W00T! OOTS is up for Outstanding Long Form Comic! I don't know what that means, but I'm happy!

I see a bunch of my other favourites on here: Legostar Galactica, PVP, good ol' Penny Arcade... can't wait for the results.

Seconded. He's unfortunately to the point of 'if I didnt do it, or it isnt in a CAD strip, it's not funny'... but his hold on reality is sketchy, anyway...

He's able to make money doing nothing and have a really popular crappy webcomic. And, as I mentioned before, he basically does nothing. And most of his stuff isn't even remotely original in any sense of the word.

I put CAD and Penny Arcade in the same camp. That of people who would rather curse about games and rehash the general insanity to gain more popularity.

I hope Vg Cats wins, as it was the first webcomic I ever found. Like 5 or 6 years ago. Starslip Crisis deserves an award as well, the vernacular and dialect of the varying characters is astounding and complex. And of course, Vore and Mr. Jinx make the comic amazing.


I'll be damned if Dr. McNinja doesn't win anything.

I recognised all the gaming comics but that was pretty much it. It was good to see PvP get a nomination for best site... even if the PvP site is down today :smallsmile:

I'm personally in favor of splitting the Gaming Category into two sections: About Gaming and In-Game.

The former would be for comics like Penny Arcade, PvP, VGCats, and the latter would be for comics like OotS, Goblins, and Elf Only Inn.

At the moment, in-game, although I'd probably have nominated it for Fantasy.

There are always going to be comics that don't fit into any clearly defined category except for the really broad ones. Yours is lucky enough to be one of them.

And also, why was Erfworld not nominated for best newcomer? Really, it has one of the best early starting plot setting things I've seen on a webcomic! A nice balance of plot and jokes. (That was poorly worded, I know, I must be tired, or something.)

Looks like OotS won't be winning the Fantasy Comic award for the 3rd time in a row, though.

For some reason, I couldn't like PA the first time I read it. I mean, it was funny, but not addictive like 8-Bit Theatre or Order of the Stick.
