If a ranger gave up his Favored Enemy bonus would that be a balanced trade for a full druid Animal companion progression .

I call it bonded hunter

Mmm. It's a bit of an upgrade, but I don't think it's that problematic.

Fixed. :smalltongue:

The ranger chassis, however, is weak enough that it won't be an issue at all.

Agreed. It is a big upgrade, but if you're allowing most classes in the game, it will likely not bring the Ranger class above theirs... (If the rest of the party is Fighters and Monks, then you've got a problem. lol)

The ranger in question is a 4th level ranger/1st level barbarian with the champion of the wild, Whiling frenzy, and pounce ACF. We have as well an Aasimar druid and a Goliath Favored Soul who both bought off the level adjustment they are both 4th level. as well as a Dwarf Monk , a Orc Fighter Barbarian, and a Human sorcerer warlock all level 5.

I think it'll be fine. :)
