I am a big fan of alternative comics that stand out from the normal stream of online comics. For example, I have read comics like White Ninja a lot because I found it so different. I never really liked comics that doesn't have the ability to create something unique and just repeats a succesful formula. All the gaming comics is a good example of this.

A while ago I discovered a really strange comic called Peephole to Insanity which is an experimental comic where the artist tries to challenge the normal way of making comics and attempts to make his comics a different experience than so many other artists offer. According to himself, to create a deeper level in comics. I've totally fallen in love with this comic. It isn't updated at a certain day (probably because the comics are as complex to make as they seems to be) but there's a newsletter that notifies you of new comics if you join it.
Do anyone of you also read this comic besides me?

You can find it here ...

Do you know other alternative comics at the net besides Peephole to Insanity? I am a hungry comic fan  although I haven't found anything as boldly experimental as Peephole to Insanity have been. But I sure hope they exist. Oh, and if you haven't read Peephole to Insanity before (I actually have no idea of how known it is) then what do you think of it compared to other alternative comics you know? I personally have a few bookmarked although Peephole to Insanity is my favorite right now.

Wow... it feels like what were to happen if Donnie Darko was a comic strip.

Interesting. It seems like pretty much experimental art called a comic, but it works. Not my style, but the artwork is really good, and pretty deep.

Not sure 'bout this one...Seems a bit forced. That it's trying to hard to seperate itself from the pack that it doesn't really focus on being a good webcomic. Plus a lot of those lines make me wince. Like...groan.

Well, when I contacted him he told me that he created this webcomic because of curiosity. Because he wanted to find out what a comic could do. As far as I know, he has created two stories before. One that was based on the philosophy of the author Søren Kierkegaard about a guy trying to commit suicide and another one taking place at a mental hospital where two brothers meet. He promised me to upload them to the website and told me that I would get notified of it if I join the comic notification newsletter. I already had so I'm exited to see these stories. He even told me that Peephole to Insanity started out as a gaming comic :D

But yeah, very special style. It will be interesting to see how it grows. And to see if he makes another story-based comic sometime.

I'm not fully sure what you mean by "other alternative comics," but xkcd (http://www.xkcd.com/archive/) and irregular webcomic irregular webcomic (http://www.irregularwebcomic.net/archive.html) are more-or-less off the beaten track as far as comics go. Insanity is interesting on some levels, but I tend to be more a fan of the quirky-wierd than the dark-wierd.

Yeah, when I went to the site I had thought about xkcd as well. Great comic; speaks to the nerd inside all of us quite profoundly.
