Ok, so I wanted to make a specific character that operated as a kind of corrupted doctor who would take patients in that all other doctors and healers would deem unable to to help or save and this doctor in particular was notorious for these patients either being healed miraculously or dying despite even if they walked in seemingly fine and only had a long term illness. When in the laboratory the doctor would judge if they were worth living if not would drain the remaining life from the patient to save those he thought were worthy of life.

Now the problem I couldn't find a class to fit this character so I decided to make one real quick and now I need to ask what you all think can be done to improve it to balance it out.

Class Name: Reaper

Hit Die: D8

Skills:

Craft
Swim
Climb
Heal
Perform
Profession
Sleight of Hand
Sense Motive
Listen
Spot

Alignment: Any

Lore: There are those that cause death and suffering and there are those who seek to promote growth and life. However, in a rare instance, there are those who are born as an embodiment of both extremes and act as a catalyst between the two to decide what lives and dies. Those that are brought into the world with such abilities use them to save the innocent and punish the wicked where others use this power to merely take lives to promote lives they deem more valuable to their ideals.

Reaper Touch: A Reaper has the uncanny ability to manipulate life itself with a mere touch. Causing decay in a living creatures body through absorption and rejuvenation in the life of another by giving the life in which they took. With a melee touch attack a Reaper may deal 1D4 of damage to one creature and the number of D4s increases by 1 every odd level beyond first. The attack to use this ability on a non-willing target uses the reapers wisdom modifier but the damage is not modified. Any damage dealt by this attack adds to a Reapers Life Pool. A reaper may also use the same ability to heal a creature using the same amount of D4s they would for damage and the resulting number is subtracted from the Reapers Life Pool. A Reaper may not absorb life if their Life Pool is at its maximum number and may not give life if the Life Pool is at 0. If a good aligned character uses this ability they add their constitution modifier to the amount they heal. If an evil aligned character uses this ability they add their constitution modifier to the damage they take when absorbing life. If a neutral character uses this ability they may choose which alignments benefit they receive but cannot change this decision later.

Life Pool: A Reapers Life pool is a measure of how much life they can take and give which they hold close to their soul and channel through their body. Life Pool is measured by a Reapers level x10 and is used in various abilities the Reaper uses.

Manipulate Life: At 2nd level a Reaper learns how to hold living things from the brink of death or plunge them into their fate. If a Reaper uses 1 point from their Life pool they may automatically stabilize a dying creature or halt their health points dropping into the negatives after 0 for one round. A reaper may also use 10 points from their Life Pool to kill a dying creature.

Cause/Ease Suffering: A reaper may use the health they have taken to wreak havoc on a creatures well-being causing fatigue, illness, and even insanity. A reaper may spend 10 points from their life pool to attempt to deal 1d4 of ability damage to a creature using a melee touch attack. This ability can only be used to damage the same ability score on a creature a number of times equal to the tier of this ability which starts at 1 at 4th level and increases by 1 every 4 levels. A reaper may also spend 10 points from their life pool to heal 1d4 of ability damage on one creature. At 4th level and every 4 levels afterward a Reaper may choose a single touch spell to cast using their Reaper level as their caster level and their wisdom modifier to cast the spell. Each spell use is at a cost of 10 points from the Reapers Life Pool per spell cast.

Absorb Pain: at 10th level A Reaper learns how to absorb the pain from those around them into themselves. When a reaper activates this ability any creature that is dealt damage within a 20-foot radius of the Reaper has their damage redirected to the Reaper that activated this power. A Reaper whose health is brought to 0 as a result of this power begins taking any further damage to their Life Pool instead of going into negative Hit Points. After all health and Life Pool are expended a Reaper goes into the negatives normally. If the Reaper reaches 0 hit points after the power ends they are unconscious but stabilized. Any attacks that would hit multiple targets only hit the Reaper once. This power lasts for 1 round and can be used a number of times per day equal to 1 plus the Reapers constitution modifier.

Deaths Reach: At 6th level a reaper may use their Reapers Touch ability as a ranged touch attack from 10-ft away.

Deathless: At 14th level a Reaper gains the ability to spend their Life Pool to negate death effects, poisons, and diseases that effect them. A Reaper may use this ability as a swift action and pay a single Life Pool point per status effect.

Alter Fate: at 20th level the reaper gains the ability to take death into their own hands, A reaper with this ability who would be killed may take a negative level and be instantly taken to another plane of their choosing besides the one they currently are on and wake up there completely rested and at full hit points.

Authors notes:

I had originally written that a Reaper doesn't get to add any modifier to Reaper Touch

I originally made Deathless just an immunity but decided any reason to spend more Life Pool would be nicer
