ACOLYTE OF THE BLOOD (SHADOWCASTER ARCHETYPE) (WiP)
In the wake of Siashton's investigation, the Elemental Plane of Blood was opened to the world. Some have come to delve into this plane, studying the mysteries and reaping the power of this maddening realm. These individuals, known as acolytes of the blood, wield magics out of sync with more orthodox forms of magic.

This archetype is designed to be able to be applied to the Shadowcaster of the tome of magic, as well as Peacenlove's update to pathfinder, Complete Shadow (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7pX5JzphJ4ya3YxNl91anlmLTQ/edit). While this is comparable with the Mystery-using classes created as part of Realms of Chaos's Descent of Shadows (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?74519-Descent-of-Shadows-Project-Shadow-Returns), it is not designed to that end so results may vary. Entries that have [Pathfinder] next to them apply strictly to this update of the class.

Mysteries of Blood: Where shadowcasters draw from the shadow plane and their mysteries are akin to arcane, acolytes of the blood draw theirs from a very different medium. Mysteries cast by the Acolyte of the Blood are treated as divine in nature rather than arcane. Furthermore, Acolytes of the Blood are dependent upon Wisdom for the purpose of determining the highest level spell they can cast, rather than Intelligence. The shadow descriptor is unknown among the Mysteries of the blood, but all mysteries cast by the acolyte of the blood possess the Evil descriptor. Additionally, all references to shadow (except for actually altering light levels) or the shadow plane are replaced with references to blood and the elemental plane of blood. The area immediately around an acolyte of the blood distorts faintly when they are casting, as opposed to a shadowcaster's shadow making different gestures. This ability alters the shadowcaster's Fundamentals of Shadow and Mysteries.

Bloodied Bulwark [Pathfinder]: You gain 2 hit points or a +2 bonus to Heal and Swim checks for every Metashadow feat you have selected or will select in the future. These bonuses stack and you choose which bonus to gain individually for each feat. Once selected these bonuses cannot change. This ability replaces Shadow over Body.
