I've heard a lot of people talking down about healing in combat which to a point I can kind of understand so here's a mild thing I think could make it easier and more flexible.

Cure spells can be cast as a swift action at a range of touch. Can still be cast as a standard action but with a range of Close.

Meta-magic feats applied to Cure spells do not increase their casting times and have the effective level that they are treated as being one less than they would otherwise be treated.

Therefore a Cleric could cast Cure light wounds that was enlarged as a medium ranged spell as a standard action without adjusting the spell level and even they were spontaneously losing another spell to do such it wouldn't increase the casting time.
