This turned out more complicated than I first anticipated.

Sarry was a rather demented sorcerer. Aside from that fact that he carried a spellbook that did him no good, putting his shoes on the wrong feet, and the constant odor around him, he claimed to have a pet rock familiar. In fact it became his life goal to allow everyone in the world to have constant stony companionship. He was later found crushed by the loving adoration of his pebbles.

You wake up and it feels like there’s a pile of stones on your chest. You look and there is. And the rocks are moving.

A pebble swarm is made up of hundreds of tiny stones, all of which have the rudimentary mentality of a puppy.
It weighs 8 pounds for every hit point it has.

Combat

A pebble swarm doesn’t attack, except by means of friendly bond.

From the Dust Every day that a pebble swarm travels on the ground at least 100ft it adds 1hp as it creates more members to the swarm. Even if reduced to below 0 hp it will recover. A pebble swarm doesn’t move unless following the target of its friendly bond. (If a pebble swarm reaches 7 hp it can no longer fly or swim)

Friendly Bond A pebble swarm may designate one creature it has a line of effect to to be part of its friendly bond. The subject of friendly bond is not affected by the pebble swarms distraction or swarm damage. A pebble swarm will however try to occupy the targets space to the best of its ability. When it does manage to do this its weight counts towards encumbrance, and the target gets +1 AC for every 5 hp the pebble swarm has. The pebble swarm also knows the location of the target at all times. In addition any creature that attacks with a natural weapon takes 1d6 swarm damage.
If the target manages to avoid the pebble swarm occupying its space for ten days or has remove curse cast on it the friendly bond is dispelled.

Crushing Love When a pebble swarm reaches a creatures heavy load carrying capacity the creature must make a Fort save (DC 10 + 1 per 5 pounds over the heavy load) every time it enters the swarm and every hour after that. If the creature fails it immediately starts to suffocate.
