"GAARRRR!!" The roar of the Garchomp as it emerged from it's pokeball just excited the crowd more, signalling the quarter finals have begun. Sylvia Reid, a returning star to the League Championships released Garchomp as her first Pokemon against Haxorus, the dragon on Xavior Connell's team, the freshest blood in the competition, but easily the most favoured by the crowds.
Another roar from both the Garchomp and the Haxorus, and the battle begins with Garchomp launching an incredible earthquake in the arena. The Haxorus quickly regains it's feet and charges at the Garchomp with a body slam that hits him like a truck.
Professor Elizabeth Pine, the most acknowledged Pokemon professor in the Orion region, has been gifted with 6 tickets to see this quarter final fight by the chairman of the Pokemon League. Having no immediate family, she has offered the remaining 5 tickets to a 4 young friends of hers in the neighbouring town of Veria, and the last to her eager assistant.
"And Haxorus is down!" The MC for the match bellows throughout the arena as Xavior returns his defeated Haxorus, the sends out his next, releasing a large steel Pokemon onto the field. "It's Aagron!!" The cheer of the crowd released well before the announcement, knowing perfectly well the star Pokemon on Xavior's team. "And here comes Garchomp again with an incredible headbut and... Aagron caught him!!" Another deafening roar came from the crowd as the Aagron holds his ground, wrapping his arms around the Garchomp. "Is he... Yes! He's picking up the Garchom- He just threw him across the arena!!"
Professor Pine looks on at the match pleased at the performance of the Pokemon as her assistant sits beside her, eagerly scribbling down notes as the fight goes on. "My my," she says. "Aagron certainly is a powerful one. He seems to be well raised too." The Aagron looks around the arena after the Garchomps hit the wall, letting out a loud roar to match that of the crowd. "AAAAGGGRROOOOONN!!"
Professor Pine gets a small smirk at the Aagron as she looks to you all at the seats beside her, giving her usual comforting smile again. "What do you four think?"

Auel was stunned and happy beyond words when the Professor asked him if he'd like to see the quarter finals. At first his parents did not believe him, thinking it was one of his rebellious plots to get out of the town, but when Professor Pine explained the situation they allowed Auel to go see the Quarter finals.
There he was now, on his seat and completely on the edge. It was a tremendous spectacle, starting with the two dragon like creatures clashing. The roars he felt vibrating within his lungs, and the earthquake attack almost knocked him off his chair. But still his eyes were glued to the battle. Then the Garchomp threw the Haxorus across the arena, bellowing a victorious roar. Auel was intrigued with the sheer strength the Pokemon exuded and again the wish to raise Pokemon of his own panged his heart with envy for those that did. Then the Aggron was released, and Auel's eyes and mind were both focused solely on the battle below. Garchomp crashed into Aggron, hoping to topple it quickly it seems, but Aggrons size and bulk allowed it to whistand the attack and grab it. The following throw sent the crowd chanting, including Auel.
He would have probably continued chanting and cheering like that, had the Professor not pulled him from the view. He looked at her a bit startled of the sudden question. Who was he to judge Pokemon? She was the Professor, she knew their in's and out's.
"Uhmmm, well...they look very strong. I don't know what else to say besides it, other than that it would seem as if the Aggron has the advantage with it's metal body. But seeing this fight...being so strong that the Pokemon trust and follow you. I wish I could do that too.I wish I had a Pokemon too...

Amy was sitting in her seat, watching the battle below as well. She couldn't help but be fixated on the battle going on. The first crush made her wince, the earthquake made her clutch the arms of her seat to avoid falling out of it, and the second throw caused her to momentarily look away, but all in all she was fixated on the battle as it happened..
That is, until the Professor pulled her away.
Amy blinked a little bit at the sudden question. What did she think? Being the daughter of a well-known day care couple, it was obvious what she was thinking: "That was AMAZING! I can't believe how huge those pokemon are, and how strong they were! I can't wait until I get my own pokemon, I love pokemon...having grown up around them for most of my life. I just hope I get one soon. I want it to grow up and be as big and strong as these pokemon!

Rick could barely stay in his seat. Here he was watching the quarter finals... LIVE, his parents could hardly believe he had a ticket!
But here he was, cheering and roaring with the crowd as the Garchomp and Haxorus clashed. Eyes growing big when the Aggron took to the field, seeing a pokemon like this was like living a dream.
It was in the middle of shoveling popcorn into his mouth when the the professor drew his attention from the fight with her question. He chokes his food down before trying to speak, having failed to attempt such a feat in the past.
"Oh man that was amazing! Those two dragons hitting each other and that big armored thing.. Aggron was it? Tossing that Garchomp like that was so cool! Those pokemon are really powerful professor. How did they get so strong?"

Rei squirms in her seat as the two huge Pokemon battle it out. The sheer shock of the earthquake sending her arms over her head to shield herself. Each hit making Rei wince and turn away, averting her eyes from the sheer magnitude of the hits.
She suddenly looks at the others, finally realizing the Professor had included me in the question. Turning bright red and hiding behind her bag she sheepishly gives her opinion.
"Well... I kind of think that the amount of muscular power needed to land these hits is immense... The time needed to gain both the muscular composition and the loyalty of the Pokemon shows that the trainers care about their Pokemon a lot. The trainer is willing to train each Pokemon tirelessly in order to show the world just how much they really do love their Pokemon... I think that is what really counts..."

Professor Pine returns her gaze back to the battle with her comforting smile again. "Yeah, you're all right. They got that strong because they were raised with love and trained with determination. The Aagron does look like he's really happy. He's not a fighting machine, he's Xavior's partner, and he's almost proud of the result of his training.
"It's Blastoise!" The booming voice of the MC brings your attention back to the battle. Sylvia has swapped out her defeated Garchomp for her Blastoise to fight Aagron. "There it is! Hydro pump!!" The Blastoise charges it's two huge cannons and unleashed a massive water jet strait onto Aagron. The Aagron just seems to dig his feet in and cross his arms, taking the full force of the hydro pump. As the water stops, there are two clear trails on the ground where the Aagrons feet were pushed back about 5 feet.
As the hydro pump finishes, the Aagron let's out another roar as he charges full tilt at Blastoise, spinning just a foot away from him, and slashing down the center of Blastoise's shell with it's tail. "What a vicious Iron Tail!!"

Amy returns her eyes to the battle as well. Seeing Pokemon this grand doesn't happen very often, even back home at the day-care center. "I wonder what'll happen next?! Maybe they'll let some people in the stands go down and battle...that'd be co--" Amy stops short as she realizes she doesn't have a pokemon on her and sighs, slumping down into her seat.
Oh well, always a hitch somewhere.

Continues watching the battle, examining the muscular movements and the strength of the bonds between Pokemon and their trainers. "The precision and power of the attacks are so precise... It's almost as if yoga and tai chi were used to train both flexibility and stamina... The power is also proof of how strong the Pokemon's bond is with its trainer... Such power is almost scary." Shrinks back into her seat, feeling as though she said to much.

"That Aggron took that attack and is still standing? Man he is durable!."
He nudges Auel with his elbow, nodding to the respective trainers in the battle.
"Can you Imagine what it would be like Auel? To be in the arena with a partner as strong as theirs? Proving your strength with your pokemon?"
He smiles as he turns back to watch the battle.

"Well, back at the day-care center, we used to get the occasional Aggron that either wouldn't get along too well with a certain trainer's Pokemon...or that wasn't a good choice for some reason or another. However, those weren't exactly common." She says, speaking up some when there's a break in the rampant, ardent cheering of the crowd. "All I know is...their body is extremely tough, like steel. I know this because I was in charge of them whenever one happened to come along, They can withstand almost anything, and I stress the term almost.." She says, as she stares at the Aggron, almost wistfully, as it does it's work on the field.

Auel just nodded at Rick's nudge. His eyes were glowing with longing, and again his envy gave him a pang. Why had he not a Pokemon, it couldn't be that hard, right? Maybe he should just save money for a PokeBall and catch a Bug Type in it's early stages and go from there?
On the outside he replied:"Heh, I'll be the first you'll have to beat to get into the arena. You better belive that I would give almost anything to train a Pokemon like that.*sigh*"
And so Auel again watched the battle carry on.

As the battle continues to rage on, the crowd refuses to tone down and can match the cry of the Pokemon and the MC in volume. The sound of the roaring crowd is finally drowned out though, by the sound of a loud screech, then a massive explosion echoing inside the stadium, causing loose dirt to fall from the ceiling onto the crowd below.
As even the Professor stands up in alarm, the crowds quickly begin to exit the arena. The assistant looks up alarmed at the Professor from her seat. "Professor Pine... That was an Electrode." Professor Pine just looks shocked as she stares down at the field. From the ground of the stadium, a large man, wearing a blue and gold gi stepped onto the field, confronting both Sylvia and Xavior.
As the majority of the crowd has already evacuated, Professor Pine grabs hold of her bag and starts rushing towards the exit where the rest went, barking "You five, come with me." She runs right past the stairs heading out with you four and the assistant in tow.
Just as you four pass the stairs, four young men dressed in what appears to be a black and grey uniform, step onto the balcony looking over the stadium. "You runts lost? Everyone else evacuated al- ...wait. You! You're the professor!" At that, all four of the men grab pokeballs off their belts and summon a Rattata, Koffing, Ekans, and a Poochyena in front of them. "Don't let her get away!"
The professor quickly passes her bag into Amy's hands. The top of the bag is wide open, and four red pokeballs are sitting right on top. "Here. Use these and keep yourselves safe. Sarah, you stay with them too!" With that, Professor Pine raises herself over the railing, and dropped down the 10 feet to the stadium below.

Auel followed the Professor after the explosion quitely. But then they were stopped by dark dressed men that seemed to recognize the Professor, and in turn released a group of random pokemon from their Pokeballs.
He twitched at the notion that he may use a Pokemon against the Rattata, this was his chance at a Pokemon trainer life. He reached into the bag and grabbed one, first he went for one of the other balls but then his hand reached for the deepest one. He pulls it free from the bag and tosses it like he had seen in the TV shows and just now in the Quarter Finals:"GO...mysterious Pokemon...whatever you are...Please don't be a Caterpie."
The Pokemon released was...
...A Chikorita, a grass type pokemon, and by far a lot better than a caterpie. Auel let out a little sigh and then straightened up. This was his first Pokemon Battle. Even if he lost, he would buy the Professor time to sort the situation out, or so he hoped. She did look very determined when she jumped down to the arena. Now Auel looked at the small Pokemon before him, and the Rattata and other creatures that were against him, and he was struck by a sense of duty.
"Let's do this Chikorita. Mind if I call you Lehteva? Sounds good to you? Great, then let's do this."

Amy blinks and nearly fumbles with the bag when it was shoved into her possession. "B-but, professor...what do I do with t--" Before Amy could finish, the professor took a flying leap, almost literally, over the side of the balcony.
"...Or you could leave that up to me to decide.." She says, with a sigh.
Amy reaches into the bag, and the first ball her hand brushes she grabs it out of the bag. Gently pushing the button, the Pokemon inside is released. She looks down to see what has come out, but, the ground is vacant beside her. " Awe, I can't believe the professor left an em-pffffbthbthbth.". Before she could finish, a fluffy tail hung down in front of her, to which some of it's hair got into her mouth. Looking up, she's greeted with the round, brown eyes of a small Pokemon, big enough to sit on her head.
"Well, it's not huge, but...beggars can be choosers in the situation I'm in..Well, there you are...you tricky little cutie!" She says, grabbing the Eevee by her sides and lifting her off of her head. "I think I'll call you Cele. Wanna help me fight off some Pokemon sweetie?" She says, wiggling the Eevee some in her hands until she gets a laugh and a soft "Vee!"
Amy turns the Eevee around and she jumps out of her hands and onto the floor. "Alright then, let's do this!" She says, taking a few steps backward.

"Well you look pretty cool and I bet you're really strong right? I wish I had a little more time to know you before this but lets work together ok?" The totodile gives a nod an agreement as Rick steps back. "We'll work on a name later, how about Wake for now?"

Rei reaches into the bag and grabs the last ball, a faint reddish glow seeming to radiate from within. She releases the Pokemon by gently pushing the button on the front, but is not expecting the immense heat to spill out as an excited Chimchar bursts out of the pokeball. "I sure hope we can beat these guys... are you wiling to help Chimchar? ... Thank you so much! From that dramatic entrance I think Boom would be an appropriate name."

Amy blinks. She has no idea what to do, and her Eevee picks up on this. Cele turns to the Totodile, who got hit pretty badly by that Rattata, and she bounds over. As she comes close, a small white burst exits her body and enters the Totodile's, empowering it...if only temporarily.
