[Constant Metamagic] [PEACH]
Constant metamagic is an alternative use of the metamagic system. It allows all spellcasters to alter their spells in the same fashion under the same limitation.

Instead of increasing the spell slot used, constant metamagic can be freely applied to spells and instead limited mainly by your caster level.

For spellcasters who prepare their spells at the beginning of the day, they need not prepare constant metamagic with their spells, instead they can apply it upon casting.

For spontaneous spellcasters, constant metamagic does not increase the casting time of spells like normal metamagic feats.

A caster can only apply a single constant metamagic to a spell upon casting. Constant metamagic is relient on caster level for which spell level it can be applied to, and requires the total spell level. Each caster level fraction is rounded down. For example, constant still can be applied to any spell of a spell level 1/3rd the spellcaster's total caster level. If the caster was of 14th level, they may apply the effects of constant still to spells of up to 4th level. Each constant metamagic feat also has a maximum spell level of which it can be applied to, such as constant still's 6th level maximum. Effects that permanently increase caster level for the benefit of spells' duration, spells' number of targets, and similar also increases the effective caster level required for constant metamagic.

Some constant metamagic feats are also limited to a school chosen on the time of gaining the feat. These feats are labeled with the (School) feat subtype and may be obtained multiple times. Each time these constant metamagic feats are obtained, you may choose two additional schools for which to apply the feat to up to the maximum of 8 different schools of magic.

Finally, constant metamagic may replace normal metamagic feats in nearly all ways. Prerequisites of metamagic feats or even specific metamagic feats may be replaced by the constant metamagic equivalent. Also, class features that offer a metamagic feat may be replaced with a constant metamagic feat instead. Even specific metamagic feats, such as the beguiler offering still spell may be replaced with the equivalent constant metamagic feat (constant still).

Constant Enlarge [Constant Metamagic]
Equivalent: Enlarge Spell
Benefit: Constant enlarge applies the effects of enlarge spell to any spell of your choice of 1/3rd of your caster level or less upon casting. Constant enlarge cannot be applied to a spell of greater than 6th level.

Constant Silent [Constant Metamagic]
Equivalent: Silent Spell
Benefit: Constant silent applies the effects of silent spell to any spell of your choice of 1/3rd of your caster level or less upon casting. Constant silent cannot be applied to a spell of greater than 6th level.

Constant Still [Constant Metamagic]
Equivalent: Still Spell
Benefit: Constant still applies the effects of still spell to any spell of your choice of 1/3rd of your caster level or less upon casting. Constant still cannot be applied to a spell of greater than 6th level.

Constant Transdimensional [Constant Metamagic]
Equivalent: Transdimensional Spell (Complete Arcane or Complete Divine)
Benefit: Constant transdimensional applies the effects of transdimensional spell to any spell of your choice of 1/3rd of your caster level or less upon casting. Constant transdimensional cannot be applied to a spell of greater than 6th level.

Constant Extend [Constant Metamagic]
Equivalent: Extend Spell
Benefit: Constant extend applies the effects of extend spell to any spell of your choice of 1/4th of your caster level or less upon casting. Constant extend cannot be applied to a spell of greater than 4th level.
(This uses up a 1/4th section due to it's super effectiveness as an out-of-combat utility and setup option)

Constant Empower [Constant Metamagic]
Equivalent: Empower Spell
Benefit: Constant empower applies the effects of empower spell to any spell of your choice of 1/4th of your caster level or less upon casting. Constant empower cannot be applied to a spell of greater than 5th level.

Constant Maximize [Constant Metamagic]
Equivalent: Maximize Spell
Benefit: Constant maximize applies the effects of maximize spell to any spell of your choice of 1/5th of your caster level or less upon casting. Constant maximize cannot be applied to a spell of greater than 3rd level.

Constant Widen [Constant Metamagic]
Equivalent: Widen Spell
Benefit: Constant widen applies the effects of widen spell to any spell of your choice of 1/5th of your caster level or less upon casting. Constant widen cannot be applied to a spell of greater than 4th level.

Constant Quicken [Constant Metamagic] (School)
Equivalent: Quicken Spell
Benefit: Constant quicken applies the effects of quicken spell to any spell from the school chosen upon obtaining constant quicken. This spell must be of 1/5th of your caster level or less upon casting. Constant quicken cannot be applied to a spell of greater than 3rd level.

Enhance Constant [Half-feat]
Benefit: Your caster level is considered one higher for the purposes of determining applicable spell levels for constant metamagic.
(Half-feats described here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46941))

Notes on setting up more constant metamagic
Each constant metamagic here is a simple reapplication of the spell level adjustment of the normal metamagic feats.
I use this basis:
1/3rd Caster level = +1 Level metamagic feats
1/3rd Caster level + (School) = +1 / +2 Level metamagic feats (stronger +1s and weak +2s)
1/4th Caster level = +1 / +2 Level metamagic feats (For +1s that don't work too well under 1/3rd)
1/4th Caster level + (School) = +2 Level metamagic feats (higher powered ones)
1/5th Caster level = +3 Level metamagic feats
1/5th Caster level + (School) = +3 / +4 Level metamagic feats (capped level at 3)
1/7th Caster level = +5 Level metamagic feats
1/9th Caster level = +6 Level metamagic feats (I recommend against persistent spell as a constant)

lets see 15th level human sorcerer 7 feats

constant quicken
constant maximize
dual constant casting
spell focus (evocation)
spell penetration
greater spell penetration
energy substitution (acid)

they would only need one spell to end almost any encounter. Fireball. 120 damage per turn, choice of being fire or acid, harder dc and beats SR easily

Um... 120 damage doesn't kill everything in one turn if you're up against a CR 15. Also, a 15th level sorcerer has access to 7th level spells already, and direct damage such as fireball isn't as good as save-or-die spells. I don't love this variant or anything, but I'm not willing to accept your argument against it.

Also, if you want to overcome spell resistance, you should be taking Arcane Mastery from CArc, lets you Take 10 on caster level checks.

Similar tactics can be used with better options, however, and it does show I need to remove the dual constant feat.

Possibly raise +4 levels to 1/6th progression (able to quicken 3rd at 18th level)
