Recently I've been looking at things one can do with a Spiritual Weapon, the answer is not much. To kind of expand the options I thought it might be fun to have a prestige class centered around the spell. Here is what came out of that concept. IT;s still kind of raw so any feedback is appreciated.

Note: the Deity used is part of my personal campaign setting. They are included below for reference.

Blade Speaker of Malcove

Within the high church, there are those that respect the martial teachings of Malcove above all others. Unlike the Shields, these priests are uncorrupted by the teachings of other gods. Instead, they focus on the divine nature of the blade and study the history’s of the living God’s mortal battles.
Only the most devoted of Malcove’s followers ever become true blade speakers. These divine warriors channel a fraction of the blade of Malcove to defend them and to purge evil. Their blades are a beacon of light, offering insight into the nature of their foes and guiding their way.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Blade speakers are proficient with all simple weapons, light armor, medium armor, and shields (except tower shields).

Spells per Day: At the indicated levels, a blade speaker gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in a divine spellcasting class he belonged to before adding the prestige class. He does not, however, gain other benefits of that class other than spells per day, spells known, and an increased effective level of spellcasting. If he had more than one divine spellcasting class before becoming a blade speaker, he must decide to which class he adds the new level for the purpose of determining spells per day.
Channel Energy (Su): The vindicator's class level stacks with levels in any other class that grants the channel energy ability.
Blade Summoner (Sp): The blade summoner may convert any 2nd Level Spell slot or above into Spiritual Weapon.
Bright Blade (Sp): When casting Spiritual Weapon the blade speaker may choose to have the spell act as if it were the target of a Light Spell.
Divine Swordsman (Ex): The blade speaker’s dedication to Malcove and their spiritual bond with his blade grant them the strength of their faith. Add the character’s Wisdom Modifier as if it were Strength to any damage rolls made using a Spiritual Weapon.
Blade of Law (Sp): When casting Spiritual Weapon the blade speaker may expend a spell slot one level higher. Doing so causes the summoned blade acts as if it were Lawful for the purposes of overcoming Damage Reduction. This may be used in conjunction with Keen Blade and Holy Blade, each ability increasing the Spell Level by 1.
Blinding Blade (Sp): A blade speaker prematurely end their Spiritual Weapon turning it into a bolt osf blinding light. This acts as the Blinding Ray Spell. The blade speaker may use this ability a number of times per day equal to half their blade speaker level.
Illuminating Blade(Sp): When casting Spiritual Weapon the blade speaker may choose to have the spell act as if it were the target of a Discovery Torch Spell.
Keen Blade (Sp): When casting Spiritual Weapon the blade speaker may expend a spell slot one level higher. Doing so causes the summoned blade to be treated as Keen increasing the threat range. This may be used in conjunction with Blade of Law and Holy Blade, each ability increasing the Spell Level by 1.
Holy Blade (Sp): When casting Spiritual Weapon the blade speaker may expend a spell slot one level higher. Doing so causes the summoned blade acts as if it were Good for the purposes of overcoming Damage Reduction. This may be used in conjunction with Blade of Law and Keen Blade, each ability increasing the Spell Level by 1.
Smiting Blade (Ex): The blade speaker may channel positive energy through their Spiritual Weapon as if using the Channel Smite Feat. Doing so requires the expenditure of 1 additional Chanel.
Blade Sacrifice (Sp): A blade speaker prematurely end their Spiritual Weapon turning it into a column of holy flame. This acts as the Flame Strike Spell. The blade speaker may use this ability 2/Day.

Malcove

Titles: The One True King, The Speaker of Edo, The God-King
Alignment: Lawful Good
Portfolio: Fairness, Learning, Nobility, Perseverance, Rulership, Triumph
Worshipers: Commoners, Nobility, Courtesans, Knights, Paladins, Crusaders
Cleric Alignments: LG, LN, NG
Holy Symbol: Seven pointed star
Domains: Community, Glory, Good, Law, Nobility, War
Favored Weapon: Bastard Sword.
Lore:
Once a moral, seventh born son of a merchant family Malcove brought the word of Edo and the gifts of engineering to a Savage Arcadia. Worshiped even before his mortal death for his great deeds Malcove was a kind and just ruler. It was he that tamed the hordes and first brought peace to the land.
The High Church points to the Eastern Star and it’s birth after the first sealing of Abbadon as proof the God-King was taken by Edo as his divine herald. Those pure of heart and seeking to bring order often see Malcove as their patron. In addition to the morning prayers, the High Church celebrates the eve before the Battle of Crescent Gate and Sandcliff Gambit.
Relationships:
As herald of Edo he shares a position of forced respect as with Hanlys. Like Hanlys Malcove has made no claim of rulership over his fellow deities. Despite his title, the One True King claims no seat amongst the Soli. This however has not prevented a great amount of ire; both Frer and Lyshan see Malcove as a usurper of power. However, neither has gone so far as to conspire with the Dark Brother Nog.
Appearance:
Tall and broad shouldered, Malcove still dons a simple breastplate and traditional warriors garb. With deep blue eyes and shoulder length hair, his presence resonates with an aura of command.
Worship:
In addition to the high holidays worship of Malcove is conducted on the seventh day of each week.
