I've played the OOTS game about 10 times since buying it (with various numbers of players) and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to "spice up" the game (aside from the options given in the rules book), at least until the rumored expansion comes out. Any takers?

I agree; there needs to be some spice. I, unfortunatley, have no good ideas.

I know- Stab Factor!
With Stab Factor, you can add bonuses to Attack. eg: Belar attacks Elan. Belkar's SF: 4, and he rolls a 5, making his total 9. Elan's defence doesn't stand up to it. Adding lil' tricks as optional rules!

I'm not sure I understand...what do you mean by "stab factor?"

No, Belkar's primary attack (Twin Daggers of Doom) has +1 DEF and +3 ATK. The attack named "Stab Factor" has +4 ATK, therefore it is not the same attack. Yet, I don't get how "Stab Factor" works.

i played the game for the first time this weekend. it was good, but it did not bring out enough OOTS flavor and was a bit too generic. I also was disappointed when after it was over i had like 3x the loot of anyone else but still lost horribly because i used up too many of my powers and almost none of my loot had my face on it. it wasn't OOTS funny enough.

Just sprinkle some oregano or maybe some parsley on the cards.

Spicing up the game play:
Adding permanent effects. Take a "Screw This!" Card, and have the effect apply to everything it can.
I think the "Stab Factor" Was an inherent bonus to attack, such as BAB.
