What do you mean by combined level? Not all psionic classes have the same number of power points or the same progression. Do powers stay the same? Why not just have them continue gaining bonus power points as a character of their level?

it is only kinda a power boost. most casters won't notice, but if you multi class you will stay level appropriate. no new powers or ML, just power points as a pure caster of the level of the sum of all the charictars pure manifesters. classes with a smaller pp progresion are discounted, because they progress... oddly.
