Class Features
All of the following are class features of the monk.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency
Monks are proficient with all simple weapons, as well as the kama, nunchaku, sai, shuriken, and siangham. At 1st level, a Monk may choose two of the following weapons to also gain proficiency with: longsword, bastard sword, greatsword, handaxe, dire flail, or two-bladed sword.

Monks are not proficient with any kind of armor or shields.

Unarmed Strike (Ex)
A monk gains the Improved Unarmed Strike feat as a bonus feat at 1st level. In addition, the monk's unarmed strikes are considered masterwork (they grant a +1 bonus to hit).

Whenever the monk is unarmored and unencumbered, she may make one extra attack in any round in which she makes a full attack. If she does, all attacks made by the monk in that round take a -2 penalty to hit. This extra attack must be made with an unarmed strike, but the full attack can be with any weapon with which the monk is proficient.

As the monk grows in level, her unarmed strike deals more damage, based on her size:

{table=head]Level|Small|Medium|Large
1st-3rd|1d4|1d6|1d8
4th-6th|1d6|1d8|1d10
7th-9th|1d8|1d10|2d6
10th-12th|1d10|2d6|2d8
13th-15th|2d6|2d8|2d10
17-19th|2d8|2d10|3d6
20th|2d10|3d6|3d8
AC Bonus (Ex)
Whenever the monk is unarmored and unencumbered, she adds her Wisdom bonus (if any) to her AC. In addition, a monk gains a +1 bonus to AC at 2nd level. This bonus increases by 1 for every four monk levels thereafter (+2 at 6th, +3 at 10th, +4 at 14th, and +5 at 18th level).

These bonuses to AC apply even against touch attacks or when the monk is flat-footed. She loses these bonuses when she is immobilized or helpless, when she wears any armor, when she carries a shield, or when she carries a medium or heavy load.

Fleet of Foot (Ex)
Whenever the monk is unarmored and unencumbered, she gains a 10' bonus to all forms of movement. At 6th level, this bonus increases to 20'; at 11th, to 30'; at 16th, to 40'; and at 20th, to 50'.

Ki Points
Beginning at 2nd level, a monk has a number of Ki Points equal to her Monk level plus her Wisdom bonus (if any). These Ki Points are used to power many of the monk's powerful abilities. The monk begins each day with her full amount of Ki Points; if she can meditate successfully for 15 minutes without being disturbed or interrupted, she regains a number of Ki Points equal to 1 + her Wisdom bonus (if any), to a maximum of her normally allowed total of Ki Points. The meditation must take place in a peaceful environment that is free from distractions.

Impeccable Balance (Ex)
At 2nd level, a monk may spend a Ki Point as a swift action to gain a +3 perfection bonus to all Balance checks for 1 minute. In addition, she gains the use of three different abilities based on the number of ranks she has invested in her Balance skill.

If the monk has 5 or more ranks in Balance, she can balance on vertical surfaces; the normal modifier for a sloped or angled surface no longer applies to her, though other DC modifiers (such as for a slippery surface) do apply. If the monk balances on a vertical surface, she can move up or down as if she were climbing. However, she is not actually climbing, so she can make attacks normally, retain her Dexterity bonus to Armor Class, and generally follow the rules of the Balance skill rather than the Climb skill. Each round that the monk spends balancing on a vertical surface, the DC to remain balancing increases by 1.

If the monk has 9 or more ranks in Balance, she can balance on liquids, semisolid surfaces such as mud or snow, or similar surfaces that normally couldn’t support her weight. Each round that the monk spends balancing on these surfaces, the DC to remain balancing increases by 2.

If the monk has 13 or more ranks in Balance, she can balance on the air, effectively giving her the ability to fly. She need not make balance checks to stay aloft. She is able to fly at the same speed as her base land speed (30' for most races) with Good maneuverability. Using this ability is a swift action, costs 1 Ki Point and lasts for 1 minute.

Deflect Arrows (Ex)
At 3rd level, the monk gains the Deflect Arrows feat as a bonus feat, even if she does not meet the requirements for it.

In addition, she may expend a Ki Point to deflect an additional ranged weapon in a turn. Spending a Ki Point in this manner is a free action.

Mind over Body (Ex)
At 4th level, the monk gains the ability to foil enemies' magic and special abilities by letting her subconcious guide and empower her body, reflexes and mind. By spending a Ki Point, she may make an Autohypnosis check in place of a saving throw. Because this is a skill check instead of a saving throw, she does not automatically fail on a natural roll of 1.

Sight without Eyes (Ex)
At 5th level, a monk may spend a Ki Point as a swift action to gain a +3 perfection bonus to all Listen checks for 1 minute. In addition, she gains the use of three different abilities based on the number of ranks she has invested in her Listen skill.

If the monk has 8 or more ranks invested in Listen, she gains Blindsense out to 60 feet.

If the monk has 12 or more ranks invested in Listen, she gains Blindsight out to 30 feet. Using this ability is a standard action, costs 1 Ki Point and lasts 1 minute.

If the monk has 16 or more ranks invested in Listen, she does not suffer a miss chance when attacking invisible enemies or fighting while blind.

Claws of the Wind (Ex)
At 5th level, the monk may spend up to three Ki Points to give her attacks extended range. For each Ki Point spent, the monk gains a +5' bonus to reach with all weapons she wields for 1 minute (if she spends 3 Ki Points, all attacks she makes have +15' reach on top of any other forms of reach she has for 1 minute).

Ki Surge (Ex)
At 6th level, the monk is able to expend her Ki Points in a surge of vitality, removing harmful conditions and spells from herself. Using this ability is a swift action that is completed mentally (and thus can be used while paralyzed or petrified). The monk may also activate this ability instead of attempting a Will save to break free of spells that dominate or otherwise control her (such as charm person). For each Ki Point the monk expends, she is able to remove one of the following conditions from herself:

2d6 points of ability damage, 1d6 points of ability drain, blinded, confused, cowering, dazed, dazzled, deafened, 1d4 negative levels, entangled, exhausted, fascinated, fatigued, frightened, nauseated, panicked, paralyzed, petrified, shaken, sickened, stunned, or turned.

Instead, the monk may attempt to dispel (as dispel magic, using her monk level instead of caster level) one ongoing spell on herself, or grant herself one additional save against an effect not listed above (such as poison, disease, or a charm effect). She can't spend multiple points in one round to gain multiple dispel attempts against the same spell or magical effect, nor can she spend multiple points in one round to make multiple saves against the same effect.

Enchanted Body
At 6th level, the monk may enchant her body as if it were a weapon. It is considered a one-handed bludgeoning weapon for the purposes of enchantment. Unlike other weapons, however, the monk need not find a crafter with the appropriate feats or spells to enchant herself. She still must pay the appropriate amount of gold for materials, but she can enchant her own body through careful meditation. Instead of the usual 8 hours per day, the monk need only meditate for 1 hour per day. She can purchase double the normal required materials and choose not to spend XP, or she can purchase the normal amount (1/2 the base price) and spend XP as normal for crafting an item. The monk does not need the appropriate feat to enchant herself, nor does she need to be able to cast the appropriate spells. The prices and XP costs can't be lowered with feats.

Greater Unarmed Strike (Ex)
At 7th level, whenever the monk uses her unarmed strike ability to gain an extra attack, she longer suffers a penalty to other attacks made in that round. In addition, the monk may make this extra attack whenever she uses a standard action to make a single attack.

Cat's Grace (Ex)
At 8th level, a monk may spend a Ki Point as a swift action to gain a +3 perfection bonus to all Tumble checks for 1 minute. In addition, she gains the use of three different abilities based on the number of ranks she has invested in her Tumble skill.

If the monk has 11 or more ranks invested in Tumble, she may tumble her full speed when using the skill to move past or through enemies without provoking attacks of opportunity.

If the monk has 14 or more ranks invested in Tumble, she may treat all falls as if she had fallen half the distance (rounded up to the nearest 10 feet), and may make a tumble check (DC 15) to reduce the effective distance by 10 more feet. For every 5 points she surpasses the DC, the distance is reduced by another 10 feet.

If the monk has 17 or more ranks invested in Tumble, she may spend a Ki Point to move her full speed as part of a 5-foot step instead of 5 feet.

Diamond Body (Ex)
At 9th level, the monk gains spell resistance equal to 11 + her monk level. The monk may lower (and raise again) her spell resistance at will as a free action.

Capricious Zephyr (Ex)
At 10th level, the monk gains the ability to move and attack at the same time. By spending a Ki Point, the monk can move twice her speed and make a full attack against one creature somewhere along her movement as a full round action. For the purposes of this movement, she does not provoke attacks of opportunity for moving into or out of threatened areas.

One with Shadows (Ex)
At 11th level, a monk may spend a Ki Point as a swift action to gain a +3 perfection bonus to all Hide checks for 1 minute. In addition, she gains the use of three different abilities based on the number of ranks she has invested in her Hide skill.

If the monk has 14 or more ranks invested in Hide, she gains the ability Hide in Plain Sight. She can successfully hide as long as she is within 10 feet of a shadow. She cannot, however, hide in her own shadow.

If the monk has 17 or more ranks invested in Hide, she gains concealment (20% miss chance).

If the monk has 20 or more ranks invested in Hide, she may spend a Ki Point while successfully hiding to become invisible for 1 minute as if by a greater invisibility spell. Using this ability is a swift action.

Hands of the Deity (Ex)
At 12th level, if the monk takes a total defense action, there is no limit on the number of times she can use Deflect Arrows in that round. In addition, for that round she may deflect rays and other ranged attacks (such as massive objects) as if they were arrows.

Mountain-Splitting Strike (Ex)
At 13th level, the Monk's unarmed strikes are powerful enough to break through stone, earth and metal. Whenever the Monk successfully deals damage to a creature using an unarmed strike, all subsequent unarmed strikes against that creature in that round add her Wisdom modifier to damage. This bonus to damage compounds each time she hits (in other words, if she hits a creature 4 times, the first hit does not receive Wisdom mod to damage; the second hit receives Wisdom mod to damage; the third hit receives 2x Wisdom mod to damage; and finally, the fourth hit receives 3x Wisdom mod to damage. After the round is over, this bonus resets). Whenever the Monk misses a creature with an unarmed strike, all subsequent unarmed strikes against that creature in that round gain a +4 bonus to hit.

Masterful Unarmed Strike (Ex)
At 14th level, whenever the monk uses her unarmed strike ability to gain an extra attack, she gains two extra attacks instead of one.

Silent Step (Ex)
At 14th level, a monk may spend a Ki Point as a swift action to gain a +3 perfection bonus to all Move Silently checks for 1 minute. In addition, she gains the use of three different abilities based on the number of ranks she has invested in her Move Silently skill.

If the monk has 17 or more ranks invested in Move Silently, normal movement while hiding does not impose a penalty. Running, charging or attacking impose a -10 penalty instead of -20.

If the monk has 20 or more ranks invested in Move Silently, she may spend a Ki Point to teleport up to 100 feet per Monk level. Using this ability is a standard action and provokes attacks of opportunity, though being hit does not cause the action to fail.

If the monk has 23 or more ranks invested in Move Silently, she may spend a Ki Point to teleport up to 10 feet per Monk level. Using this ability is a swift action and does not provoke attacks of opportunity.

Ruthless Cyclone (Ex)
Beginning at 15th level, whenever the monk uses her Capricious Zephyr ability, she may choose to make two attacks against all creatures she threatens along the path of her movement instead of a full attack against one creature. She can't make use of her unarmed strike, greater unarmed strike or masterful unarmed strike abilities to gain additional attacks while using this ability.

Unquenchable Flame of Life (Ex)
At 16th level, the monk's life force cannot be snuffed out, and it instantly repels the vile powers of undead and their kin. She becomes immune to all death spells, magical death effects, energy drain, ability damage and drain, and any negative energy effects.

Solipsism (Su)
At 17th level, a monk may spend a Ki Point as a swift action to gain a +3 perfection bonus to all Autohypnosis checks for 1 minute. In addition, she gains the use of three different abilities based on the number of ranks she has invested in her Autohypnosis skill.

If the monk has 17 or more ranks invested in Autohypnosis, she can temporarily see reality as if it were a projection of her own mind, and that all other things have no individual existence. She must meditate for 10 minutes prior to this ability, then sacrifice 5 Ki Points that cannot be regained until the next day; after the meditation, she enters a trance and delves deep into her mind and can work out or discover intricacies of the world by thinking. While in this trance, the monk cannot move at all and is considered helpless; she cannot take any actions. She may ask herself one question per monk level that can be answered with a simple yes/no (or "not sure"); this functions similarly to a commune spell, only the being she is questioning is not biased towards anyone's goals or agenda. To receive an answer, the monk must make a DC 35 Autohypnosis check. For each answer obtained, the DC increases by 2. If she fails to reach an answer three times in a row, the trance ends.

If the monk has 20 or more ranks invested in Autohypnosis, she can convince herself that a single creature of her choice does not, in fact, exist. By spending a Ki Point as a standard action, the monk meditates upon the mind of a creature. Afterwards, the monk acts as if the creature is not real: she cannot be influenced by it and she cannot influence it in any way. They cannot come into contact with each other, instead sliding through each other as if the monk and the creature were illusionary. After 1 round, the creature must make a Will save (DC = 20 + the monk's Wisdom modifier) or be banished to an extraplanar pocket-realm of reflection and meditation for 1 minute. Creatures that return from this realm become immune to this ability forever. This ability is a mind-affecting effect.

If the monk has 23 or more ranks invested in Autohypnosis, she can convince a creature that only it exists within a realm of its own imagining. She must spend 10 Ki Points to use this ability, and must succeed on a melee touch attack against the creature. Using this ability is a standard action. This ability does not inflict damage, and only works against creatures with 100 or fewer hit points. If the monk successfully hits with a melee touch attack, that creature’s senses are pinched off from the real world. The subject’s senses are all completely fabricated from within its own mind, though it may not realize this. In reality, the subject sprawls limply, drooling and mewling, and eventually dies of thirst and starvation without care. The subject lives within its own made-up world until the time of its actual death. Each day after the first, the victim may attempt a Will save (DC = 23 + monk's Wisdom modifier) to awaken. This ability is a mind-affecting effect.

Mirror Body (Ex)
At 18th level, whenever a ranged touch attack spell directed at the monk fails to pierce her spell resistance, she may choose to expend a Ki Point as an immediate action to redirect the spell at its caster using her attack bonus. The monk can't use this ability if she isn't aware of the spell's caster or the attack.

Crippling Strike (Ex)
At 19th level, the monk may spend five or more Ki Points to make a powerful strike against a creature's weakest spot, causing pain to course along the victim's body. This strike is a standard action; resolve it as a melee touch attack. If the monk hits, the victim suffers the following ill effects:

{table=head]HD|Effect
Equal to Monk level|Dazed
Up to Monk level -1|Slowed, dazed
Up to Monk level -5|Paralyzed, slowed, dazed
Up to Monk level -10|Killed, paralyzed, slowed, dazed
Dazed
The victim is dazed for 1 round.

Slowed
The victim is slowed, as the spell, for 5 rounds.

Paralyzed
The victim is paralyzed for 1 minute.

Killed
The victim is instantly slain.

For every 2 Ki Points spent beyond 5, the monk gains a +1 bonus to her effective monk level for this ability, up to a maximum of +5.

Perfect Self (Ex)
At 20th level, the monk becomes the absolute ideal creature, fashioned in a way that even lowly beasts see her as perfection. The monk becomes an outsider, but can be affected by spells as if she were her previous type if she chooses. In addition, the monk is protected as if by a mind blank spell continuously, with one exception: whenever a creature attempts to scry on the monk, she becomes aware of the attempt, along with the alignment and general identity of the caster (general identity meaning "a human I have never met" or "that wizard we hired in Sigil" or even "an old friend"). She can then consciously choose to allow the scrying attempt to work.
