We know that Xykon was scrying on Miko, but was he able to find the gate? Miko was taken away from the throne room before they started talking about it. Was Xykon able to continue scrying on the throne room or is he only aware of what is going around by Miko?

I don't think so. His hair and meeting bonus to scrying attempts only works if he's scrying on her. Theoretically, he could just switch to the throneroom, but then he looses the bonus. On the other hand, he's met :roy:, who he now knows is in Azure City, so :xykon: could just scry on :roy:.

He probably stopped scrying on her after she was carried off. After all, he was hoping she would lead him to the gate and she wouldn't be going to the gate at the point. It is possible, however, that he could have seen the throne and realized what it really was. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

After re-reading Serini's diary, he probably knew exactly where it was before he even started towards Azure City.

That's why he has such a huge force - taking the castle's throne room is going to be quite the task with all those pesky pallies around.

I think he knows. Notice that Rich was careful to keep a part of the stretcher and escort party in most of the frames where Hinjo and Roy are talking. I believe he's establishing their proximity to Miko so that the scrying will be successful.

Probably only Miko. Miko didn't know about the gate anyway, or else she wouldn't have attacked Shojo like that. Or maybe she was corrupted by Xykon, and he WANTED her to hit the gem...

He gains nothing from that. He needs the Snarl's prison intact to control it. Destroying everything would only result in the destruction of the world.

I'm thinking 'No' for the sheer fact that Improved Paranoia = Anti-Scrying shields of the highest potency. Nevermind the fact that Soon (the original) would probably set up the same to prevent any scrying into the location of the Snarl's seal.

Besides, I think Xykon would 'change the channel' after Miko's KO.

I agree. If he was watching at that moment, the proximity of the stretcher in panels 3, 6, and 9 make it likely that he would have seen Roy and Hinjo on his wide-screen scrying crystal even if he didn't change his scrying focus. On the other hand, he may have thrown up his hands in disgust after she Fell and got KO'd without revealing the location of the Gate. In which case it is possible that only the MitD or the demon roaches saw Hinjo reveal the location of the Gate.

I think it is deliberately uncertain, to keep us on the edge of our seats.
