I've started building my own world for a D&D 3.5 campaign. The setting is current day, but all of our technology is powered by magic (like cars in Fairy Tale). All of my players are musicians, so I decided to make every quest and location based on a song.

I.E.:
>The party discovers that Melancholy Hill (city) has created a drug that makes crops grow twice as fast and twice as big
>They demand that the farmers trade their children for this drug, as they need subjects for human testing
>Most farmers refuse, but some have given in to the demands, causing the deniers to succumb to poverty, unable to keep up with this new production quota
>"In Bloom" by Nirvana

I'm looking for more songs to use, or maybe just some world-building suggestions. What do you guys think?

While the official video's odd, I'm sure you could do something with a bunch of shapeshifters (Druid or otherwise), possibly well-meaning, and Everything At Once (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2AshX3tfHU).

I played a character once that fits that description. He was a rogue who had accidentally drank a transmutation potion, causing him to randomly shapeshift when he became scared. He turned into anything from a wyrmling dragon to a squirrel. Combat against fear-inducing enemies was different every time.

Fantastic shapeshifter music, ill add that to the ozodrin playlist (http://grooveshark.com/#!/playlist/Z+Ozoi/96888470).

Here's literally everything at once, for an upcoming class called the Akira.

The Final Decision We All Must Take (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sf28xBOwuIM)
More of an aspect of a quest rather than one in and of itself. The big bad boss of the campaign/quest is powerful--powerful enough that the player's are unlikely to be able to defeat it on their own. But, at some point leading up to the final battle, they come across a powerful magic item or artifact, which will increase their power significantly... but getting hurt becomes much more risky. In the end, the final decision they all must take: how many of them take the power-up and make death a constant companion, and how many will decline it to prevent a TPK?

Sin from Genesis[/i]:
A being more ancient than time and more repulsive to reality than evil, the primordial being is a flaw in reality that corrupted the act of creation itself with its existence. The influence of this being spreads, corrupting man and beast into insane mockeries of themselves. Think "Elder Evil" or Lovecraft.

[url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VT6LFOIofRE]Libera Me "From Hell" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndwtZToVcno):
In one of the fiendish planes sits a prison, designed for a single being. It cannot fight, it cannot escape, it cannot evil kill itself. The prison contains this powerful celestial and drains its power to create batteries of holy power than the fiends can use to temporarily make themselves be treated as good when subject to anti-evil spells, or can simply be drawn upon as a source of power. The heroes must save it, or at least free it into the embrace of death.

All Evil of the World (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xe821OoYPUY):
A new breed of strange incorporeal, daemon/yugoloth undead has sprung up all of the world, for no reason anyone can discern. Rather than directly hurting people, they nurture the negative feelings of a person and erode his inhibitions, driving them to perform evil acts. The fiendish undead draws sustenance from the presence of "evil", and in this method they feed upon the actions of mortal beings.

Stand Up Be Strong (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoMrkPLBuCs):
A horde of monsters descends upon a city, but their culture has become lax and decadent and they are in no way capable of standing up to their invaders by themselves. The adventurers must do what they can to shape and control the battlefield before combat begins, and to slow down the army so that the people in the city can be trained to defend themselves (possibly being taught by the PCs themselves).

Last Battle (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kx_2gKRiFJE):
The last battle of a quest or campaign.

Animal I Have Become (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXDC89tZ4IQ):
The PCs are cursed to possess the bodies of monsters. This quest could work into the morality of a world, the assumptions the civilized have about monster society, or could let them see that alignment amongst monsters isn't universal as they discover good aligned trolls, chaotic duergar, and lawful hags.
