I've been in an artistic mood lately, so I figured it was time for another thread. I'll be posting new stuff, as well as some of my backlog.

Some sort of introduction

I picked up OotS style pretty quickly, starting with Flash 8 and moving on to Inkscape some time in 2010. Below is my first Flash avatar (Saber from Fate/stay night; technically too big for use) and my first Inkscape avatar (someone's character in a PbP game).
http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd54/Prime32_temp/OotS/oots_saber.gifhttp://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd54/Prime32_temp/OotS/lucy.png

This was also around the time I started making an attempt at "proper" drawings (I... think? I've got some vector stuff from 2008). For comparison: on the left is a non-OotS version of the PbP character from back then, drawn in Paint.NET. On the right is a pic of the same character I drew yesterday in FireAlpaca, which took maybe half the amount of time.

Part of it is the new program (it's pretty awesome (http://firealpaca.com/)), but still I was a little blown away when I went back and compared.

Basic premise of a PbP I'm in: The God-King Singorn's current enemies have found a way to hide from his divinations, and the last time he left the capital to investigate something in person it was a disaster. Summoning the spirits of powerful beings of the past, he sends them to seek out their spiritual descendants, grant them gestalt levels new abilities, and compel them to travel to his side.

The arrivals were divided into three teams: the first composed mostly of natives of the world's China/Japan-equivalent country (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Wutai), sent to prevent the mysterious "Brotherhood of Night" from gaining a foothold there; the second composed of strange monsters, sent to fight the other strange monsters attacking the southern borders; the third... I don't know, the third group hasn't started yet.

And now meet some of Team A:

Chihiro Arai (N/NG Human Kensei of the Five Rings (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=219086)//War-Frenzy [Duty] (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=5550)): Badass Normal (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BadassNormal) of the group; humble.

It is nice to see art of Prime32 again!

Always it seems games of Prime32 are very interesting of characters and story. Which is Prime32's character?

Always it seems games of Prime32 are very interesting of characters and story. Which is Prime32's character? That would be Fumiko. (which I hope makes any amount of sense as the name of a noble)

I had a picture drawn, but I'm not quite as happy with it.

So a while back, some friends of mine were thinking up personifications of D&D's planes of existence, in the finest otaku tradition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moe_anthropomorphism). :smalltongue:

Celestia-tan: Knightly ojou. Nice, but haughty. Obsessed with being clean and shiny.
Bytopia-tan: Bokukko twins, one a hardworking farmer, the other a windblown hunter. Squabble a lot, but will team up on anyone who tries to get between them and both hate lazy people.
Elysium-tan: Friendly and amorous miko with a crush on seemingly everything. Keeps lots of pets.
Beastlands-tan: Catgirl with crescent moon markings. Always awake. Coffee obsession.
Arborea-tan: Fairy/elf who plays a musical instrument and gets jealous easily.
Ysgard-tan: Rowdy valkyrie type. Drinks. Does stupidly dangerous things routinely.
Limbo-tan: Genki girl, coated in rainbow paint splatters. Annoys Mechanus-tan.
Pandemonium-tan: Messy, crazy, loud. Secretly wants friends.
Abyss-tan: Aggressive yangire, instant otaku, big eater.
Carceri-tan: Policewoman. Doesn't get how it's supposed to work.
Hades-tan: Emotionless girl, creates massive works of potential evil.
Gehenna-tan: Dojikko pyromaniac who steals all of Hades-tan's things and breaks them. Short temper, big sleeper.
Baator-tan: Ojou chessmaster. Tsundere.
Acheron-tan: Responsible math-loving dandere who associates with a "bad crowd."
Mechanus-tan: Calm, unruffled meganekko with stacks of books and intricate plans. Frequently oblivious.
Arcadia-tan: Bossy, perfectionist kuudere know-it-all.
Outlands-tan: Older bishoujo, keeps the peace, has a broom, covert pervert.

I was enlisted to draw a few, but most didn't turn out that great. I think these designs work pretty well though:

Hey Prime!

Your more 'realistic' pieces have defenitely improved, I'd say (and your OOTS stuff is as good as ever. :P)

A pic drawn for a PbP some friends of mine are in. Guess the setting.
http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd54/Prime32_temp/OotS/Fate_golden/OotSLaoiseschool300x300_zpsf0d09e33.png

Okay it's Fate/stay night. The system is Fate Core (http://www.evilhat.com/home/fate-core/) (you know, the one that had the big Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/evilhat/fate-core)). The GM decided to take only two players, as a Master-Servant team, since running multiple competing groups in the same town is hard.

http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd54/Prime32_temp/OotS/Fate_golden/OotSLaoiseandNezha_zpse1debfd0.png

The one on the left is Lancer, aka Nezha (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nezha_%28deity%29); on the right is his Master, Laoise. Laoise's family specialise in plant-based magic, so they figured that summoning a Servant with a body made of plant matter would be smart. Except that the family's crest-bearer was poisoned, meaning they had to transfer the Command Spells to his inexperienced little sister.

http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd54/Prime32_temp/OotS/Fate_golden/OotSNezhacasual300x300_zps760e8f4b.png
Also, Lancer is a trap. This is mythologically accurate.

They are very cute.
I remember one time to play such a game. It was played Archer's master, to use origami magic. Unfortunately it was too difficult for the GM.

Hi there! I really like your work, and I'm trying to get into D&D on this forum a lot. Do you think we could work something out for my first big character of the site? He's pretty basic, just a light resliant guard type, no helmet. Blonde hair, Green eyes, North Eastern, a little russo/native-american? Just some ideas to give you some direction if you decide to go forward with this.

If not, no worries I'll keep looking. I do really like your work though, it looks to have improved from what I last saw! (lurking and such) So best of luck with your stuff man!

Corgan, The Traveling Guard
Born to a poor family under the name of Blackmore, Corgan was raised in a secluded and poor community in a small city, in the north east of Stonehold Province, on the edge of the Hraak forest. At a very young age of 6, Corgan was apprenticed off to a guardsman. His father was unable to support him and his wife, and she unable to do the same. Corgan was apprenticed to a kindly young man, at the age of 17. His name was Iryll, a budding follower of Fharlanghn. A student of philosophy and who sat as a squire for an accomplished night in Stonehold, one who kept the boy active and learned during his stay as a noble heir. Iryll was given Corgan as a servant and helped to raise and mold him into a good man, as was the instruction of his belief in Fharlanghn. Corgan was at first quite reluctant to the teachings of this boy, not much older than himself, giving him orders when his mother still sat somewhere, sold. Yet, this was all he could do. His life was now devoted to this boy, Iryll. Yet, this small city was a budding metropolis; one that would help to shape and teach Corgan of both its ways, and the ways of life.
Iryll began Corgan’s training with simple tasks, fetching water, picking grasses and herbs, and doing what he felt was right, regardless of whether or not he was right or wrong. Independence, choice, and personal ability governed Corgans’ growth into the man he was one day to be, but his ability was no easy happenstance. Trained from the ages 6 to 21, seven years before his time in Stonehold was over, he was taught how to use the philosophy of Fharlanghn to better his life and the lives of those around him. Corgan was a strong and independent man, taught to work on his own terms and work according to the greater good of all. His path was laid out by Iryll, a now aged and happy guard captain, and an upstart traveler by the name of Corgan to which this focuses on.
Corgan, a trained and eccentric individual, often worked in the shadow of his accomplishments, crippling self-doubt and guilt impeding his life considerably. Sat at twenty one years of age, and 15 long years of training and learned stimulation. His sense of isolation stayed with him till the age of 27, where his great journey finally began. Used to being a small force in the great scheme of Stonehold, Corgan lived in accordance to what he was raised to know, his teachings. A set of philosophies and learned outlooks gave him the guidance that would eventually leave him as a giving observer. Corgan acted as one who acts when he must, and does so in accordance to his beliefs. What place to suit such a man better than the post of a loyal guardsman? This is where Corgans growth really began, shaping him into the person he grew to be up until this point. Corgan Blackmore was a man, with a title, and a life.
What he had learned through his years gave him great skill in many of the every day, and extraordinary walks of life. Acting with efficiency and tact, Corgan is a minor, but expansive force within the ever-changing field of battle. Moving with incredible speeds, he protects his allies with pleasure and ease, distracting opponents. Using his weapons of the trade, he chips away and consistently damages opponents. He sees himself as the target, and responds with deft skill in these situations he engineers. A tactical and technically aggressive protector, Corgan advises his allies and friends in ways he feels he must, and serves the greater good of those he interacts with. His mark on the world ends when the great path stops, but until then he continues to follow his own path and mark the world in his way. Until his path ends, Corgan works as a travelling Guardsman, helping those he can, and surviving in his way.

The party's currently trying to found a kingdom, so I was told to go fancy.
