I don't know the amount of work Jamie and Rob have in this strips, Jamie in particular - he does the great artwork, which must be demanding. But, as the plot is going thicker and the characters and story are developing more and more, I see that the Erfworld fanbase is growing fast.

Well... May I be so bold to suggest Erfworld on Saturdays too? I know both guys have their own websites to run and all, but... Oh my. It's kinda hard to wait until Tuesday to see another comic. I, for instance, can't wait for the next Erfworld installment, but it's 5 days away! Augh! :smallwink:

And this can be part of The Giant's project to deliver daily content on the site. If we have this, we would just need to fill the Sunday gap.

Just a suggestion. Again, if it's too much work, then leave it the way it is.

If you could pay our combined annual salaries, we both could quit our jobs and work on Erfworld full time. You'd get comics at least three times a week if not more.

However, since both of use work full time and do Erfworld in the minutes that we can scrounge up together in the periods between, the best we can do is twice a week.

In our perfect world, we'd do comics all day every day. Ah well.

So it's not as easy as picking up an "Extra Comic" feat.....ah well.
Anyway, it's still very, very good to have Erfworld update twice a week.(And I love hamstard too!) You've done a fantastic job guys, lead us on!

We demand more Erfworld, and less time wasted on things like "eating", "drinking" and "socialising". Dont make us come around and lock you in your computer room until you have 100 strips done, m'kay?

[Just in case it's not clear,]

ORLY? So, all we have to do is buy your yet-to-be-revealed products.

Alright, I'm not complaining. I love Erfworld. It's just that I like it so much that is difficult to wait like 5 days to see another issue. But I think I can manage that. :smallwink:

Be careful with these words. You can be summoned in no time into a world like the one you just described. Or, more like it, PLOT'd.

Anyway, thanks, Jamie!

As soon as there are more erfworld things to buy, I am going to try to help pay your guys' wages. Will that get us one more a week :smallwink:? Pleeease?

To make the wait seem less painful, would it be possible to put it on something like a Tuesday-Friday schedule?

I like T-R as it is personally. Weekends are dry, but it alternates with OotS which is good.

Man, you guys need to publish and Erf-world game. You said it was based off of a homebrew miniatures game you guys were making up, right? Release it. Being on GiantITP, you probably have the publicity for it... if not, make a few more moths worth of comics, and you might.

I'd buy it.

Jami, in a sensible world there would be some sort of deranged italianate prince to fund your artistic endeavors and remove the need for mundane employment . . .

sigh

need more erfworld :smallcool:

I totally agree!

As to merchandising, I think a lot of the ideas that have popped up in this thread and elsewhere on the forum are definitely worth considering. We're reading your suggestions and keeping notes so if there is merch you'd like to see, let us know. I think the cursory plan is to get this first volume out and then see what people are interested in. The book is a solid go and we'll be adding extras out the wazoo. Other merch will depend on what folks are interested in and we won't know that unless you tell us.

So if I start writing a webcomic about a world full of magic, where the one thing some egocentric dictator *really* needs is a webcomic writer & artist...

Yes!

“Please, sir, I want some more.”

I think the phrase you are looking for is...

"Thank you, Mistress. May I please have another?"

Heh, you've quite hooked me on the story so far. Erfworld is rapidly rising to be one of the top comics I frequent, right up there with OotS itself.

I will say this I was like :smallconfused: at first when I started reading. But now I have been sucked into the erfworld. I would love to see this run another day if possible. Or maybe a double for Sat-Sun.

Would love to see more of it, faster, faster I say. (Cracks the whip)

"Hey wait he liked that too much". (Runs and hides)

I heard from Rob that erf world will be around 70 comics, so if they made it 1 day more it'd just be over that much quicker, though I do expect if it gets a huge fanbase they'll extend it. Right now its looking like all the chapters will be done by this summer so we'll need to see :/

Rob's said the first story, Battle for Gobwin Knob, was that length. Erfworld as a whole, I suspect, will contain more than that.

Mmm, the delicious smell of a hopefully completed story arc.

Erfworld seems to be created as a world for which adventures are held in, similar to something like Lord of the Rings or even D&D.

Which makes my brain happy for Fan Stuff I can make.
