This started a few days ago. There are two particular websites that I can't seem to access right now. I've narrowed it down to the fact that my computer is the problem, seeing as other computers can access the sites, even when connected to our wireless router. I can also access one of the sites if I use a web proxy (namely proxy.org).

Browser: Windows 7
Computer: Asus u46e-bal5

Things I have tried
-Running malware scanners (Malwarebyte's AntiMalware and Super Anti Spyware)
-Disabling all protection (including Windows Firewall) and then trying to access the sites
-Flushing the DNS
-Restoring the hosts file to default

I've also tried to tracert or ping the websites. Both result in a "General Failure".

Have any other ideas of how to fix this?

have you tried manually changing your IP address?

some sites will ban whole IP ranges to deal with problems.

I've tried some of the methods, but they don't appear to be working.

Like one method, where in the command prompt, you type "ipconfig /release" and then "ipconfig /renew". That doesn't seem to be working, either.

This is what it looks like when I type ipconfig /release

What does it show if you type "ipconfig /all"?

Cookie setting can sometimes give you a hassle here. Check those out.

I know you probably left them out on purpose, but giving us the websites might help us narrow down your potential problems.

Which websites can't you access? It might be a problem on their end. Or it might be your work or school blocking them.
