 Please read as far as the double lines before posting in this thread

The Good League of Good is a Nexus organization devoted to the redemption of evildoers and the care and support of those in need. If you are looking to smite evil, please check out HALO or WATCHTOWER.

If you are brand new to ffrp, please come to the Nexus OOC thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=240899) and introduce yourself. We all want to meet you!

A Brief History of GLoG:
You know what this OP needs? A brief history of GLoG. Which would have to be written by one of the few people who were around from the beginning. Any volunteers?

Our Redemption Program:
Individuals who come in search of redemption should be interviewed by a member to see how their needs can be best met, and then assigned to a mentor who will assist them. Graduation from the redemption program will occur when both the redemee and his/her mentor agree that they have made sufficient progress.

Other Charitable Activities:
In addition to the redemption of evildoers, the organization performs other good works such as caring for distressed individuals in need, housing and feeding evacuees from the city during disasters, and healing sick and injured people in GLoG's infirmary - renowned as the most advanced place of healing in the Nexus.

Attention villains:
Conflict is great! It's the heart of any story, and there isn't much to roleplay without it. However, as a player to player courtesy, please check in with the players who are active at any given time before launching an attack. Not everyone wants to roleplay combat scenes, and sometimes there are other things going on (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0497.html) that players don't want to interrupt for a random fight. Either a PM/IM to players, a short post in thread to say ((Mind if I introduce a villain here?)) or a longer post in the OOC thread if it's a larger plot is appreciated.

Also, please don't plan any villainy that will result in destroying the base or having the same effect (poisoning the lake, burning down the forest, etc.) without the consent of the majority of the players who would be affected.

Base Defences:
There is a perimeter of cactus plants to encourage anyone on foot to enter by one of the main entrance points.

((If any of your characters add more defences, please PM them to the person who made this thread so they can be added.))

======================================

If you're a newbie, and you've read this far, you should know enough to join in the fun.
Everything beyond this point is Bonus Material.

Members/Residents:
Please PM the creator of the OP to be added to the list when you bring a character into the thread with the intention of redeeming or of having them reside here on a regular basis. IC, we'll assume there's a sign in log somewhere. :smalltongue:

Our IC leadership council:
Andreas Emeral (played by Zefir)
Brand Applehill (played by happyturtle)
Quinn (played by The Bushranger)
Pathfinder (Wolfbane)
Reelshka (played by Morty)
Runner (played by KerfuffleMach2)
Shrike (played by The Bushranger)
Zamira (played by horngeek)
Ironbeard (npc, can be played by anyone)

The leadership council exists so that any one member can make important decisions affecting all of GLoG. Basically, when someone shows up and says 'I need to speak to the person in charge', any one of the leadership council can handle it.

Description of the new GLoG setting:
Map:
http://i749.photobucket.com/albums/xx135/oots12321/Other/GLoGMap7_zps7ebebcdb.png
By Gulaghar
After the original GLoG building was destroyed by an army of catpeople, the survivors took out a mortgage and purchased Phoenix Lake Campground. Facilities include the main lodge house, a bathhouse with separate male and female sections, a stable (one horse present, a chestnut mare named Fancy owned by Dr Burnett), various picnic shelters, and a few scattered cabins. It's set in the foothills of the Acro mountains, and mainly surrounded by woods. There are many hiking trails nearby leading to mountaintop vistas, waterfalls, seacoves, and various other locations, both within this thread, and in the Outside thread. The campground is also within easy walking distance of the city of Inside, though there is also a Riftline station just outside the campground for those who prefer to take the train or who have farther to go.

At the lake, there is a small dock with a little shed nearby where a few canoes and paddleboats are stored. The swimming area has a GIANT slide and a rope swing. Because GIANT slides and rope swings are awesome. There is a sandy volleyball court not far from the slide, a playground under the trees, set back from the lake somewhat, and a set of horseshoe pits.

Having been built on a Generic Ancient Burial Ground, Phoenix Lake Campground is haunted by various ghosts. They are generally harmless, and for the most part glad to have some company, though pranks and hijinks may occur. Ghosts can be NPC'd by anyone unless they are listed as PCs in the Member/Resident list. They tend to speak in Gray, and mostly appear for comic purposes, but this is by no means a requirement.

Buildings:
Main Lodge: This large building contains an industrial kitchen with a cafeteria style serving area, and an open space that was once used as the dining hall. The space is warmed by a massive fireplace. Bunk beds are lined up on one end of the hall, opposite the kitchen, and a few comfy chairs and sofas are beginning to appear around the fireplace as they are procured. The building itself is made of stone.

Bathhouse: This building is divided into the men's and women's bathhouses, with entrances at either end. It has shower stalls, a line of sinks, and toilet stalls in each.

Cabins: Individuals can have their own room within a cabin, but they are unlikely to have a full cabin to themselves unless they come equipped with a family. Some of the cabins have been rebuilt, so may have more space than the 4 room cabins the campground came with, and a few cabins have had private bathrooms installed. All cabins are named after trees, and players are free to invent further details about their own cabins.

Main Lodge - Willow
Infirmary - Cedar

Cabin 1 - Oak
Cabin 2 - Sycamore
Cabin 3 - Redwood
Cabin 4 - Maple
Cabin 5 - Apple - Visitor's Cabin
Cabin 6 - Cherry
Cabin 7 - Chestnut
Cabin 8 - Birch
Cabin 9 - Dogwood
Cabin 10 - Elm - full
Cabin 11 - Denim - family cabin
Cabin 12 - Rowan - family cabin
Cabin 13 - Poplar - family cabin
Cabin 14 - Forest Hut - family cabin
Cabin 15 - Sapling - nursery

Cabin 5 - Apple is reserved for visitors who do not want to stay at the lodge. They are requested to check in at the main lodge, where any member can give them permission to stay for a few days. Longer than that, and unless they are in need, they would be requested to either join or move to their own place or one of the local inns.

New cabins can be added as the needed. Here is a list of unused tree names:

Linden, Larch, Ash, Pine, Magnolia, Olive, Fir, Spruce, Holly, Cottonwood, Cypress, Hemlock, Teak, Ebony, Pear, Fig, Date, Mahogany, Palm, Lime, Acadia, Gumbo Limbo…
Workshop: A well built cabin designed by Reelshka, containing nothing at present but the Mainframe installation. It is locked. Drones fly in and out of a small entrance that opens for them when they send an encrypted signal.

Infirmary: If no PC is present in the Infirmary, patients are tended to by Nurse Piper, a ghost NPC who haunts the infirmary. Despite being a ghost, she is solid enough when managing anything to do with nursing. She has a tyrannical bedside manner, but will always put the welfare of her patients first. She is able to generally stabilize patients and do general nursing care, but cannot provide magical healing or any type of advanced medicine that would normally be performed by a doctor.

PC healers include:
Quinn (The Bushranger) - doctor and paladin
Tobias (Firefox) - druid healer
Dr Adrian Rein (Murkus) - doctor

(PM the keeper of the OP if you want your character to be added to this list)

Infirmary Description
The outside of the infirmary looks just like all the rest of the buildings. Nothing distinguishes it at all.

But inside, everything is white, with silver highlighting. Even though it doesn't seem possible, when looking from outside, sunlight filters inside. Giving the place a warm feeling with natural light.

A soft, soothing music filters through the whole building and voices can barely be heard saying words of healing and comfort, like: "You are going to be okay." "We'll take care of you." "You are dear to us." and so on.

Each room is walled off for a limited amount of privacy, because the pixies know that humans seem to need this. Strange. But it is limited. There are no doors.

Kinda looks like this:
______________________________________
___/___/___/___/___/___/___/___/___/___
__/___/___/___/___/___/___/___/___/___/
__________________________________---
_\___\___\___\___\___\___\___\___\___\_
__\___\___\___\___\___\___\___\___\___\

Except the angles are more severe, so that people on the other side of the hall can't see into anyone's room. Only someone intentionally looking in, can see you.

There is also a small living area in the back for the Druid family.

About the Drones Mk 2:
In other news, the drones are back at GLoG (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=10099372#post10099372). Drones are NPCs who can be played by anyone, within the guidelines below:

Their Primary Function is member safety.
They no longer have teleport beams or alignment scanners.
They do have stun beams, little arms, and the ability to record what's going on around them.
They follow orders, unless those orders conflict with their Primary Function.
There are only 4-5 in operation at any one time.
They can be destroyed, but if so, they'll be restored from backup.
A few have been supplied with medical programming, and thus can be godmodded for infirmary duties.
They often have weird personality quirks and are prone to malfunctioning.
Statement: They speak in DarkOrange FixedSys
The only named drone (so far) is Caretaker, who is a private drone charged with protecting Brinika and controlled by Morty.

http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x280/kriskatarn/GLoGDrone.png

There was some discussion about whether or not the time of the drones has passed, but since they are still sometimes used for mostly comic purposes, and since Brinika's personal drone is onscreen a lot, it seems right to keep a few around.

Kitty shifts position for the third time in five minutes. It's obvious she's getting restless. She sees no sign of her doctors coming back any time soon, either. "I'm tired of this." She says aloud, probably only to the benefit of Copi. The kitsune swings her feet over the edge of the bed. "I'm going for a walk, anything's better than laying around here."

Copi, who has been zoned out for entirely too long, looks at Kitty. "That sounds like a fine idea. Do you have any preference on whether I accompany you?" She stands up, as if she hasn't been sitting still for a while now and should probably be sore or something.

Copi will follow Kitty. She will be a bit behind her, enough that she isn't awkward to talk to but at the same time she can watch Kitty's body language. She specifically want to watch her body language, yes, see if she can pin down just how upset Kitty is.

Mechanical right eye clicking and whirring quietly, the young lady looks around, seemingly wondering whether she needs to wait before coming in.

Copi sits down, too. "The main issue is the lack of information. You have something odd with your soul, we don't know what the actual issue is." Copi shrugs. "Advanced magic might be nice, to find the details of the issue. Beyond that, I can only think of two ways to get them. One is to ask a powerful being, and that has a ton of issues. The other way, and this might just be an odd idea that is of no use and could be dangerous, is to examine your mind for any obvious problems. However, it depends on how your mind interacts with your soul, which depends on how exactly souls work where you come from. There is a chance that such a thing would simply be a pointless and potentially dangerous exercise."

"While I'm not sure what Quinn did, it would likely be like the difference between a good look at a situation and actually sitting down in the situation and bothering to learn ALL of the context and how EVERYTHING works together. In theory, a skilled psychic could find anything that has an effect on your mind, like a mechanic going through a clock with a fine-tooth comb."

"However, if Quinn can't find anything with a mental scan, doing an in-depth mental investigation is unlikely to find much. As said, it depends on how your soul interacts with your mind, the exact nature of the trouble... in fact, it would be more likely to find something you had forgotten concerning the feeling, than the cause of the issue itself."

"In short, I believe that it might be too much of a hassle with too little evidence to lead me to believe it might be useful. While an interesting notion, I believe that additional information would be needed, in addition to a gifted and experienced psychic or the proper magic."

Justin may think he has died and gone to heaven. Against the two long walls are five rifles each, accompanied by a full set of combat fatigues amounting to kevlar body armour, helmets, gas masks, and a variety of pouches and pockets, most empty. Against the opposite wall are piled lots and lots of boxes. Some contain twelve frag grenades, whilst others have magazines for either the rifles or the pistols. There's also a single light machine gun and its associated ammunition. Most of the boxes are unopened.

He's not leaving unencumbered, is he? Because he's not leaving anything behind. Not a single damn thing. Some of this is easy. Grenades, machine gun, bullets, armor, even a few of those gasmasks can all go into the bag. The rifles, well most of those come with straps to carry them.

Assuming he's checked all the boxes, which if not, he does, he leaves a clanky, wobbly, mess.

Soon enough something happens. Copi comes into a clearing, in the center of which is a fox's den. The fiery wisps seem more dense here, though none touch Copi. Everything seems to be moving fast. I don't know what you're talking about Copi is clearly two feet to the right. She feels that given her freedom in the realm of the mind, there's no reason to follow the rules of physics in their entirety. They're just metaphors in here, anyway. Maybe not even metaphors, but rather illusions conjured to give a mind a kind of grounding.

Copi will take a moment to examine the Ichor. Is it actively harmful to the mind? Or is it maybe some bizarre natural going-on that should not be disturbed? Would it be harmful to her?

Well, could it be harmful to her in theory. It would take something really nasty to actually harm her, given that she's just projecting into Kitty's mind.

Copi makes her avatar disappear... not just invisibility, but an utter hiding of all evidence that she is in the mind. It should be effective unless Kitty has some kind of mental sense... but at the same time, Copi is kept from doing anything other than moving or watching. Which is okay, since that's what she's been doing.

However, she is worried. She splits her attention (it's easy enough for her) so that she can both watch Kitty in reality and watch her mind scape. If real kitty begins sobbing or gibbering, Copi wants to know.

No.

Kitty will find a green barrier between herself and Copi. "I'm sorry Kitty, but I believe that to leave you in this state would be irresponsible of me."

Nice words for what is going on inside the mind.

Trying to consume Copi is about as effective as trying to consume a clown tank full of badgers: It's entirely too durable for it's size, much more dangerous than the appearance would lead you to believe, and it's full of an infinite flood of claws and teeth and rage.

Except instead of rage it's No.

Copi is telling the anger that No. Copi's mental defenses are a veritable fortress, she has too strong a hold of herself to let herself be hurt... and she's optimizing her defenses against it even now.

From there, it's a matter of putting that No into Kitty's mind. Copi reaches out, and doesn't bother taking up a proper avatar. She is shown as what her mind really is: a mental impossibility.

The swirl of utter madness, with the gears of unrelenting logic. The wild energy of a tornado, with the reasoning capability of a careful debater. A thing that is now operating within the realm it was broken, shattered, reforged, and refined in: the mind.

The truth of the matter is, Copi isn't a human being anymore: she's a psychic anomaly in a body.

That is also a simultaneously a clown tank full of badgers of No and a psychic fortress and a psychic abomination cyclone. You're in the mind, impossibility is for the weak.

Albeit, Copi is being very careful to not hurt anything other than the rage. The rage is the only target: Copi is trying to systematically remove it with the utmost efficiency.

Hmm. This is a situation in which a different angle of observation might be useful. She is a plastic entity within a fox's den. There is a fox here (representing Kitty?) and a horrible wrong thing disguised as a fox kit. The fox kit is entwined with the world/fox on an innate level...

Ah. As the movie "inception" said and was echoed by the internet for a few years after, she must go deeper. The question is, the Kit or the "Mother"?

Choose a third option: simultaneously attempt to enter the mindscapes of both mental entities and then attempt to unwork the connection from both ends. That sounds like a good idea.

Entering both minds gives an interesting perspective. The "mother's" mind represents Kitty's current state. It's very inactive at the moment. Here it's obvious that this whole ordeal is hard on her, but nothing she can't handle.

From the "kit's" mind she can tell that the intelligence behind it is incredibly simple and undeveloped. But what's more noteworthy is its connection to Kitty. On Kitty's side the connection was wide and spread out. On this end it focuses in, like the other end of a funnel. It's clear that Kitty's mind if directly feeding the kit. What seems to be coming though are emotions and desires, though there's little to pick up on at the moment.

The actual connection is on Kitty's end; that is what must be undone. She will start by beginning to try to deactivate the connection slowly, reducing the input from Kitty. "I admit I'm not sure why you are suffering physically; I would have stopped earlier but I can't help but feel that leaving you in utter rage would be counterproductive."

"Oh, I've been alright. Just a little bored," Patty admits with a smile of her own, going to give Julie a quick - but non-TK-disrupting - hug. "So how are the twins? Still keeping you frazzled?" she asks teasingly.

Rowan Cabin

Julie's focus isn't on the telekinesis, but the knife is still doing its job. She makes sure to squeeze Patty back extra tight in response, "Surprisingly not. They're getting less harrowing to deal with every day, even if Scylla keeps insisting on getting into trouble. If you're bored though, you're always welcome to drop by and say hello to anyone here."

[Rowan Cabin - Kids' Room]

Nicholas walks up to Scylla and nuzzles her hand a little, looking up at her. The two babies do smell weird but he's used to strange smells. And there are pets to be had.
Sophie, meanwhile, crouches and looks at the two far-children and her cat.
"Yes, he is. I got him a while ago as my pet. Isn't he great?" she asks with an encouraging smile.

Scylla nods happily as she runs her fingers through the cat's fur, agreeing with Sophie on that point in full. Prism just holds out a single finger in front of Nicholas' nose, timid and unsure of how to react.

"Without a ship, anybody else that survived are stranded on islands inhabited by Island Goblins. I don't know how I got here, Your Holiness, but Island Goblins will kill everybody they find and it's several thousand miles to the nearest safe shore. We rely on our ships, Your Holiness, and our rowing-boats are, unfortunately, inferior over long distances to the canoes and rafts made by Island Goblins. And I don't care if you tell your priests that I said that, Your Holiness. Elves are not inherently superior, just more civilised." Because a Sea Elf wizard focusses on making sure the ship is as good as it possibly is and doesn't bother with the boats, whilst Island Goblin wizards maintain the fleet of war-rafts and canoes used by their people. Sea Elves use ships like floating fortresses, so focus on making them strong and sturdy, but Island Goblins use their canoes as steeds, focussing on speed and stealth.

Also, the last two sentences are said with fierce determination.

Pathfinder's Hut - Levi jeans

The man whose cape blows dramatically in the wind looks down at Pathfinder's mixtures of powders, as he thinks about how to answer the question. "Generally...I suppose they eat meat, just like most other animals. The difference is that they like eating people once in a while."

He answered the first question, which was the harder one. The second half of the question is certainly easier, and so Levi answers this one much more quickly. "The best way to get rid of one is, of course, killing it. Barring that, the next-best way is to shine a really bright light at it. They're slightly nocturnal, like bats or dogs or deer." After that, he doesn't know any effective way to get rid of one. Everyone has their own wives' tale, like hanging a headless chicken in front of your house, or yodelling "Happy Birthday" at the top of your lungs, but those haven't been proven to have any great effect.

Pathfinder's Hut - Levi

"So a normal weapon will work?" Pathfinder asks, slightly confused as to how it could cause so much trouble if the answer was this simple. "Either way, step closer to the fire." He tells Levi before tossing a handful of powder onto the flames, causing them to erupt into a bonfire.

"As long as it glows," replies the swordguy. Weapons that don't glow are generally ineffective. Only glowing weapons, like swords and laser guns, can kill one. The brighter the glow, the better. Run-of-the-mill weapons don't, unfortunately.

The reason why they cause so much trouble is because, where he comes from, someone killed the sun so now it ain't gonna shine no more. That's probably why this one made refuge in Levi by possessing him - it just doesn't like the sun very much.
It's very bright.

When told to approach the flames, he nods and walks up to the fire. A bit closer.

When the fire bursts, Levi notes that, if he were any closer, his eyebrows would turn to ash.

Like what generally happens with bonfires, Levi's shadow starts dancing and it becomes thicker and darker.

"...what now?" he asks, raising an eyebrow at Pathfinder.

With regards to the Shadow Beast, it appears that Levi's pupils grow slightly larger, in spite of the brighter flame.

Lots of little girls have crushes on grown men they know. Very few of those crushes survive childhood, and fewer still actually result in a mature adult relationship.

Nicholas patiently lets Prism pet him as well. He's pretty good with children, it would seem.

When Scylla begins to purr, he meows in confusion. Why does this strange-smelling little person sound just like him?

Sophie, meanwhile, raises her eyebrows. "Oh my. You sound just like him. How did you learn that?" she asks.

Rowan Cabin - Kids' Room

" I 'dunno. Could always do it." Scylla says back in a perfect imitation of Sophie's voice, smiling cheekily.

Quinn can't tell much more than what she learned from Copi, but perhaps a first hand investigation will yield more information. She will of course notice the connection to Kitty's mind. From within the kitsune's mind it's very difficult to detect, but if she examines it from the perspective of the attached mind, it's huge. Quinn will detect that it's drawing in emotions and desires from Kitty, though the "flow" is limited at the moment.

Examining Kitty's mind further will reveal very little that is out of place. She's mentally exhausted at the moment, and the parasitic link is there, but nothing else is out of place.

Examining the mind linked to and feeding off of Kitty's reveals that it's very simple. No real independent thought of its own. There's some sign of emotional activity, but it's not very sophisticated.

As for why it's effecting her physically, there's no direct link visible from this perspective. She may have to approach it differently.

The planes are either in the hangers, or flying around at the time the photographs were taken. Besides which, I don't think an aeroplane has any identifying marks when viewed from above; anti-aircraft guns aren't going to be shooting at the top of a plane, and in a dogfight a pilot presumably knows which models are on whose side.

"What? Me?" Ohoho, this is going to be brilliant! Two people who won't tell each other what they do with their day. There's no way he'll let someone who thinks he's a hero know he's been a scavenger and a thief his whole life, or that up until he started squatting in a bowling alley, he's been sleeping in regular alleys.

Wow, typing it out like that, Justin's a pretty sad case, and his only realization of it is that he thinks it's embarrassing.

"I don't really have a job. My expenses are low and I have a lot saved up," he answers, referring to some buried treasure he split with Julie and hundreds of thousands of dollars of Pre-war hyper-inflated money he passes off as working cash. "I sort of do, I guess people here call them quests and adventures, to top off my savings or to keep my skills sharp. Also," he stumbles as he tries to spit it out, "I don't have a girlfriend." That's question was a bit surprising actually. Most people don't assume he has a Girlfriend. Most are somehow psychically aware he doesn't.

[Alyca and Miriah's Cabin of Unsullied Love Crushes and Merciless Murder]

"Oh, good-"

No Alyca! What series of events are you setting in motion? You're not supposed to endorse Justin's loneliness! Disavow any knowledge of what you are insinuating this instant! Love is folly and a hazard in your line of work! You should have given up on it the day you were instated as a field agent! You can't have a bf impinging on your privacy, texting you every five minutes while your out on top secret missions with planet-wide consequences and repercussions. Flout the normal conventions of love, the virtue that has been touted as one of the most fantastic feelings and experiences (or set of experiences) life has to offer! Don't let a cute boy rally the childish dreams that saved you from self-slaughter! You're not a princess and he's not your Prince Charming. He may be enticing, but he's a lure. A trial to overcome! Your emotions cannot dominate you and dictate your actions, agent. Your life for the good of all of us (except the ones who are dead)! You took an oath of duty! Adam didn't authorize this!

But most critically, you need to be flirty and subtle and a smooth operator if you want to land this catch! Being straightforward, open, and honest will get you nowhere, according to the training manuals. Thus...

Mayday! Mayday! Abort! Abort!

"-ness gracious me! I forgot to melt the butter!"

Alyca has always believed that, as life is short, she should live it to the fullest with no regrets. As such, she chooses to "overlook" procedure and caution entirely as she stands, walks over to the kitchen (her heart racing in her chest), and melts a stick of previously refrigerated butter in a cast iron pot on the gas range.

"Have you any plans for tomorrow night, Justin? 'Cause if you're free, I thought you might be interested in party-going...with me. But if you aren't free, I totally understand!"

This invitation entails much nervousness and mild embarrassment!

"Perfect! I'll swing by your place in my Aston Martin around six o'clock and we'll be off!"

Decisions, decisions! Would you like Justin to be in attendance at Slii's Halloween party or would you like Justin to meet James Blond?

His place? Oh nonono. Justin illegally squats in a bowling alley. Although a hypothetically clean bowling alley if his plans for tomorrow morning pan out. Even so, he is not getting picked up for his first date THERE. "My place is a little out of the way, even for Inside. Maybe it would be best if we met at the place or rendevous..." he stops as if he just realized something. "Wait. You know how to drive? And you have a car? An Aston Martin?" But she's a former slave, from a medieval culture. Does not compute.

Disc four contains a tactical summery of various nations. The first is the United States of America, and Newly Annexed Canada. It recommends ignoring them for the time being; the American government is too busy defending its own territory from Canadian guerillas in the forests and the Chinese invasion of Washington. Also remarks that America's a superpower, and should be treated with caution; just because they're British allies doesn't mean they should be trusted.

Next is China; also recommends ignoring- the fight between the two has been a long time coming and getting involved on either side will place British citizens at undue risk. So long as China ignores Britain, Britain can ignore China.

Third is France; recently a military coup overthrew the civilian government and they started making overtures to the possession of the Channel Islands. Suggests they should be treated with caution and that Britain should start preparing for a conflict, including approaching other European nations for support. France is known for having large stockpiles of nuclear, biological and chemical weaponry.

Fourth is Germany; recently invaded Denmark over a minor political incident involving the German Ambassador to Denmark's daughter and a senior Danish politician. Known to have the largest stockpile of nuclear weaponry in Europe outside Denmark. Suggests to keep away from possible alliance with either side; involvement offers too large a risk to British citizens.

The rest of the document is long, tedious and mostly corrupted or encrypted or both.

Oh. So that's what they were doing. History sure is fun. Three separate wars, each over something different. Justin is fairly certain as to how the story ends. America and the US look nasty at each other then one fires nukes then the other fires nukes and maybe some other people too, and then the whole world gets screwed. That's a wrap, roll credits, no Oscar.

Getting depressed. Final disc time.

A password window pops up, associated with the number '5'.

Also, no mention has been made of Australasia, Africa or Russia. They might be OK. Then again, maybe there's more than four wars with more than four causes.

The USSR may not have been the primary threat at the time, but they were still commies. They probably got trashed with china, as well as any other members of Communist Asia. Africa and Australia, might be okay though.

What fives have come up so far in the camp? None actually. He'll save that for later. He can hack when he isn't carrying more than his body weight.

I'd forgotten that. Still, Russia's a large country, and quite a bit in the middle is sparsely populated I believe, so it's likely not as screwed as China or America. Or Europe, for that matter.

Also, if Justin thinks that the five is clue, he's sorely mistaken- it's how many attempts he has left before it automatically wipes everything on it, and releases a virus to delete the computer's hard drive too.

That was more my mistake then Justin. He still doesn't hack it on account of lack of clues. And even if he had clues, it might be a french CD, so the password might be as well. Unless it's something obvious like "Vive le France"

That's sort of it for the Laptop bag then. He puts away the computer and CD, and checks those colors that were mentioned earlier.

"I... really don't know anything about it. Whatever you can tell me would be great." Kitty says. Quinn's reassurance helps a bit. Maybe this'll work out fine, even if she has to figure out how to raise a kit.

Quinn smiles, taking a seat next to the bed. Before she starts helping Kitty with Pregnancy for Dummies 101, going into as much detail as necessary!

The colours are tiny plastic counters and miniatures from various boardgames. This is the room that Bramble entered and found the dice, and the remaining remnants of this cabin's rainy day games. Underneath them, and a layer of dust and disintegrated, rotting cardboard, is a plastic folding box marked with chequered pattern of black and white squares.

Kitty has plenty of questions, so they'll be talking for a while. By the end, she at least she feels like she has some idea of what's coming next. The kitsune sighs, looking worn right out. "Okay. So what are we gonna do about the thing with my mind?" Just one major concern to address left.

"That is the question," Says Copi who has been quiet and listening for a while. She isn't checked out anymore, having calmed down. "I still have a grasp on it, but given what we have found it might be best if I release it."

[Alyca and Miriah's Cabin That May or May Not Have a Hangar Bay]

If Justin's bowling alley were renovated it might not be so bad, but since Justin kinda doesn't appear to have the cash on hand for that sort of feat, he'd probably be better off marrying Alyca after their third date like every other Nexus couple and moving in with her and onto the lap of luxury! :smalltongue:

Must it compute? Alyca the forbearing slave-teen might be able to adapt to her environment really, really quickly! She's sharp, coordinated, and disciplined. And karma owes her big time. And she was born in captivity in a modern slave warehouse, I think. She was transferred to a medieval cult in a transaction initiated by Percival the demonazi but most of her time was spent in the technology-adept warehouse designated "Fallow's Furry Friends". While they didn't learn how to serve as a chauffeur there, they did have exposure to electricity and the like, from what I've gathered.

"Why, of course I drive! Who doesn't this day and age! And yes I own an Aston Martin. I won it in a competition! Technically my sister and I won it, but that's pretty much the same thing, isn't it?"

"Let's meet up outside of Trog's. It isn't the classiest bar in town, but it is easy to reach from any neighborhood and none too far from our destination!"

While not exactly a lie, that story on how Alyca and Miriah were issued their spy cars isn't exactly true either. It was a prize that they won, but the competition was bizarrely one-sided. Two-on-twelve is hardly a fair fight if the two silence the twelve with nary a sound!

Y'know, One of my favorite things in FO3 was rummaging. Justin opens the t.v. cabinet in search of goodies.

It's funny you mention renovation because he's probably got more than enough to turn that bowling alley over. I've genuinely been considering him doing that.

That driving thing was rationalized pretty well for him. It's just he has no idea she's from anyplace modern. He doesn't say a thing when she mentions who wouldn't be able to drive.

"Trog's. Yeah. Trog's sounds good. If we're meeting there where are we going afterward?"

[Alyca and Miriah's Cabin and Magic Murder Bag]

It would indubitably be to Justin's advantage to have unrestricted access to a shower before he goes out on a date! Cleanliness is next to godliness and all that jazz! And Alyca, not unlike the majority of people, has a tendency to gravitate toward clean folks and away from smelly folks.

"We have two options open to us as I see it. We could check in on a costume party that's being held in MaGLoG for Halloween or we could alternatively swing by a social a business associate of mine is hosting, an ironed and starched black suit soiree. 'S your call."

And by business associate, she means target!

Monsters 'n ghouls 'n other assorted Halloweeny creatures and concepts or James Blond, fast cars, and spy gadgets?

And Miriah finally enters the room wearing a light blue t-shirt and a denim miniskirt!

"Hello! What are you two up to in here?"
