Something I was discussing with a friend. A barbarian isn't powerful enough compared to the other classes at higher levels. While spellcasters can blow people to shreds with ease, barbarians aren't that lucky. So we decided to add two special abilities.

At level 7 the barbarian gets a special ability: “Bloodlust”

Bloodlust: Whenever the barbarian enters a rage, and successfully hits twice in a row with two attacks (using the fullattack option), he gets a third attack at the base attack bonus of the 2nd hit. These attacks are taken last, and may not be used to cause another free attack.

At level 12 the barbarian gets a special ability: “Fearful Charge”

Fearful Charge: Whenever the barbarian charges and successfully hits an opponent, all enemy units in a radius of squares equal to (3+ Charisma modifier bonus), must make a Will save of DC (10 + ½Barbarian level + Barbarian Strength Modifier) or become frightened for 1d6 rounds. Should the barbarian be in a rage, a penalty of -2 is given to the willsave; the target of the charge gets a -4 penalty. Should the barbarian kill the target upon the charge, a penalty of -7 is given to the willsave. Units immune to fear are unaffected, units who are unable to see the barbarian when he charges, are not effected.

What exactly is an 'enemy unit'? [i.e. One enemy? Multiple enemies?]
