Tempo is my attempt to make a modern tabletop that uses cards instead of dice. It is currently a work in progress, but here are my goals so far:

* Use the unique features of cards, not just using them as a fancy d13-1
* Make characters that grow and change during gameplay
* Encourage characters to take risks and make a good story
* Not confuse everyone with ridiculous amounts of rules and things to remember

The document is only 14 pages, single column, plenty of whitespace. This includes the table of contents and the page explaining design choices.

I would really appreciate feedback, criticism and possibly a reality check on the core system I have so far. What do you like/dislike/want to see going forward?
