Did anyone else notice that there is a switch on the Arkenhammer? Maybe you flick the switch to toggle it's power of something.

Probably not consequential, but interesting all the same.

It's not a switch, it's a whistle-hole. A toy hammer is hollow, the head having two ends that can be squished. When you hit something with it, the head is squeezed, and the compressed air is escaping through the hollow handle and out the whistle-hole, producing a squeaky sound.

Maurog's right. That hole looks exactly like the air hole one usually finds in a dog's squeaky toy or a baby's rubber squeaking hammer. It looks somewhat like a switch on the cast page, but the closeup in #32's panel 7 shows the venting pretty clearly. Nicely spotted!

So why no whistle noise when pigeons were being summoned (breaking walnuts).

Makes me wish I had a hammer than summoned pigeons...

You must have a Titan's strength to use it as a toy. Mere mortals have to settle for using it as an insanely powerful artifact.
