“Bushido is realized in the presence of death. This means choosing death whenever there is a choice between life and death. There is no other reasoning.”

Special Abilities

(1st) Flurry of Blades (Ex)
A Sword Samurai may strike with a flurry of weapon strikes as a special full attack action, similar to a monk’s ability to perform a flurry of blows. Doing so imposes a -2 penalty to all attacks made as part of the full round action, but grants extra attacks at your full base attack bonus. At 1st level, the sword samurai gains a single extra attack at his highest base attack. As the sword samurai advances in levels, so do the number of attacks. At 4th level, the sword samurai gains a second extra attack, in addition to the previous extra attack. At 8th level, the sword samurai gains a third extra attack, in addition to the previous extra attacks.

When using flurry of blades, a sword samurai may attack only with bladed weapons (IE: Slashing or Piercing weapons), such as an axe, falchion or rapier. She may attack with weapons interchangeably as desired. When using weapons as part of a flurry of blades, a sword samurai applies her Strength bonus (not Str bonus x 1-1/2 or x 1/2) to her damage rolls for all successful attacks, whether she wields a weapon in one or both hands.

(1st) Spring Attack (Ex)
The sword samurai gains the spring attack feat as a bonus feat, even if he doesn’t meet the prerequisites.

(2nd) Iaijutsu Master (Ex)
A sword samurai has become adept at iaijutsu, a fighting technique that concentrates on drawing his weapon and striking a foe all in one fluid motion, creating powerful attacks that deal tremendous damage. If the sword samurai attacks on the same round as he drew his weapons, all weapon attacks deal damage as if the weapon were one size larger than normal. If the attack confirms a critical hit, treat the weapon as if it were two sizes larger for the purposes of damage. Furthermore, if the sword samurai successfully hits a target with one of those weapon attacks, he can return his weapon(s) to their sheath(s) as a swift action.

(3rd) Flash Step (Su)
Whenever the samurai charges, withdraws or runs, the samurai’s sudden acceleration causes them to appear to vanish, creating a blurred echo of their movements as they travel the remainder of the distance. This echoed distortion grants the sword samurai concealment (20% miss chance) until the end of their turn.

(3rd) Agile Movements (Ex)
The sword samurai gains a class bonus on all dex-based skill checks, in addition to the jump skill, equal to one half of the sword samurai’s level. Furthermore, the sword samurai may choose to use his dexterity modifier in place of his strength modifier on jump checks.

(4th) Intimidating Glare (Su)
As a standard action, the sword samurai can cast his terrifying gaze upon one target within line of sight. The subject must make a fortitude save (DC = 7 + Samurai’s intimidate ranks + Samurai’s Charisma modifier) or become shakened for 1d4+1 rounds. This is a mind-affecting fear effect.

(5th) Strike the Spirits (Su)
In the hands of a sword samurai, all weapons gain the ghost touch weapon property, whether the weapon is magical or mundane. This weapon property is lost if the weapon leaves the sword samurai’s hands.

(5th) Defense Shoto (Ex)
Whenever the sword samurai dual wields two weapons, the sword samurai gains a shield bonus to his armor class, equal to 1 + the off-hand weapon’s enhancement bonus.

(6th) Stunning Glare (Su)
Functions like Intimidating glare, except the sword samurai may choose to stun the target for 2 rounds, instead of causing the target to become shakened for 1d4+1 rounds. This is a mind-affecting fear effect.

(7th) Dispelling Slash (Sp)
As a standard action, the sword samurai can create a powerful attack that neutralizes magical effects, functioning like a targeted dispel magic effect. The samurai uses his total number of hit dice in place of caster level for the purposes of rolling to dispel a magical effect.

(7th) Keen Edge (Su)
This ability doubles the threat range of all weapons the sword samurai wields. Only piercing or slashing weapons can be keen. This benefit doesn’t stack with any other effect that expands the threat range of a weapon (such as the keen edge spell or the Improved Critical feat).

(8th) Paralyzing Glare (Su)
Functions like Intimidating glare, except the sword samurai may choose to paralyze the target for 1 round, instead of causing the target to become shakened for 1d4+1 rounds. This is a mind-affecting fear effect.

(9th) Blades of Force (Su)
In the hands of a sword samurai, weapons become incredibly powerful and destructive. The sword samurai’s weapons are treated as if they were made of force, gaining the force descriptor, in addition to any other damage types. Furthermore, their weapons ignore all hardness and any damage reduction other than DR X/--- or DR X/Epic.

(9th) Planar Sunder (Sp)
The sword samurai can focus his mind on the very fabric of the universe, imagining what might be beyond. With a focused slash, the sword samurai can cut a portal to another plane or alternate dimension, as a full round action. The 5 ft. x 5 ft. tear appears wherever the samurai chooses, but must be within melee reach of the sword samurai. This ability functions like the plane shift, except it creates a temporary tear which any willing creature may pass through, which lasts for 1d4+1 rounds. Creatures may freely pass through this tear from either side for as long as the tear remains open, but larger creatures will have to squeeze through the roughly medium sized tear, if size permits it to.

(10th) Deadly Glare (Su)
Functions like Intimidating glare, except the sword samurai may choose to kill the target, instead of causing the target to become shakened for 1d4+1 rounds. Unlike Intimidating glare, this is a death effect, in addition to being a mind-affecting fear effect.

Playing around with the idea of a samurai class that doesn't suck led me to this.
I dont really know what to do beyond this, so im waiting for some comments...
