So, I'm reading through the thread for the Pathfinder Advanced Classes Guide Playtest thread and I have to agree with the following quote:

A great deal of the class features and such really do feel like just identical copies of existing classes. I suppose the idea of having some mixed-class classes isn't bad, but isn't that what archetypes were designed to do for a great part? With all the crazy, elaborate and interesting homebrew classes I've seen its hard to be excited for many of these.

So, I want to pose the following question to my fellow homebrewers: If you were to replace the existing Pathfinder classes with 3.5 or PF homebrewed ones from this subforum's community, which would you select?

Now, we need some clarifications for this exercises:

The suggested classes must full-on replace the niche/concept/archetype that the class originally fulfilled (i.e., you can't just grab a fighter or monk fix to "replace" the existing fighter or monk).
The suggested classes must be completely self-contained. If it runs off a completely new subsystem, it must be completely explained and the class completely usable just by itself.
Any existing subsystems are fine, but bonus points are given if Tome of Battle isn't just used to fill up all the mundane slots or magic/psionics isn't used to make mundanes viable.
Try to shoot for Tier 3 for all classes if possible. It's alright to dip up to Tier 2 or down to Tier 4, but try not to wander further.

Bard/Fighter/Monk/Rogue - use any of my homebrew classes (see my sig).
Barbarian/Paladin - I have links in my sig to other people's stuff that hit the nail dead on the head.

At current, I'm working on a Witch remake, but it's not finished yet, so I can't offer much there.

Haven't handled the other full casters yet, so I can't offer much there either.

im not 100% sure about replacing.. but

Ive alwasy wondered why games are quick to make a melee/caster hybrid (just take a quick look and see how many those are i count 7 off the top of my head)

but notbody has really went into detail with a skirmisher/caster hybrid.

I ventured there with my Ninja (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=277587)

rejigger the skills and pow its set up for pathfinder.

another thing that alwasy bothered me is wy do the melee/arcane get up to 6th level.. but the melee/divine get 4th? (well the new Warpriest gets 6th so thats good) Ive never really felt that low level divine spells were that much more powerful than arcane, quite the opposite in my mind.

It's mostly a thought exercise thing. It's easy to throw together a fix of an existing concept, but I'm personally curious what outlandish combinations we can come up with from this thread.

Probably because giving things spells is the easiest way to improve it.

I'll definitely take a look, along with what Nonsi has put up.

I can't really say.
