As someone who loves the bardaldin concept, I wished there was a prestige class for it, then qwertyu63 pointed out that I could just make it myself. So I did. (With some help from him. I'm still very new at homebrewing.)

Class Features
All of the following are Class Features of the Holy Lyrist prestige class.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency
Holy Lyrists gain no new weapon or armor proficiencies.

Spellcasting
At every level except first and seventh a Holy Lyrist gains new spells per day and spells known as if they had also gained a level in an arcane spellcasting class they belonged to before taking Holy Lyrist. They do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained, except for an increased effective level of spellcasting. If a character had more than one spellcasting class before becoming an Holy Lyrist, they must decide to which class they add the new level for purposes of determining spells per day.

Bardic Music (Su)
A holy lyrist adds their class level to their bard level, if any, to determine what bardic music abilities they can use and how often they can use them. A holy lyrist with no bard levels gains bardic music abilities as a bard of their class level.

Lay on Hands (Su)
This ability is identical to the paladin class feature of the same name (PH 44). Levels of holy lyrist stack with other class levels that grant lay on hands to determine the abilities total healing capacity.

Smite Evil (Su)
You can smite evil once per day. See the paladin class feature. At 5th level, you can smite evil one additional time per day and another additional time at 10th level. Levels of other classes that grant the smite evil class feature stack for the purpose of determining the extra damage dealt.

Bardic Knowledge (Ex)
A holy lyrist can attempt to recall some relevant piece of information about local notable people, legendary items, or noteworthy places. See the bard class feature in the Player’s Handbook. She adds her holy lyrist class level to her bardic knowledge checks, so her bardic knowledge checks have a bonus equal to her bard level + her Holy lyrist level + her Int modifier.

Musical Smiting (Su)
Starting at 2nd level a holy lyrist can trade bardic music uses for smite evil and vice versa. It takes 2 bardic music to get one smite evil and 1 smite evil to get 2 bardic music uses. Using this ability takes a standard action.

Special Mount (Su)
Starting at 3rd level, a holy lyrist can summon a special mount. This ability is identical to the paladin class feature of the same name. Levels of holy lyrist stack with other class levels that grant a special mount to determine what abilities the mount has.

Healing Song (Su)
At 4th level a holy lyrist can, with 12 or more ranks in perform, as an additional bardic music effect, can create an effect equivalent to a mass cure serious wounds, using the lyrists class level as the caster level. In addition, for each person you affect with this effect, you must spend one point of your lay on hands pool.

Hopebringing Song (Su)
A 6th-level holy lyrist with 14 or more ranks in Perform can, as an additional bardic music effect, inspire hope in her allies. Good-aligned creatures within 30 feet of the lyrist who are her allies gain a +2 morale bonus on saving throws, attack rolls, ability checks, skill checks, and weapon damage rolls, as if affected by the good hope spell. In addition, affected creatures gain a new saving throw against any fear effect. An affected creature may use the lyrist’s Perform check result in place of her saving throw if, after rolling the saving throw, the Perform check result proves to be better.
Hopebring song is a sonic, mind-affecting ability.

Faithful Strike (Su)
At 7th level, a holy lyrist’s weapons are considered good for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction.

Holy Arcanist (Su)
Starting at 7th level, a holy lyrist can preserve a spell slot by expending smite evil uses. As part of casting a spell, you may expend a number of smite evil uses equal to the level of the spell being cast.

Mercy Song (Su)
A 8th level, a holy lyrist with 16 or more ranks in Perform can, as an additional bardic music effect, can remove the follow conditions affecting a ally; Fatigued, Shaken, Sickened, and Dazed. For every three levels a bard attains beyond 8th, he can target one additional ally with a single use of this ability. Levels in bard and paladin stack with holy lyrist for determing how many people the lyrist can target with mercy song.

Holy Symphony (Su)
A 9th-level holy lyrist with 17 or more ranks in Perform can, as an additional bardic music effect, create an effect that duplicates the holy word spell. Nongood creatures within 30 feet of the lyrist are affected as though by the spell. In addition, you must expend a smite evil every time you use this bardic music affect. The lyrist’s caster level is equal to her class level. Holy symphony is a sonic effect.

Ultimate Inspiration (Su)
At 10th level, a holy lyrist can, by expending 2 smite evil uses and 2 bardic music uses, raise the dead as a standard action. The person being raised cannot have been dead for more than one minute. They return with one hit point but no loss of level or spells.

Multiclassing note
Holy lyrists can freely multiclass between paladin and holy lyrist.

Special note:
If something requires bard or paladin levels, holy lyrist levels stack for that purpose.
