, but it's an oddball, showing alien mutilations, and a mildly upset costume Vic Rattlehead.

Its been years since I listened to any music that falls under this category, so I can't give you exact examples, but music that falls under the visual kei (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_kei) category tended to have 'freaky' music videos.
Hmm. You might also try something like Dir En Grey (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amSjXtlRWpQ). They used to fall under that Visual Kei style, but the music had a shift over and now its... louder. A lot of the videos though tend to be 'watch these guys rock out' but some of them are kind of 'freaky'.

Anything by Ozzy Osbourne.

Simply because it has Ozzy in it.

Here's Life Won't Wait (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAh_SCjCh8A) and Let Me Hear You Scream (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rsa4HktvsU4&feature=relmfu).

Extreme Animals, the youtube video is called "the peace tape" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLHOeCK3QBI), not sure what the song is called. Dark Green (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vuvxZGiJ00) is also pretty good.

EDIT: the video for Pretty When You Cry (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOZ6ptqcbUc) is pretty freaky. Remember that one from the "most evil song" thread a while back.

EDIT:EDIT: I just keep remembering more of these. Space Lord - by Monster Magnet (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dscfeQOMuGw&ob=av2e) is pretty freaky.

Oh, and Venetian Snares - Szamár Madár (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PBeKzVhWHY) might freak you out. You'll know it when it happens.

Land of Confusion (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zU9lv_WqK6k), by Genesis, one of the most horrifying videos of the 80s.

Have you looked at this webpage (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/HighOctaneNightmareFuel/MusicVideos) yet? Tv Tropes never fails me.

I don't think that these ones have been posted yet:

Right Now - Korn (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRPxao3e_jY&ob=av2e) I'm not a Korn fan, but I liked this one.

Obscure - Dir En Grey (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZZsuJw3Ruc). Japan has to one up us in every category, don't they? NSFW, by the way.

I'll look for more, but the TvTropes page I linked to has loads of them.

Fantasy (DyE) and Do the Evolution (Pearl Jam) have already been suggested, but personally I thought the animation (PJ's 90's animation especially) was ridiculously awesome rather than scary.:smallcool:.

Blood Red Sandman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkw4jhDE1eQ) is a good one. Plays like a typical slasher movie scene.

Or anything by Tool, really. Stinkfist, Schism, pretty much any song they made a video for is pretty disturbing. Then again, the songs themselves can be a bit disturbing if you actually pay attention to what's being sung.

Seconding almost anything by Aphex Twin, not just Come to Daddy.

Thirding this. I submit Windowlicker (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uP_3goBZj1Y) and Donkey Rhubarb (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tatccHVfuhA&feature=related) as further evidence that something is really wrong with that guy. Windowlicker has swearing at the beginning, beyond that I can't remember whether the videos are SFW or not, but even if they are you might not want people to see you watching them.
