View Full Version : Blackout Raider Surplus Supplies

blackout
2007-07-28, 06:18 PM
Seven large pods land in the streets, and open up to reveal various racks of guns, ammunition, grenades, smaller ships like fighters and bombers, vehicles, and attack walkers, and a large sign pops up out in front which says 'Blackout Raider Surplus Supplies - EVERYTHING MUST GO!!!!'

Metis
2007-07-28, 06:22 PM
Mortessa comes up to the shop and swiftly looks for the hoverbikes.

blackout
2007-07-28, 06:27 PM
Guards are also all over the area, making sure no one steals anything, and to keep the gear safe from certain weather effects, like rain. A few guards point out the hoverbikes to Mortessa if she asks.

Metis
2007-07-28, 06:29 PM
Mortessa finds the hoverbike, and then attempts to see where someone she can buy it from is.

blackout
2007-07-28, 06:31 PM
An annoying salesman comes over and talks really fast. "HELLO,WelcometotheBRsurplusale, howcanIhelpyou? "

Metis
2007-07-28, 06:32 PM
Mortessa briefly wonders just how he'd scream with a knife cutting slowly towards his heart.
I'd like to buy this.
She pats the hoverbike.

blackout
2007-07-28, 06:33 PM
"Ah,wonderfuldecisionmiss,Reaperarmedhoverbike, excellentpurchase, that'llbe50GPs. "

LordVader
2007-07-28, 06:34 PM
((Blackout, aren't you glad I suggested this?))
An Arbites patrol arrives. The leading officer says to the person in charge,
"You're allowed to sell this stuff, but watch who you sell it to. We don't want any of this in the wrong hands. We'll be monitoring the sales."

Metis
2007-07-28, 06:34 PM
Mortessa rolls her eyes at him and pulls out five platinum.

blackout
2007-07-28, 06:36 PM
((Dude, if I had my way, this would be a bad dream. :smallannoyed: ))

"Noyawon't, everythingmustgo, sobuysomethingorscram. :smallmad: " He takes the money and hands over the hoverbike.

LordVader
2007-07-28, 06:37 PM
"We are representatives of the police, and as such, we will be watching this to make sure you don't sell it to any criminals."
((Seriously, why'd you let Draken push you around?:smalltongue:))

Metis
2007-07-28, 06:37 PM
Mortessa nods, and smirks at the thought of herself using one.
Ah well. It certainly would have its perks.
She zooms off on it.

blackout

"Everything can go. Just to the right people. And who said you'd get arrested?"

((Then, to the Demi-Plane of Battle!))
"We reserve the right to seize any sales that we believe to be to criminals."

"Negatory, pal. SorrybutIcan'tallowyoutointerferewithanysales. :smallannoyed: I'mafraidyou'llhavetoleave. "

((Well, I like to have my characters fight for a reason, not just for the hell of it. Oh well. :smallannoyed: ))

LordVader
2007-07-28, 06:48 PM
"I don't think you understand. We're the police. We are going to observe these sales. This stuff is too dangerous to give to criminals."

blackout
2007-07-28, 06:49 PM
The salesman stops talking fast. ":smallannoyed: No, YOU don't understand, it doesn't matter anyways. People can just come back to life, and this stuff has to go. "

LordVader
2007-07-28, 06:51 PM
"Sir, if you persist in this, it'll be deemed obstruction of justice. The police will be buying things as well. We just need to prevent any powerful weapons from getting to criminals."
"For starters, we'd like ten hoverbikes, preferably with weapon systems attached."

Emperor Ing
2007-07-28, 06:51 PM
The cloaked man walks in, or at; whatever. -_-

blackout
2007-07-28, 06:52 PM
"Fine. 500 GPs, now get outta here. :smallannoyed: I don't care anyways. Once this is over, I'm as good as fired. "

LordVader
2007-07-28, 06:53 PM
"I've told you, we're not leaving. Could you please attach lasers that can be set to stun or kill on the bikes? Two on each."
((Think Marine bikes.))

blackout
2007-07-28, 06:54 PM
":smallconfused: Uh, sorry, they come standard with gatling guns. Can't do that. We don't have the proper facilities to refit them."

LordVader
2007-07-28, 06:59 PM
"All right. Also, we'll take three Phantom transports, please."

blackout
2007-07-28, 07:01 PM
"Wait, what do you need Phantoms for? The bikes I understand, but why Phantoms? :smallconfused: "

LordVader
2007-07-28, 07:04 PM
"Phantoms are transports, correct? We need to be able to get places fast. If Phantoms aren't the transports, we need three flying troop carriers. Preferably VTOL ones."

blackout
2007-07-28, 07:05 PM
"Ah. I just figured with APCs, you guys could handle getting places quickly. The Phantoms are over there. " He points in the direction of the Phantoms.

LordVader
2007-07-28, 07:07 PM
"Only problem is, you ain't gonna see a flying APC anytime soon."
An Arbites goes over to inspect the Phantom. Five more Arbites arrive. Each mounts a hoverbike, and tows another one.

Emperor Ing
2007-07-28, 07:09 PM
Pik wanders in, to check out what they got here, and turns to the cloaked man
I'd heard about em, but I'd never think id see one for myself! Wow.
resumes seeing what they got

blackout
2007-07-28, 07:10 PM
":smallannoyed: Jerks."

The Phantoms appear to be in prime condition, with no bombs jammed into the engines or anything.

Emperor Ing
2007-07-28, 07:20 PM
((you got another customer.))

blackout
2007-07-28, 07:22 PM
((So I do. :smallannoyed: Joy.))

The salesman spots Pik and the guy in the cloak, and walks over. He seems more irritated than before. "This is not a library, sirs, are you looking for something? :smallconfused: "

Emperor Ing
2007-07-28, 07:25 PM
Yes, ah, what kind of gatling guns you got available for personal useage?

blackout
2007-07-28, 07:26 PM
"Oh, sorry, the only gatling guns we have are mounted onto our vehicles. :smallannoyed: We have rifles, though."

Emperor Ing
2007-07-28, 07:28 PM
Okay, whats the fastest firing repeater you got then?

blackout
2007-07-28, 07:29 PM
"That would be the BR-35 Laser Rifle. "

Emperor Ing
2007-07-28, 07:32 PM
Interesting, let me have a look at it.

blackout
2007-07-28, 07:38 PM
The salesman does so, handing a rifle(unloaded of course) to Pik.

Emperor Ing
2007-07-29, 04:44 AM
pik examines it, and is muttering something too quietly for you to hear, but it also seems to be in another language.
Very nice! What's the RPM?

PirateMonk
2007-07-29, 08:43 AM
A large crowd of NPCs arrive and separate, looking at different sections. More come and go occasionally. The seem to be trying to buy large quantities, but have the money for it, despite not seeming to be particularly rich.

LordVader
2007-07-29, 09:06 AM
The Arbites will ask several of them for their profession.

PirateMonk
2007-07-29, 09:18 AM
They don't have professions, as they are faceless NPCs.

LordVader
2007-07-29, 09:20 AM
((If they're faceless NPCs, then they can't be buying this stuff for someone else.))
The Arbites will monitor all purchases. Any purchases of attack vehicles will prompt the Arbites to ask the NPC what they need it for.

PirateMonk
2007-07-29, 09:25 AM
((Not even other faceless NPCs?))

LordVader
2007-07-29, 09:30 AM
The fact that they arrived as a group worries the Arbites somewhat. They won't allow the BR to sell them any heavy combat vehicles, as they have reason to believe they may be taken to some organization that will use them to kill Townspeople.

blackout
2007-07-29, 10:21 AM
The salesmen really don't care one way or another, and actually begin to ignore the faceless NPCs in favor of PC customers.

The salesman stares at Pik dumbfounded.

PirateMonk
2007-07-29, 10:38 AM
The NPCs eventually leave and stop coming back, having bought a total of dozens of thousands of grenades and guns, as well as a massive amount of ammo. No vehicles though.

blackout
2007-07-29, 10:45 AM
((:smallconfused: Why the sudden military build-up?))

PirateMonk
2007-07-29, 11:11 AM
((You'll see. :smallamused: ))

blackout
2007-07-29, 11:13 AM
((:smallannoyed: If it's the Brotherhood of Nod, they'll just get steamrolled by the Scrin.))

LordVader
2007-07-29, 01:53 PM
The Arbites note the massive purchases, and radio back a report on it. A contigency plan begins to be created to deal with a massive uprising of people equipped with these weapons.

Emperor Ing
2007-07-29, 07:51 PM
the cloaked man notices the battlefield, the scrin patrols, and the line of IG/GE. He runs without saying a word to trogs for some reason, piks still deadtimed

blackout
2007-07-29, 07:57 PM
((He'll have to pass through the warzone. ))

Emperor Ing
2007-07-29, 08:00 PM

Pandaren

Blue runs up,
"I'll take a hoverbike and as much guns and ammo as i can load on it quickly!!!!!NOWWW!!!!!!1111"

blackout
2007-07-29, 09:30 PM
":smallannoyed: Fine. 50 GPs. "

Pandaren
2007-07-29, 09:34 PM
If you meant Blue, he throws 20 plat at you loads teh guns on and drives offf quickly as possible!!

Emperor Ing
2007-07-30, 05:44 AM
Pik undeadtimes and notices that he is literally in the center of a warzone
By the force...ill be back later. Time for some fun!
Pik draws out his lightsabers, and runs in

PirateMonk
2007-07-31, 01:20 PM
Another large crowd of NPCs arrive and start buying things. These people seem to be poorer than the last one, but try to buy vehicles of all sorts.

blackout
2007-07-31, 01:22 PM
To avoid trouble with the law, the salesmen prevent them from touching the vehicles. Partially because they look like they can't pay for them, partially because the Arbites would get medieval on their asses if they didn't.

PirateMonk
2007-07-31, 01:23 PM
The NPCs ask why these things are here if they aren't for sale.

blackout
2007-07-31, 01:24 PM
The salesmen respond that they don't have a good reason, and that the Arbites are being jackasses about it.

PirateMonk
2007-07-31, 01:29 PM
A well dressed and stern-looking gentleman walks over to the Arbites and waits for them to respond.

Pandaren
2007-08-03, 08:24 PM
Pandaren shows up and walks to teh nearest salesmen.

blackout
2007-08-03, 08:25 PM
"How may I help you, sir? :smallconfused: "

Pandaren
2007-08-03, 08:30 PM
"Is there anything here that could help with tracking of a person, and would you describe some of the better vehicles functions"

((Better as in more expensive))

blackout
2007-08-03, 08:33 PM
":smallannoyed: No, no trackers, sorry. And the better vehicles' functions? Tanks equal bigger guns, heavier armor, more punishment. APCs equal swift movement of you and up to eighteen buddies on a battlefield. Hoverbikes equal good for running people down, and shooting them. Basically, just read their tags. :smallannoyed: "

Pandaren
2007-08-03, 08:36 PM
"Okay, and explosives??"

Admiral_Kelly
2007-08-03, 08:37 PM
An ulitharid (mindflayer with six tentacles) enters the shop. "I am in need of hand-held weapons. What dose your store sell?

blackout
2007-08-03, 08:37 PM
":smallannoyed: This isn't for an illegal operation, is it?"

Pandaren
2007-08-03, 08:39 PM
((Who???Me???))

"Of course not, you must be mistaking me for my brother"

blackout
2007-08-03, 08:40 PM
":smallannoyed: .....Get outta here."

Admiral_Kelly
2007-08-03, 08:43 PM
"No. Me and some of my friends need weapons in case the Scrin invasion gets worse. They sent me out because I am obviously the best at getting though the warzone."

Pandaren
2007-08-03, 08:44 PM
"No seriously, Blue is my brother, I own a ----ing temple okay. he's the screwup."

blackout
2007-08-03, 08:46 PM
"One, the Scrin invasion is UNDER CONTROL, people. Second, the shop's gonna close soon, anyways. The army needs some of this gear up at the line, soon. "

Pandaren
2007-08-03, 08:49 PM
"I just need some explosives, not even strong ones, just big flashy ones, and maybe a few grenades. Okay, can you handle that."

Admiral_Kelly
2007-08-03, 08:50 PM
"Still, isn't it your job to get these weapons sold? I'll make it worth your while."

He takes from a bag of holdings ten platinums and puts them on the table.

blackout
2007-08-03, 08:54 PM
"....Fine. :smallannoyed: Take what ya want, and I'll take your money. The shop closes in FIVE MINUTES. "

Admiral_Kelly
2007-08-03, 09:00 PM
The ulitharid attempts to scan the clerk's mind for where the best weapons are kept.

blackout
2007-08-03, 09:01 PM
Sadly, there are no best weapons, each weapon has it's own specialties. He knows where they all are.

Pandaren
2007-08-03, 09:01 PM
Pandaren grabs several pounds of eplosives and walks over to one of the hoverbikes.
"How much for these and a bike??"

Admiral_Kelly
2007-08-03, 09:05 PM
He scans his mind for a list of all hand-held weapons and where they are in the store.

blackout
2007-08-03, 09:08 PM
"500 GP, now take it, and get out. :smallannoyed: "

Rifles and rocket launchers in aisle 3, pistols in aisle 4.

Pandaren
2007-08-03, 09:09 PM
he tosses a huge sack of copper pieces straight at him and packs the explosives on the bike.
"Gimme the keys"

blackout
2007-08-03, 09:10 PM
The shopkeeper tosses the keys to him.

"OK, PEOPLE, PACK IT UP! MOVE THIS GEAR UP TO THE LINE! LET'S GO, LET'S GO!"

Admiral_Kelly
2007-08-03, 09:11 PM
He further scans his mind checking for the specifics of these weapons.

Pandaren
2007-08-03, 09:11 PM
Vroom Vroom(Or whatever sound it makes)

Pandaren drives away down the street, people jumping out of the way run and scream.

blackout
2007-08-03, 09:15 PM
Pistols are handguns, very powerful compared to other handguns. 12 rounds in each clip.

Rifles have plasma, and assault settings. 60 rounds per clip either way.

Rockets, blahblah, one shot, then reload.

((:smallannoyed: ))

Admiral_Kelly
2007-08-03, 09:20 PM
(( Need to clarify on things like this. ))

The ulitharid goes down aisle 3 and picks up six rifles and brings them to the desk. He goes back for and takes a rocket launcher and two casefulls of rockets. He again goes back and takes another two rocket launchers. He goes down aisle 4 and grabs a dozen handguns and a boxfull of clips.

"How much for all of this?"

blackout
2007-08-03, 09:25 PM
"That'll be 700 GPs. :smallannoyed: "

Admiral_Kelly
2007-08-03, 09:37 PM
From a bag of holdings, he takes out seventy platinums. He starts putting his newly bought cache of weapons into the bag. As he dose this, he starts up a conversation. "You seem pretty upset even after I gave you a 100 gp tip. Why?"

blackout
2007-08-03, 09:40 PM
" :smallannoyed: Simple, some people don't get the hint. After all this, we're probably gonna end up being forgotten, even though we're giving our lives to save your asses. All we want is to fight and die in the defense of the town, but people are probably gonna come back and hate us for being soldiers, when WE are the ones out there, on the line, every day, fighting for YOU and your neighbors."

Admiral_Kelly
2007-08-03, 09:47 PM
"You guys have my thanks. If the Scrin invasion lasts any longer it will be a huge dent in our plans." he continues putting weapons into the bag of holdings.

blackout
2007-08-03, 09:49 PM
" :smallconfused: Plans? What plans?"

Admiral_Kelly
2007-08-03, 09:54 PM
He pauses before speaking "You know, parties, hunting trips, days at the beach, stuff like that." he continues putting the weapons in the bag of holdings.

blackout
2007-08-03, 10:02 PM
":smallconfused: .....'Kay. "

Admiral_Kelly
2007-08-03, 10:13 PM
The ulitharid is almost done putting weapons away. "I'm hungry. Want to stop by the Fisherman's Cove after this? I hear they sell soups there."

"Brother, are we ready to go?" A feminine voice speaks. It comes from another mindflayer.

blackout
2007-08-03, 10:16 PM
"Thanks but no thanks. :smallannoyed: I gotta go up to the line. "

Admiral_Kelly
2007-08-03, 10:32 PM
"Can we make him come along? He looks cute."

"No, sister, learn to control your impulses." the ulitharid puts the last item into the bag of holdings and puts it under his robes. "Thank you sir. We must be going now."

The two mindflayers leave.
