Paranoia Savant

If you're not prepared for floors turning out to be illusions over zombie raptor pits, you probably shouldn't be adventuring.

Paranoia Savants are experienced adventurers who know that anything bad that can happen not only will happen but will happen to them. That's ok, though. They're ready for it.

Being a Paranoia Savant is all about preparation. Your friends may think you're crazy to cart around a gallon of cheap vodka everywhere and never drink it, but when they get jumped by an Executioner's Hood, they'll be grateful.

Prerequisites:
8 ranks in craft(trap)
at least 5 ranks in at least 8 other skills

Playing a Paranoia Savant

Spending hours of game time listing your preparations wouldn't be much fun, especially not for the other players. Also, listing your preparations explicitly would only let your character be as good at this as you are, missing the point of having a class. Instead, you simply declare that you are making preparations and reveal what they were when they take effect.

Efficiency

Not every preparation turns out to be needed. Some dungeons don't contain were-platypuses at all and you wind up carrying the silver dagger and antivenom for nothing. As you progress in this class, the ratio of useful preparation to total preparation improves. This is known as efficiency.

Saw It Coming(ex): You have already thought of the dozen most effective ways for someone to hurt you, and have ameliorated them somewhat. At each level you a form of defense:
Trapfinding(ex): as rogue
Uncanny Dodge(ex): as rogue. If you already have uncanny dodge, gain improved uncanny dodge. Levels in this class stack with any others for uncanny dodge level.
Int To Ac(ex): To a max of your Paranoia Savant level. Does not stack with other int to ac powers.
Evasion(ex): as rogue. If you already have evasion, gain improved evasion.

Packed For This(ex): When you are in a major shopping center, you may "pack for trouble". Choose how much money to spend and how much weight and volume of carrying capacity to set aside (incidentally, most Paranoia Savants love extra-dimensional space). When you later need an item, you may take it out of what you packed. The total price and size of the items you take must be less than your efficiency of the total you spent (calculate each dimension seperately).

Trained For This(ex): When attempting to do something unusual with a skill you have ranks in, such as reciting the birthdays of the mistresses of the Minister of Agriculture or balancing on an overturned novelty pencil, you have odds equal to your efficiency of having trained for this specific task. If so, you gain a +20 circumstance modifier.

Prepared For This(ex): If you have access to the battlefield or some aspect of it beforehand, you may "prepare for trouble". Declare how much time and resources (e.g. spell slots, caltrops) you are spending on your preparations. During trouble, you may declare what the preparations were, up to a limit of your efficiency of what you spent (again, count each dimension separately). The "battlefield" can be anything that will be present, so you could use this to prepare your outfit for a formal ball.

Stashed For This(ex): If you are in an area that you have lived in for a long time, and you have a sudden need of a safe hiding hole with basic mundane equipment, there's a chance equal to your efficiency that you already prepared one within easy reach.
