READ THIS:

When you make a poster at BigHugeLabs (linked below), the site does not store the image. WHAT THAT MEANS is that if you link to the poster directly from BigHugeLabs, no one else will be able to see it. The procedure for a poster using BigHugeLabs is as such;
1. Make the poster
2. Download the poster on to your computer
3. Upload the poster from your computer on to an image storage site like PhotoBucket (http://s273.photobucket.com/) or Imageshack (http://imageshack.us/)
4. Post the uploaded poster from the image storage site
5. Enjoy

I first saw it being used as a image to go with a episode. I don't know about the actual artist, and all that
But that is where I found it and if you check the episodes posts it probably mentions it
I'm fairly certain its based off another image

Thank you. And yes, it is based on a piece called "One Nation Under God" by Jon McNaughton. At least, that's the first image that jumped in my mind.

Because of the viking helmet that is kind of off screen?

It's not explicit or even obvious (it takes careful observation to figure it out), so I think it should be fine.

There's not any full nudity or sex, but it's still a little iffy thanks to the source (A certain section of a certain imageboard that starts with a D) that I requested it on. I'll get rid of it/link to it if it's not kosher with y'all.

That sounds like that should be a challenge. Or a series thereof.

"New and insane weapon proficiencies."
Personally, I think that should be AWESOME weapon proficiency, as that's more immediate than it being oversized.

Also, It's worth (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/equipment---final/weapons/weapon-descriptions/pistol-sword-cane)noting (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/equipment---final/weapons/weapon-descriptions/pistol-dagger)these (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/equipment---final/weapons/weapon-descriptions/musket-axe) things (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/equipment---final/weapons/weapon-descriptions/musket-warhammer)from pathfinder, but they're about as realistic (and therefore weak) as you would expect. If you need to spend a feat to get it...

To be fair, there were any number of similar weapons in existence on our world. I particularly like the Apache, a brass knuckle/dagger/revolver combination used by gangs in Paris in the 19th century. And of course the umbrella-gun.

Every time I watch that trailer, I smirk at how the gun's recoil goes from "completely negated by digging the blade in ice/hard-packed snow" and "enough power to rip the blade straight through a wolf-demon's neck and push Red high into the air".

Weiss is better. She's also weaker, but her weapon isn't utter nonsense.

Blake's weapon is utter nonsense. It's a gunblade on a string.

Oversized weapons don't require abrogation of the laws of physics, they are simply too large to be practical weapons.

Comically Oversized Weapons (usually from anime, or RPG's), require bitch slapping the laws of physics to operate.

Cloud from FF7 has an oversized weapon, its large. Larger than is practical, but not crazysauce.

This is comically large.

Anyway. The trailers did a good job of giving backstory and plot without holding it up a foot away from your face. Of course the hints they give don't give a complete view of the premise, that's reserved either for Yellow or for episode 1.

...What Wuthering Heights have you been playing?

Anyway, it's less the fact that it's a gun and a sword in the same weapon, and more the fact that it switches between being a sword and being a pistol with a bayonet, and in pistol form she swings it from the end of the ribbon when not shooting (which is most of the time).

It is.

And yes, when you see the size of the things you fight in Monster Hunter, the reason why you need a bow capable of using spears as arrows becomes pretty obvious. We're talking about a game where a giant armor-plated bear is barely considered strong enough to be worthy of being a tutorial, after all :smalltongue:.

What is "Find your way home" a reference to?

RE: Dragons on wind instruments: Good, but I prefer the idea of pipe-organ pipes re-arranged like a pan-flute, played by a Colossal fire-breathing dragon, at night, on top of a barren mountain-top... of course the pipes have to be enchanted to be immune to fire."Night on Bald Mountain" anyone?

It is referencing Homeworld, the picture being the Guidestone that proved to the Kushan that Kharak was not their home.

I don't like that last one. For Rock 'n' Roll itself to be doing damage, you would need it to be that each string results in a different round being fired (FMJ, hollow point, etc).

Make that the main weapon for a mecha, and you have the single most anime weapon ever.

Yes we're all disappointed that noisemarines don't just kill people with guitars anymore but it wasn't considered edgy enough for the modern audiences so it was transformed into a guitar gun.

For my next poster, while the person pictured is controversial and I have plenty of things to say about her (Most of them either expletives or falling under Godwin's Law), the image is not so much commenting on here as it is the inherent problem of combining alignment with real-world ethics:

True, also in Neverwinter Nights videogame.

I played in a PW and I had two characters. One was a barbarian/fighter made to be very strong in combat, the other was a bard I made to be weak in combat. Both were at level 13 at the relevant point. Where the barbarian lost a fight to a level 3 PC (yeah, he was equipped way above level, but still should have beat it with ease), there was a NPC orc mob at one area that was a little tought to beat for the barbarian, the bard beat them barehanded, because I forgot to equip weapons and shield. Also, the barbarian had superior equipment over the bard's, though not by much.

Although that is shockingly effective for an MS Paint illustration, the first thing I thought of was Ryoga Hibiki's Breaking Point Technique (http://youtu.be/bwYC_5uYqEk). Completely ineffective against anything but mountains, boulders and trees, but it makes a heck of an impression:

If I'm not mistaken, Lawful Good and Chaotic Neutral are the same actor, character and scene, and Neutral Evil looks like maybe the same actor.

You would be mistaken.

LG is Swan, played by Micheal Beck, who followed The Warriors with a bomb of a movie called Xanadu which killed his career and he got relegated to b-movies ever since.

CN is Ajax, played by James Remar, who went on to do 48 Hours, Aliens, The Phantom, and had bit parts in several other movies including Blade: Trinity, and currently plays Walter Morgan on Dexter.

NE is an unnamed member of the Baseball Furies gang, and was played by a stuntman.

EDIT- LG and NE's pictures are from the same scene though, CN's picture is shortly afterward

I'm pretty sure that fire's not gonna kill a demon. And that is why nobody draws Monstergirls based on the works of Heironymous Bosch. Because it is impossible to kill with fire.

I really hope nobody's offended by the thing, and I hope I censored it adequately enough for you folks' standards.

I requested the picture on a 4chan Drawthread myself, and I requested it for the same reason I requested the only piece of Rule 63 Monstergirl art for "The Deadly Spawn". That reason being that I like me my bizarre, surreal monsters, I like me my women, and I like taking any concept I find and sending it spiraling straight down into crazytown.

That reminds me of a time I was playing Fall from Heaven (Civ4 mod).

I was playing as the Orcs (the generic orcs from FFH1, not the more fleshed-out Clan of Embers from FFH2). I initially decided to play really orcy (attack and pillage everyone on sight), but ended up saving inadvertantly the Elves from extinction and becoming semi-elfified.

(To be specific: I captured the last surviving elf settlments just before they were destroyed by barbarians (including a highly-leveled Orthus). One of the cities had the "Fellowship of Leaves" religion in it, which I adopted, thereby allowing me to recruit elven units and - I think - changing my alignment from Evil to Neutral).

A mixed elf/orc culture would I think make a very interesting setting. (And I wonder what a half elf-half orc would be like).

Arbane

A mixed elf/orc culture would I think make a very interesting setting.

I've actually heard of that in one D&D campaign. The drow weren't EEEEVIL, they were desert-dwellers (dark skin because of pseudo-Lamarckian adaptation) who'd been exiled from the forest-dwelling elves after a massive political dispute. (The drow were the faction _against_ exterminating humanity. They won the dispute, but lost the war). The orcs (Tuareg-like nomads) had rescued them, and they were paying the orcs back by teaching them advanced military tactics, metalworking, and magic.

....And priming the orcs to go all Genghis Khan on the elven forests, because payback's a bitch that way.

(And I wonder what a half elf-half orc would be like).

In most fantasy settings, they're called "humans". :smallwink:

Actually, Orcs and Elves are parallel races to each other, and extremely similar - largely due to Orcs being a corrupted mockery of Elves in Tolkien's mythos.

What are thin-bloods?

In Vampire the Masquerade Thin bloods could refer to either vampires with less potent blood than normal, or Vampires that were of the 14th or 15th generation. or to Dhampires who are the offspring of 15 generation vampires and ordinary humans

as a vampire's generation rises, it's power decreases. 14th generation vampires have difficulty embracing mortals, and 15th generations can not embrace period. Dhampires can't pass on vampirism period. at fourteen generations the blood is too week to even convert an other to undeath.

thin bloods are about as powerful as exceptional mortals. as generation lowers, power increases exponentially. a 15th can beat a 14th, but not a 13th. as a statement of how powerful a vampire can get, Caine, the first vampire, is generation 1. the rules for fighting him are "You lose".

*Groan*

There have been numerous attempts to justify Power Girl's costume (and the fact that it's needed multiple attempts at justification should clue you in to the fact that it's real purpose is fanservice. Nothing but fanservice.

I dislike the tendency of comic books to draw *every* women (and I mean *every single women* - even Amanda Waller is now a nubile young woman, for heaven's sake) in increasingly skimpy clothes and come-hither poses. It would help if most comic book artists didn't draw every woman to look virtually indistinguishable except for hair colour and costume design, but... uh, I'm getting away from my point. Where was I?

Oh yeah. Two of your Demotivators refer to someone's attempts to draw superheroine costumes that might actually be practical for fighting crime in. I would like for female characters in comic books to be more than eye candy, so I approve of this project (and I think a lot of the redesigned costumes are very snazzy).

I think the way Power Girl has been handled by comic book writers over the years has been damn sexist. Even so, the character has a lot of female fans. Someone redesigned the costume to make it less fanservicey, as an intellectual exercise more than anything.

Hmm... I was pretty angry when I started writing this post, but now I just feel sad. Your "Power Girl: She has admitted the costume is to distract and be enticing this defeats the purpose" hit one of my berserk buttons. But I wasn't really angry at you, I was angry at the state of Marvel and DC comics, which as far as I can see just seem to be going down the toilet, endlessly copying and reproducing their old successes, splurging out the same sexist garbage year after year in the mistaken belief that "sex sells" (to which I would reply that the modern Western world is so saturated with sex that sex on its own isn't going to sell anything).

Uh, I have no idea where I was going with this...

EDIT:

Still, at least this gives me the opportunity to pay my tax:

Har har. Also, I liked the Vampira costume from that same "Practical Outfits On Female Superheroes" compilation, mainly because of how it makes her feel more like a classic-style horror host, ala Zacherle or Uncle Gregory.

I don't know, but this seems related (http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Essay:Geek_elitism#.22Fake_Fangirls.22).

So the Vknight, brings more posters enjoy there goodness

Also lets not just do bad Gming,
Lets do some comic book oriented things
And bonus points for combing the two

Because if comic books were campaigns at several points I think we can agree they had Amazing Gming/Character/NPC moments, and also some of the worst.

I understand it, but the armor just doesn't make sense. Wearing a copper breastplate isn't going to help much against monsters which can punch you through a building. I guess it might grant a marginal benefit, but it's about as much as if Superman decided to wear a kevlar vest.

EDIT: Or is it bronze?

There have been numerous attempts to justify Power Girl's costume (and the fact that it's needed multiple attempts at justification should clue you in to the fact that it's real purpose is fanservice. Nothing but fanservice.

Powergirl part I disagree. It can make sense, a character using appearance as a distraction. Even if its for a second, that is all one needs

I agree with everything else. Notice how I was only talking about Powergirl and the next one is me agreeing with the artists awesome redesign of Wonder Woman(Was debating between her and Black Canary)
I love making more practical costumes they make sense. The females shouldn't be running around skimpy outfits.
Most characters it just doesn't make sense. Why doesn't Wonder Woman wear pants or more armor. Others it makes more sense[must of the time not a lot but some amount]. And others it does make sense

Seriously I hate the Hawkeye initiative.

Yes, but neither are the actual powersets of these characters in many cases. Comic books don't care very much about physical plausibility.

Yeah, that's why I'm thinking about. A superhero(in) could wear whatever (s)he wants.

Edged weapons or projectiles applied with sufficient force, though, are able to pierce her skin.
Get a guy with decent physical strength and he can cut her. She is tolerant to blunt for trauma and not edged trauma. So a punch may not worry her but that sword will

Yeah, that's why I'm thinking about. A superhero(in) could wear whatever (s)he wants.

But you'd be in something your comfortable with and/or provides you with protections especially against things that are a threat to your person

It's Olympian Bronze, which is about ten times heavier than steel and several hundred times stronger. :smalltongue:

Seriously I hate the Hawkeye initiative.

That;'s the one that makes fun of the ridiculous poses comic-book women gets shown in by putting Hawkeye in them, right?

I find it hilarious via sheer cringeworthiness.

(My complaint with that version of WW's costume is the pants. Greeks thought pants were for barbarians, and they don't match the color scheme, anyway.)

Ahhh I remember back 3 months ago

You can't make a character using 250points! and there only power is Hyper-Brawling and being a Peak Performer!

Yes I can(Stats that probably won't make sense to people who don't play ORE games.
Body(3d+2wd) + Brawling(3d) + Hyper-Brawling(1d[+5 Attack Levels[x5], +5 Booster Mass[x5], +2 Deadly, +2 Engulf, +4 Go First[x4], +1 No Physics, +5 Penetration[x5], +4 Radius[x2], +4 Spray[1wd], Traumatic +1)

All for only 100points:smallbiggrin:
A punch that throw you back 30yards. Has enough concussive force everyone in 20 yards is also hit by it. And the punch hurts like a Tank Shell.
With 7d + 3wd that means 6%[4width], 31%[5width], 10%[6width], 1.7%[7width]

Greeks thought pants were for barbarians, and women. (And they tended look down on the former for that reason: "Ha Ha! Look at those Persians! They wear womens' clothes!")

And the myths of the Amazons are likely to have been inspired by the Scythians and Sarmatians, both of whom had warrior women (and trousers, for both sexes).

They would probably have looked something like this:
http://plt25.deviantart.com/art/Scythian-Princess-70660685
http://josav.deviantart.com/art/pazyryk-54687924
(Not my work).

(Heroditus thought the Sarmatians were descended from Amazons that married Scythians, and that warrior women were unique to that line of descent, but apparently archeology has shown that about 15% of female burials were warriors for both Scythians and Sarmatians).

Oddly enough, except for the medals, that is a perfectly plausible warlock/fighter to me. Drop the shield as well, and you are looking at a UMD rogue or one of my Grace-Gifts (I realize neither of those are gishes).

The abjurant champion(which is who that is) specializes in magical protection spells. The entire schtick of that PrC is the efficient use of spells in place of armor and shields.
