Elemental Specialty: This must match the element chosen for her Energy Substitution feat (air=electricity, earth=acid, fire=fire, water=cold). All of the Elemental Savant’s spells that deal energy damage now deal this form of damage instead whatever type of energy damage it normally deals.

Mephit Underlings: see Faiths and Pantheons

Power of Arrogance: So strong is the Elemental Savant's belief in the supremacy of her chosen element that her attacks do greater damage against the servants of her enemies. At 2nd level she gets a +2 competence bonus on any and all attack rolls and deals +2d6 damage against creatures with a subtype opposite her chosen element (air—earth, fire—water).

Energy Penetration: The Elemental Savant gains the listed bonus to caster level checks made to overcome spell resistance (+2 at 4th level, +4 at 8th level). These bonuses stack with those granted by the Spell Penetration and Greater Spell Penetration feats.

Energy Focus: The save DC for any spell of the Elemental Savant’s chosen element increases by the amount indicated (+1 at 5th level, +2 at 10th level). These bonuses stack with those granted by the Spell Focus and Greater Spell Focus feats.

Elemental Affinity: The Elemental Savant all spells of her chosen element at +1 caster level. This caster level bonus stacks with any other bonus to caster level (such as those granted by the Bloodline of Fire feat, for example).

Elemental Perfection: At 10th level, the Elemental Savant’s type changes to elemental. As a result, she undergoes a minor physical change reflecting her chosen element. She no longer needs to eat, sleep, or breathe (though she must still rest to regain spells). She gains an elemental’s immunity to stunning, poison, paralysis, sleep magic, critical hits, and sneak attack damage. She has senses that span 360 degrees, and is thus no longer subject to flanking. The Elemental Savant gains the speed and movement modes, natural attacks, special attacks, and special qualities of a medium elemental of the type appropriate to her elemental specialty (see Monster Manual), except that the save DC against her elemental attack form (whirlwind, burn, or vortex) is 20 + her CON modifier. She also gains a +2 circumstance bonus on all Charisma-based skill checks and ability checks when interacting with creatures of her chosen element. She can still be raised form the dead normally.

Basically you get a trio of element-appropriate mephits that fawn about you. They can attack, "fawn" (grant you bonuses to hit and dmg), and die ("with a sickening pop of elemental goo" is how it's worded I think) so you can avoid a damaging attack (and are easily re-summoned afterwards). Definitely a high amusement factor with the mephits.
