I'd like something that scales well into epic (reasonably as in focus on monster defenses and ignore epic magic) without too much gear dependency. It should probably have full base attack bonus as well. Works well from 1-20 and doesn't fizzle out at epic levels. Preferably strength based as well. Should have a decent chance to hit for a fair amount of damage (so power attacking for full shouldn't be the basis here).

I think that should be enough for the request but if more specifics are needed I'll try to address them.

There are countless ways to do this, but the biggest concern is this: do you want it to scale into Epic in terms of damage, or in terms of competitive versatility? The first is easy, the second is extremely difficult.

Further, if you want someone to attempt this, a big more information of the type of class you'd like might be helpful. Generic weaponmaster? Swashbuckling adventurer? What sort of thing are you aiming for here?

It's not complete yet, but the Wyrm Warrior (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=6533.0) should fit your requirements nicely, given that there are epic Ideals.

Go with a war blade, look for homebrew epic ToB fixes. That's the simplest solution.

Epic is broken in general so balanced for epic is an oxymoron.

Damage, with a good chance to hit, abilities to allow the class to survive things that epic monsters might produce, theme can be whatever would make this work.
