About time I gave a shot at home brewing. This is mostly a variation of Assassin.

Deep in the heart of the Rockie Mountains lays a group of Ninja that time seemed to forget.

...or repressed the memory of, either or.

These are the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Ninja. Much more than the synthesis of mere Mountie and Ninja they become something far more.

Class Features
All of the following are Class Features of the Ninja prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency
RCMP Ninja gain no additional armor proficiency. RCMP Ninja are proficient with all simple weapons, saps, short swords, long swords, short bows, long bows, rapiers, kama, nunchaku, and sai. If they exist, they are proficient with pistols and rifles.

[b]Spells
RCMP Ninja cast spells as an Assassin.

Poison Use
Poison is arbitrarily bad in the world of D&D. Therefore RCMP Ninja may not use it. They may be Ninja, but they have to obey the same questionable rules as everyone else. Yes this contradicts the fact they also have sneak attack and assassin spells. No it's not supposed to make sense.

The RCMP Ninjas Mount
Treat as a Paladin's mount, and a characters RCMP Ninja levels stack with their Paladin levels for most purposes save for the following:
-an RCMP Ninja may not have a special mount.
-it's a light warhorse (RCMP Ninja rely on speed)
-it does not have to be summoned, as it is not a celestial being
-the RCMP Ninja's mount is however a magical animal. It's smart!
-it learns hide in plain sight at the same time as the RCMP Ninja
-if an RCMP Ninja's mount dies, it must file a request for a new mount. However it takes a year and a day for the paper work to be gotten around to due to bureaucracy. If parliament has chosen to combat bureaucracy it instead takes two years and oddly enough only 1 hour.

(also, do animals normally have hide and move silently as class abilities? It would probably need them)

Sneak Attack
You've seen it before a million times. You don't need to see it again.

dodge, uncanny dodge
level 2 and 5. See above.

Hide in Plain Sight (Su)

At 8th level, an RCMP Ninja can use the Hide skill even while being observed. As long as he is within 10 feet of some sort of shadow, a RCMP Ninja can hide himself from view in the open without having anything to actually hide behind. He cannot, however, hide in his own shadow.

Polite Request (Ex)
At 10th level, the RCMP Ninja is a master and learns the most frightening power of all. Legends are written about the RCMP Ninja's ability to make polite requests from people, and they cannot help but comply. Treat as if a suggestion, however it is not actually a spell so much as being polite. The will save has a -10. The request can only be very reasonable things, such as helping the RCMP Ninja move, or to help pay for coffee. The RCMP Ninja would never dare use it for something sinister like large discounts, and it is completely unthinkable to ask someone to kill themselves. No really, they wouldn't think about using it that way.

Sanity Damage
RCMP Ninja deal 0/1d2 sanity damage upon sight. They're pretty strange, but they're not that horrible. At least not unless the Stephen Harper government passes that bill to increase them to 0/1d6.

EX RCMP Ninja
If an RCMP Ninja ever loses his Canadian citizenship, is fired, or cut back he may no longer request a new mount. He retains all other special abilities. If an RCMP Ninja ever changes alignment he will be firmly talked to and persuaded back to becoming lawful good, as if under the affects of polite request.

Thoughts?
