THE SAIYAN

"We Saiyans get stronger every time we fight!" -Prince Vegeta

The Saiyans are the ultimate warriors. Though, for all intents and purposes, they resemble bulkier humans with tails, they are more than just another variation of man. They are a creature on this Material Plane unlike any other, animals forced in the forms of man to fight and kill and fight again. Forever are they locked in a cycle of their own demise, and from this one could conclude that they would have already died out. It is a testament to their strength and power, that, despite the constant war and destruction they deliberately place themselves in, they continue to thrive.

It is unknown where the Saiyans came from. Once upon a dark, murky time lived a weak, but technologically and magically advanced race, named the Tuffles. They were the strongest civilization on the Material Plane, and none could ever rival their collective might. But then, in short order, they came. A race of berserkers who did not fear death, who would fight to the bitter end and continue fighting afterwards. And with nothing but their fists they struck. However, their war was a fool's errand, and no matter their strength they would be destroyed by the superior military power of the Tuffles.

And yet, all of a sudden, the Saiyans overwhelmed them. What was the cause of this sudden resurgence? Morale increases, perhaps? Or a genius leader and tactician out of the blue? In the end, it was complete chance, that a Saiyan sorcerer cast their magic far into the sky, and unlocked a hidden power within the burning hearts of the Saiyans, and let out their feral strength in a burst of wild energy. Gone were the savage warriors, and in their stead were beasts, creatures out of the nightmares of all the commonfolk. No matter what the Tuffles did, they could not scathe their hide, they could not defend against their sheer, awe-inspiring strength. And so fell the Tuffles, and in their place were the Saiyans.

Of course, these are all legends of a bygone-era, of myths and monsters, and gods and titans. But the Saiyans still exist today, however integrated into human society and indistinguishable from the latter plain race. And every so often, one human baby will be born with a tail, and will hold the heart of a beast inside them.

Personality:
Saiyans are naturally inclined to fight, and have a tendency to be hot-blooded. In most situations, they allow their emotions to dictate their actions, acting rashly rather than thoughtfully. Due to their warrior lifestyle, they have belief in survival of the fittest, usually being uncaring to the plight of others, even close family and friends. Death is mostly an afterthought, and in response to death Saiyans will merely scoff at their weakness.

Physical Description:
Saiyans look mostly like a human, and can easily pass as one, but they have a tendency to have more muscular builds. In addition, saiyans are almost always having black hair and black eyes. Once a saiyans hair grows as a child, it will stay that style for the rest of their lives, usually being spiky and long. In addition, Saiyans also have monkey-like.

Relations:
Saiyans naturally tolerate humans, mostly due to their heritage. They have an overwhelming urge to fight any powerful race, and easily allies with such a being, includng orcs, goliaths, ogres, and of course other Saiyans.

Alignment:
Saiyans don't have any predisposed preference to an alignment, but generally tend towards being more neutral and evil due to their lust for battle.

Religion:
Saiyans have no patron god, but usually pray to gods of war and strength, Additionally, many Saiyans believe in a legend, that once in a millenia a Saiyan will be born who holds power beyond anything imaginable, called the Super Saiyan.

Language:
Saiyans speak common, and have no language of their own.

Names:
Saiyan names are just the same as any human name, as they usually live as a human. However, in full pure Saiyan families, they are usually named after the first thing they see near by, such as vegetables and fruit.

Adventurers:
Saiyan are perpetually adventurers, seeking out their next fight to satisfy their need for battle.

Saiyan Paragon

Saiyans were once legendary, myths given form in animals whose savagery could not be contained within the puny limits of the mortal world. Over millenias of generations their strength and untamed fury was tempered by the dilution of human blood, until the myths of the prodigious strength of the Saiyans were rendered as nothing more than myths, and the image of a saiyan was merely a merely a more hot-blooded human.

And yet, from time to time a Saiyan will tap into their ancestor’s strength, and release the sleeping beast yearning to escape once again, and all of the Material Plane would shake.

Class Features:
All of the following are class features of the Saiyan Paragon.

At level 1, a Saiyan paragon truly becomes stubborn in their refusal to die. They add their Consitution modifier x2 to the hit points needed for them to die. For example, a Saiyan with 16 Constitution now must be brought to -16 hit points in order for them to be killed.

[B]Saiyan Soul (Ex): At level 2, a Saiyan paragon gains a Spirit Pool equal to their Strength modifier. They may spend a point of their pool to add their Strength modifier to their next damage, attack, skill, or stat roll, or to their next save. This pool refills every day.

Oozaru (Ex): At level 3, the Saiyan paragon unlocks the feral beast inside them, gaining the ability to emit a Blutz Ball and unlock their hidden strength. They can emit the Blutz Ball as a swift action, forcing them to transform into an Oozaru. They grow to huge size, applying all relevant modifiers, but without any increases to ability scores. Instead, they gain a +10 size bonus to Strength and Constitution, and a -4 to Dexterity. They also have their intelligence and charisma revert to 1, and in this form cannot do anything requiring concentration, intelligence, or fine manipulation. They are treated as an animal during this form. The effect lasts for 1 minute per character level, and the saiyan cannot change back at will. Each time become a great ape, you regain lost hit points as if you had rested for a night. Additionally, their Spirit Pool refills to full, accommodating their increase to Strength. Any armor or clothes worn by the saiyan breaks and becomes nonfunctional. When the saiyan reverts to her true form, they are exhausted and fall unconscious. They may emit the Blutz Ball necessary to do this once per week, as anything more would place too much stress upon their body.

At 8 HD, they can emit the Blutz Ball once per day

At 12 HD, when in Oozaru form they are now able to take actions requiring intelligence and concentration, and their Intelligence, Charisma, and Dexterity no longer take penalties.

At 15 HD, they may emit the Blutz Ball for free, and no longer are exhausted and unconscious when returning to normal form.

Ability Boost (Ex): At level 3, the Saiyan paragon gains a +2 bonus to Strength.

Shouldn't Saiyans be Native Outsiders rather than Humanoid?

The word "tail" is missing from description. Pulling on a saiyan's tail causes him to be immobilized for 1 round unless he trained to ignore this (should be a saiyan feat). The tail should give a +2 competence bonus to Balance checks as well.

How long does a saiyan stay unconscious after reverting to her true form? Right now, it seems to have no time limit.
