Shadow Points: The shadowsmith’s well of power lives only in his shadow points. Shadow points represent his connection to the shadow plane and how well he can draw power from it. He can only spend as many points on any one ability as listed on the shadowsmith’s table “max points spent”. A shadowsmith gains shadowpoints at the rate of 1/level.
The shadowsmith only my allocate his shadow points after he has just rested for 8 hours and has to meditate for 15 minutes. All his abilities last until he decides to relieve them or until he reallocates them, with the exception below.
If a shadowsmith becomes fatigued, he loses ¼th of his shadow points (minimum 1, round down) the points are lost evenly (if possible, if not, evenly as possible) from every ability where shadow points are located. If a shadowsmith becomes exhausted he loses ½ of his shadow points (minimum 1, rounds down) and the points are lost evenly among all his abilities where shadow points are located. If the exhaustion or fatigue is caused by a spell with a temporary duration, the points are regained at the end of the spell duration, if it is though physical of mental exertion, the points may only be regained after he has rested for an uninterrupted 8 hours followed by a 15 minute meditation.

Touch of Shadow: On beginning his shadowsmith career, a shadowsmith may alter the shadows to help him perform certain physical tasks. This ability evenly distributes your weight evenly making you unable to be tracked and granting a bonus on balance, climb, and jump checks equal to your class level for one minute per every two shadowsmith levels. This ability is usable 3 + cha modifier per day.

Shroud of Shadow: A thin layer of shadow surrounds you granting a bonus equal to your class level onto hide, move silently and tumble checks for one minute per two shadowsmith class levels. This ability is useable 3 + cha modifier times per day.

Shadow-craft: beginning at 2nd level, a shadowsmith begins to learn how to shape shadows into functional tools and objects. The shadowsmith may have as many objects crafted equal to ½ his level at one time or twice his class level in weight that the actual item would weigh had it not been crafted with shadow stuff. He may choose to un-craft an object to craft another. All items crafted in this way are made purely of shadow stuff and weight nothing, in turn; they cannot be sundered or disarmed. However, if ever targeted directly by any spell with a [light] descriptor, the shadow-crafted item dissipates for an amount of rounds equal to the spell’s level.

Basic: The shadowsmith may meld shadows to become any simple weapon without any moving parts (i.e. crossbow and sling) or any sort of non-moving adventuring gear. Crafting any basic object requires a standard action, which provokes an attack of opportunity. Any weapon made in this fashion requires a DC 12 weaponsmithing check. Any piece of adventuring gear requires a DC 15 blacksmithing check.

Complex: The shadowsmith is able to meld shadows into any simple weapon with moving parts, any martial or exotic weapon (including those with moving parts)(non-proficient penalties still apply), any piece of adventuring gear with moving parts or any tool or skill kit. Crafting any simple weapon with moving parts, a martial weapon without moving parts or a piece of adventuring gear with moving parts requires a dc 17 blacksmithing check. Crafting a martial weapon with moving parts or a tool of skill kit requires a dc 20 blacksmithing check. Crafting any complex item requires a standard action, which provokes an attack of opportunity.

Enhanced: a shadowsmith gains the ability to lace his shadow-crafted items with magic and make his objects masterwork. Beginning at 6th level, a shadowsmith can apply as much as 1/3 of his class level as an enhancement bonus to his weapon (round down). This enhancement bonus can be used to “buy” special abilities (i.e. flaming, returning, vorpal). He must retain at least +1 onto his weapon to add special abilities. The shadowsmith may enhance as many items as he wants, but may not exceed his maximum amount of “pluses”. Beginning at the 15th level, the shadowsmith may add up to ½ of his class level (round down) to determine how he may Enhance his weapon. Crafting any magically Enhanced weapon requires a weaponsmithing check of either Basic or Complex plus the total enhancement bonus of the weapon. Crafting any masterwork Enhanced weapon requires a Basic or Complex check +5.

Armor or Shields: The shadowsmith finally learns how to craft shadow into refined plates to provide protection. A shadowsmith may now craft any piece of metal light, medium or heavy armor or any metal shields (non-proficiency penalties still apply). Crafting any piece of armor requires a dc 15 + armor bonus armorsmithing check. Crafting an Enhanced item requires a full-round action, which provokes an attack of opportunity.

Special Materials: The shadowsmith learns how to emulate special materials into his shadow creations. Crafting any item with a special material requires whatever the item’s usual check would be +7. Crafting an item with Special Materials requires a full-round action, which provokes an attack of opportunity.

Shadow Striking: From 14th level on, all of the shadowsmith’s weapons are infused with the weapon special ability Shadow striking. This does not count towards the Enhanced shadowsmith ability.

Quickened: after crafting a countless amount of trinkets and weapons, it’s become no more than a chore. Beginning at level 16, all shadow-crafts become quicker to craft. All shadow-crafts are reduced one action step (i.e. full-round to standard, standard to move).

Enhancing Shadows: The shadowsmith learns how to pull strength from the plane of shadow.

Saves: All saves are increased by ½ the amount of shadow points invested (minimum 1, round down, 5 in an exception, round up).

Armor: A deflection bonus equal to the amount of shadow points invested.

Health: The shadowsmith adds to his highest available hp the amount of shadow points invests * the shadowsmith’s class level.

Skills: A shadowsmith gains a bonus to all skills equal to the amount of shadow points invested or one skill gains 2 * the invested shadow points.

Offence: A shadowsmith adds the invested amount shadow points to either damage rolls or attack rolls.

Others:

Fleet of Foot: Bonus to land speed equal to 5 * the amount of invested shadow points.

Shadow Wings: Gain a fly speed equal to 5 * the amount of invested shadow points.

Shadow Fins: Gain a swim speed equal to 5 * the amount of invested shadow points.

Shadow Claws: Gain two claw attacks, each claw dealing 1d4. Increase the damage dice by each shadow point invested. The claws are treated as magical for overcoming damage reduction.

Emulate Class Abilities: The shadowsmith firmly believes everything is somehow directly related to darkness: shadow. The shadowsmith learns how to simulate other classes abilities. The shadowsmith, upon using this ability chooses one class, then one ability of that class (under “special” or spellcasting). Depending on how many shadow points invested in this ability determines what level you are considered while using this ability. Example: a tenth level shadowsmith chooses to emulate a rogue’s sneak attack and he invests 3 shadow points into it, he is treated as a third level rogue and may use sneak attack until he rests for 8 hours and meditates to reallocate his points. For spellcasting, the shadowsmith may only choose one level of spells to use, not all. If he were to emulate a 3rd level wizard, he could only chose level 0, 1st, or 2nd spells, not all of them. Bonus spells and save dc’s are determined by the shadowsmith’s charisma modifier.

Improved Emulate Class Abilities: The shadowsmith’s level for emulating class abilities is 2 * the invested shadowpoints.

Widen Shroud: A shadowsmith may share his Touch of Shadow and Shroud of Shadow with his allies within a 30-foot radius. Using this ability costs 2 uses of the ability used.

Inner Shadow: A shadowsmith has become so familiar with his shadow creations; he now gains a +1 morale bonus when using any shadow-crafted item. I.E. if a shadowsmith made a shortsword, he would gain a +1 morale bonus to hit. If he made a crowbar, he would add a +1 morale bonus to his strength check to open whatever he was opening.

Silent Shadows: Any armor or shield made by the shadowsmith is unnervingly silent and flexible. Armor check penalties are decreased by 2 and max dexterity bonuses are increased by one for any armor the shadowsmith makes via shadow-craft.

Improved Silent Shadows: Armor check penalties are decreased by 3 and max dexterity bonuses are increased by 2 for any armor the shadowsmith makes via shadow-craft.

Perfected Silent Shadows: All armors and shields crafted via shadow-craft by the shadowsmith are enhanced with the Silent Moves special ability and the Shadow special ability. These enhancements do not count towards the Enhanced total enhancements.
