Hello Playground,
I've had this discipline on my computer for 1.5 years and I today I decided to finish it up. With the release of 5e, the interest for 3.x seemes to have declined greatly, but I still hope to get a couple of remarks. As for the discipline itself, it is focused on supporting and healing your allies, something like White Raven, but less damage for yourself and more utility. I hope a few people will still enjoy this discipline. Cheers!

Background: Coming Soon

New Rules: Marks
A lot of the strikes in this discipline grant Marks to your allies. When an ally is marked, they gain +1 to Armor Class and Saves for 3 rounds, after which the Mark dissipates. Other manoeuvres, namely boosts, consume marks to give yourself or other allies effects based on the number of marks present on the target. This means that after a Mark triggering boost is used, all Marks are removed, unless an effect from this discipline dictates otherwise.

The Associated Skill for Soothing Assault is Heal (Wis).

The favored weapons of Soothing Assault are: Quarterstaff, Bastardsword, Spear and Unarmed strike.

Level 1:
Guardian’s Strike (Strike): Strike an enemy, you or ally within 30 feet gains 1 Mark.
Soothing Bloom (Boost): Consume Marks to heal yourself or an ally.
Ferocious Essence (Boost): Consume Marks to give yourself or an ally resistance to fear and a bonus to attack and damage, but at the cost of armorclass.
Mystic Sway (Stance): Increases your armorclass and grants an attack and damage bonus for allies against enemies that strike you.

Level 2:
Shielding Embrace (Counter): Immediately grant an ally resistance to incoming damage and grant them 1 Mark afterwards.
Flowing River (Boost): Transfer Marks from one target to another, the recieving target gaining an additional Mark in the process.
Punishing Torrent (Strike): Consume Marks from yourself and nearby allies to launch an enemy backwards from a distance, inflicting light damage.

Level 3:
Mystic's Strike (Strike): Strike an enemy, you or ally within 30 feet gains 2 Marks. Can be distributed over multiple targets.
Nature’s Favored (Stance): Generate a Mark on yourself at the start of every turn if you do not have any Marks active on yourself.

Level 4:
Love for Nature (Strike): Strike an enemy, deal extra damage and give the enemy a penalty on attack and damage rolls.
Rapid Delta (Boost): Give a small number of allies the chance to attack on your turn.
Uprooted Tree (Strike): Strike an enemy for extra damage and decrease its AC and Damage Reduction.

Level 5:
Mangoose Trance (Boost): Grants an ally the possibility to act on your turn proportional to the amounts of Marks consumed.
Sage's Strike (Strike): Strike an enemy for extra damage, 3 allies (can include yourself) within 30 feet gain 1 Mark.

Level 6:
Dance of Life (Stance): In this stance, when triggering Marks, you always leave 1 Mark on the target after the effect has taken place.
Torrent Delta (Boost): Give a small number of allies the chance to attack multiple times on your turn.
Surge of the Blossom (Boost): Heal a large amount of Hitpoints to allies, consuming Marks in the process.

Level 7:
Nature Cries Out (Strike): Grants every ally within 20 feet a Mark. Enemies within this radius are deafened instead.
Spirit’s Strike (Strike): Strike an enemy for extra damage, distribute 4 Marks over yourself and allies within 30 feet.
United Surge (Boost): Grant allies increased movementspeed and concealment. Allies affected do not provoke AoO's with movement.

Level 8:
Nature’s Revenge (Boost): Consumes Marks to grant an ally vastly increased damage on his next attack.
Web of Streams (Stance): Grant each ally including yourself within 50 ft. a Mark at the beginning of your turn.

Level 9:
Paragons of Nature (Boost): Grant allies invincibility for a short time.

Manoeuvre descriptions

Level 1

Guardian’s Strike
Soothing Assault (Strike)
Action: Standard
Range: Melee
Target: 1 Creature and 1 Ally or yourself
You strike your enemy while also helping your ally in need.
As a part of this manoeuvre, you attack one enemy within reach. This attack deals normal melee damage. In addition, you grant one ally within 30 feet of you or yourself one Mark.

Soothing Bloom
Soothing Assault (Boost)
Action: Swift
Range: 30 feet
Duration: Instantaneous
Target: 1 Ally or yourself
You focus on the Mark that fortifies your allies soul, changing it into a burst of healing for your tired friend.
As a swift action, you can heal yourself or an ally within range. The target is healed for 2d4. Triggered Marks increase this healing by 1 per Initiator level per Mark (Max 10 per Mark, maximum healing 2d4+30) triggered. After this boost is used, all Marks on the target are removed.

Ferocious Essence
Soothing Assault (Boost)
Action: Swift
Range: 30 feet
Duration: 3 rounds
Target: 1 Ally or yourself with at least 1 Mark
Prerequisite: 1 Soothing Assault Manoeuvre
You focus on the Mark that fortifies your allies soul, changing it into a burst of ferocity that would even scare a lion.
As a swift action, you can trigger the Marks present on yourself or an ally within range. The ally then gains a +1 on saves versus fear, +1 on attack and damage rolls and -1 AC per Mark triggered for 3 rounds. After this boost is used, all Marks on the target are removed. Separate initiations of this Boost do not stack with one another and will only overwrite each other and/or reset the duration.

Mystic Sway
Soothing Assault (Stance)
Action: Swift
Range: Personal
Target: Yourself
You ease your mind, letting your soul from on the flows of the wilds and letting your body flow as it was meant to. You seem so gracious that your allies are enraged when enemies interrupt your dance with a crude attack.
While in this stance, you gain +1 AC for every 3 initiator levels you possess (Max +4). In addition, when you are subject to any harmful hostile action (Includes being damaged, ability damage/drain or being subject to a negative status condition), every ally within 15 ft. gains a +1 on attack and damage against the enemy who harmed the initiator. This bonus is also granted if the initiator is within a harmful area of effect. This bonus stacks up to 3 times per target.

Level 2

Shielding Embrace
Soothing Assault (Counter)
Action: Immediate
Range: Melee
Target: 1 Creature and 1 Ally or yourself
When you or your allies are under attack, you can counter the attack by shielding the target.
When you or an ally within 30 ft. is hit by any effect that deals hit point damage, you can activate this manoeuvre. When activated, the damage dealt by the triggering effect is lessened by 1/initiator level to one target only. In addition, after the damage by the effect has been dealt, the target gains one Mark.

Flowing River
Soothing Assault (Boost)
Action: Swift
Range: 50 ft.
Target: 2 allies or 1 ally and yourself
Imagining a river, you will the power you grant one ally to flow to another, strengthening the flow to a river in the process.
As a part of this manoeuvre, can switch all Mark from yourself or one ally within 50 feet to another ally or yourself within range, which is also 50 ft.. The target receiving the Marks gains one more Mark on top of the number transferred.

Punishing Torrent
Soothing Assault (Strike)
Action: Standard
Range: 30 ft.
Target: 1 Creature within range
By tapping into the power that you gave your allies, you launch an enemy backwards with a torrent of water
As a part of this manoeuvre, must consume 1 to 3 Marks, chosen from yourself or allies within 30 feet. Then, you must choose a hostile target within 30 feet. This target is subjected to a bulrush with a modifier of your BAB + the amount of stacks consumed + your Wisdom modifier. If you win, the target is launched back 5 feet + 5 feet for every Mark you have consumed in this manoeuvre. The target also takes 1d4 bludgeoning damage per Mark consumed. If you fail the bulrush, nothing happens but the Marks are still consumed.


Level 3

Mystic Strike
Soothing Assault (Strike)
Action: Standard
Range: Melee
Target: 1 Creature
You strike your enemy while also helping your ally in need.
As a part of this manoeuvre, you attack one enemy within reach. This attack deals normal melee damage +1d6 extra damage. In addition, you grant one ally within 30 feet of you or yourself two Marks. You can also split the Marks in 2 and grant one to two different targets.

Nature’s Favored
Soothing Assault (Stance)
Action: Swift
Range: Personal
Target: Yourself
You bond yourself with the magical leylines around you, improving your defences and readying yourself in case you need a quick boost.
While in this stance, automatically gain 1 Mark each round. The amount of Marks gained from this stance cannot exceed one. Basically, you always have 1 Mark, which you can use to fuel your boosts . Strikes and Counters that increase the amount of Marks you have do so normally and the extra Marks gained have a 3 round duration as normal. When using a Boost which uses up your Marks, this stance will regenerate one Mark at the start of your next turn.

Level 4

Love for Nature
Soothing Assault (Strike)
Action: Standard
Range: Melee
Target: 1 enemy
Prerequisite: 1 Soothing Assault manoeuvre
You deftly hit an enemy, disrupting his soul and cause him to fare less well against allies under your protection.
As a part of this manoeuvre, you attack one enemy within reach. This attack deals normal melee damage +2d6. In addition, the foe must succeed on a Willsave or suffer a penalty on attack and damage rolls equal to half your initiator level against every ally that is affected by your Marks for 3 rounds. This is not a mindaffecting effect.

Rapid Delta
Soothing Assault (Boost)
Action: Move
Range: 30 ft.
Target: Up to 3 allies
Prerequisite: 2 Soothing Assault manoeuvres
You grant your allies a surge of swiftness, allowing them to attack with you.
As a part of this manoeuvre, choose up to 3 allies with affected with at least 1 Mark within 30 ft.. Each ally chosen can make one attack at his highest BAB at a target of his choice. This boost consumes 1 Mark from each ally that chooses to make this attack.

Uprooted Tree
Soothing Assault (Strike)
Action: Standard
Range: Melee
Target: 1 Creature within reach
Prerequisite: 1 Soothing Assault manoeuvre
With an overhead blow, you get an enemy offbalance, reducing the effectiveness of its defences.
As a part of this manoeuvre, you attack one enemy within reach. This attack deals normal melee damage plus +4d6 extra damage. In addition, if the attack hits, the enemy’s AC and damage reduction is reduced by half your initiator level for 3 rounds.

Level 5

Mangoose Trance
Soothing Assault (Boost)
Action: Swift
Range: Melee
Target: 1 Ally with at least one Mark
Prerequisite: 3 Soothing Assault manoeuvres
By triggering your Marks, you temporarily give your ally a huge boost in reaction time and mental capability.
As a swift action, you can trigger the Marks on an ally within 30 feet. This ally can then take actions on your turn proportional to the amount of Marks triggered.

Sage’s Strike

Target: 1 Creature within reach
Prerequisite: 2 Soothing Assault Manouvers
You strike your enemy while also helping nearby allies in need.
As a part of this manoeuvre, you attack one enemy within reach. This attack deals normal melee damage +4d6 extra damage. In addition, you grant three allies within 30 feet of you or yourself one Mark. You can also choose yourself as a potential target for this Mark.


Level 6

Dance of Life
Soothing Assault (Stance)
Action: Swift
Range: Personal
Target: Yourself
Prerequisite: 2 Soothing Assault manoeuvres
You lower yourself into a trance once more, this time to heighten your efficiency in manipulating life force.
While in this stance, when triggering Marks with your manoeuvres, you leave one Mark after the triggering effect, instead of all Marks being removed. This Mark has a duration of 3 rounds, as if it was newly applied.

Torrent Delta
Soothing Assault (Boost)
Action: Move
Range: 30 ft.
Target: Up to 3 allies
Prerequisite: 3 Soothing Assault manoeuvres
You grant your allies a surge of swiftness, allowing them to attack with you in one flurry of strikes.
As a part of this manoeuvre, choose up to 3 allies with affected with at least 2 Marks. Each ally chosen can make two attacks at his highest BAB at one target of his choice. This boost consumes 2 Marks from each ally that chooses to make this attack. If all three allies hit at least one attack, they all regain 1 Mark.

Surge of the Blossom
Soothing Assault (Boost)
Action: Swift
Range: 30 ft.
Target: All allies within 30 ft. with at least 1 Mark
Prerequisite: 3 Soothing Assault manoeuvres
By triggering your Marks, you heal your allies and make them more resistant to damage immediately after you tended to them.
As a swift action, you can trigger the Marks on any allies within 30 feet. This ally heals proportional to the amount of stacks he has.

In addition, target affected by this boost gain damage reduction and resistance to all kinds of energy except force equal to 5 times the number of Marks they had active for 1 round. After this boost is used, all Marks on the target are removed.

Level 7

Nature Cries Out
Soothing Assault (Strike)
Action: Standard
Range: Melee
Area: Every enemy and ally in a 20 foot burst
Prerequisite: 3 Soothing Assault manoeuvres
By siphoning power from the area around you, you sing beautifully for your allies, while your enemies only hear ear wrenching screaming.
As a part of this manoeuvre, you let out a few short notes that empower your allies and deafen your enemies. Every ally in a 20 foot burst gains 1 Mark. Every enemy in the area must make a Fortitude Save 10+your ranks in Knowledge Nature or be deafened for 1 minute.

Spirit’s Strike
Soothing Assault (Strike)
Action: Standard
Range: Melee
Target: 1 Creature within reach
Prerequisite: 3 Soothing Assault Manouvers
You strike your enemy while also helping nearby allies in need.
As a part of this manoeuvre, you attack one enemy within reach. This attack deals normal melee damage +6d6 extra damage. In addition, you grant allies within 30 feet of you or yourself four Marks, divided over the targets as you see fit.

United Surge
Soothing Assault (Boost)
Action: Swift
Range: 30 ft.
Target: Every ally in 30 ft.
You grant your allies a surge of quickness, giving them speed.
As a part of this manoeuvre, every ally within 30 ft with 1 or more Marks is affected. Each ally affected gains a 10 ft. movement speed bonus per Mark (Max +30 ft.) and do not provoke attack of opportunities with movement for 3 rounds. In addition, all allies gain 10% concealment + 10% per Mark consumed. After this boost is used, all Marks on the targets are removed.

Level 8

Nature’s Revenge
Soothing Assault (Boost)
Action: Swift
Range: Melee
Target: 1 Ally or yourself with at least one Mark
Prerequisite: 3 Soothing Assault manoeuvres
By triggering your Marks, you give your ally’s next attack a huge boost in effectiveness.
As a swift action, you can trigger the Marks on an ally within 30 feet. The next attack that ally makes has its damage increased proportional to the amount of stacks triggered:

Your connection with your allies allows you the protect your allies without concentrating on it.
When in this stance, each ally within 50 ft. including yourself gains a Mark at the beginning of your turn automatically.

Level 9

Paragons of Nature
Soothing Assault (Boost)
Action: Full Round
Range: 30 ft.
Target: Every ally in 30 ft.
By consuming every Mark upon your allies, you give them total immunity for just a moment.
As a part of this manoeuvre, every ally within 30 ft with 3 Marks is affected, maximum of 3 allies can be affected. Each ally affected becomes immune to all damage and negative effects until the start of your next turn. You are also granted this effect, even if you do not have 3 Marks, but all Marks you possess are still consumed.

If anyone has any ideas for the ?????? spots in the manouver list, I would be happy to incorperate some ideas from the playground.
