Chaos ensues as pies are thrown around the banquetting hall with varying degrees of accuracy. A few of you decide to try and escape the fire, and some dodge underneath the table to eat their pies in relative peace. Those of yopu that do soon regret it. The Super Citrus Lemon Pie is possibly the sourest thing you've ever tasted! You cry out in pain as your lower jaw attempts to fold into your upper one in defence against the extreme taste, but the damage is done. Those that have pies thrown at them escape the worst of the taste, but it does sting your eyes quite a bit! The Baron's walls are caked in pie from a few devious competitors, leaving them very happy with their achievements!

Results

The more timid of you are just recovering yourselves from underneath the table when the Baron walks in, stomach still balanced on metal wheels. He surveys the assorted competitors covered in pie, and notes their red-rimmed sore eyes. His eyes widen as he takes in the pie splashed across the tapestries and hangings on his walls. For a second a look of anger passes across his face, but it is quickly replaced by a smile.

“Ahh I see my walls didn’t survive unscathed, I’m looking at you Smellie Hippie,, oh well, a bit of spirit never did any harm to a dish!”

The Baron winks at Salmon and Artemis as the next dish is bought in by his strange tribe of bow-legged servants. It appears to be the world’s largest meatloaf, the heat rising from it in palpable waves. Ezlo’s eyes widen as he sees the dish and the Baron smiles again.

“Behold my amazing Monster Meatloaf, made from the creature I slew on my last hunt, the legendary Tarrasque! Thus explaining the size of it! I’ve already had some, and I can say it tastes delicious!”

You are not completely placated by the Baron’s words, the smell coming off the meatloaf isn’t too savoury, but it does look very tasty. The Baron and his servants stagger out, leaving you with the biggest meatloaf in history, do you take a slice, eat as much as you can, or avoid it?

Most of you tuck into the huge meatloaf in front of you, though some of you decide that the meat-loaf loving Ezlo is more deserving of your portion, which he stuffs down his throat with gusto! The meatloaf has a very strong tangy taste, nearly enough to knock you off your feet at first. But boy does it taste good! If that was the last Tarrasque then this is genuinely a food fit for the gods! Those of you that try and eat as much as possible find that it really is difficult to eat mush past one slice, it's just too filling!

Ezlo’s stomach rumbles, it looks just about ready to explode from the pressure from all that meatloaf. The Baron licks his lips as he enters the hall, eyeing up all the fattened up competitors.

“I take it my Tarrasque Meatloaf was to your satisfaction? Good…happiness is conducive to tasty meal I say! Let’s see if you like this dish as much!”

The Baron claps his pudgy hands, and his tribe of strange servants arrive again. They are arrayed around a huge cauldron, which they are carrying slowly to the table. They dump it in the centre of the banqueting table, and the smell of tough leather and cheesy feet immediately assails your nostrils! A few of you take a cautious look inside, and you see a heaving brown broth, containing tough looking brown and black strips, and what looks for all the world like someone’s laundry!”

“Yes, after all the expensive cuisine I’ve put out for you, I decided to go down a different track this round. Yes you guessed it, taken from my wardrobe; it’s my amazing Old Boot & Sock Soup!”

The Baron laughs at your looks of displeasure, then leaves the hall, leaving you with the bubbling mess. It has to be said, this is the least appetising dish you’ve seen so far. Is it worth taking a taste?

Extended Time Over!

As the rounds go on, more and more competitors start to go off their food, struggling to keep up with the pace. This doen't help Ezlo, as several competitors throw there portions of socks and boots to the meatloaf loving guy. Those of you that eat it find that, despite it looking awful and smelling worse, the taste of the boots and socks is actually good, kind of like roasted mutton and spongy vegetables. The liquid however, is absolutely foul, and you spit it out before you throw up!

After all the boots Ezlo's breath stinks, but his belly is full, and he looks a likely winner. Andre also looks full, but still eyes up Ezlo jelously. The Baron walks in again, almost round by now, a servant at each side holding up his flabby torso, apparently the stabilisers couldn't take it!

“Ah it is so good to see such a lot of happy full people! Time for a celebration!”

The Baron claps his pudgy hands, and a single servant brings in a single platter and places it in the middle of the table. He reveals a pile of Fairy cakes, laden with thick pink icing. On top of each is a little rice paper circle, each with a picture of one of the competitors. They smell sweet and look delicious.

“Everyone loves fairy cakes, but how about eating one with your own face looking back at you! Eat them or leave them, I'm sure I can give those chubby faces a good home!”

You look mistrustfully at the Baron as he leaves. The Fairy Cakes look nice, but is it just another of the Baron's tricks?

I predict this is a voodoo style thing. Eat the cake is fine, but eating the cake plus the rice-paper with your face on it will hurt you as if you had swallowed a voodoo doll of yourself.

Ezlo thinks about the voodoo idea. He takes the rice paper bit off and places it in his wallet just in case. He doesn't want anyone to eat it by accident. Or on purpose. Plus it'll look good on his living room wall right next to the model of his decapitated head from the play he was in last summer..

((Then again it could be like eating yourself and you double the amount of munchies you have. I doubt that one though.

Extended Time Over!

A lot of you decide to tuck into your Fairy cakes, and savour the icing, which tastes faintly of strawberries, and is delicious! It turns out the faces really were just rice paper...but the cake underneath the icing is a little more suspicious. It has a faintly green tinge that was hidden by the icing, and makes you feel more than a little nauseous.

The fairy cake debacle over, you sit back at the table, bellies heaving to varying degrees. You really don't think you can take much more, especialy Ezlo, Andre & Stu42, who all look fit to burst!

You hear the sound of squeeky wheels coming towards the door. You initially think it must be the Baron & his stabilisers again, but you realise that he wasn't wearing them last time, and there are no pounding footsteps accompanying the sound. You watch in confusion as 4 servants come in without the Baron, pushing a huge trolley with a massive covered platter on it. The smell is confusing, definitely meat, but of what sort you really can't tell.

One of the mute servants comes forward and hands Artemis a headered letter and motions for her to read it out to the competitors.

I trust my slack-jawed servants will have got this to you in good order! By the time you read this I will be no more. You see, I had been considering what would be the ultimate delicacy for the final round of my eating contest, something that would truly honour all you wonderful people who've joined in. Suddenly it came to me, such a great idea that I immediately decided it should be so! I would have myself cooked for the final dish of my own competition!

So what you see before you is my earthly remains, cooked into meaty joints so tender and tasty that you may well die of delight! Eat well my friends, I have loved every minute of my last contest, and hope you enjoy my final dish!

I'm 6 points ahead of 6th place so if I refuse, I probably won't get overtaken. I'm also happy with my current position because I have the most points out of all the people who hasn't had any food forced on them.

I'm going to think about this for a while. If I don't post before the time limit, assume I refused.

Artemis reads over the letter in her hand again. Could it be true? Had the Baron really cooked himself as the final course in this odd feast? Surely it was a fitting end for the fat noble, but the contest wasn't over, even Ezlo, the fattest of us all, still has room for more. She lifts her eyes from the note as Pwenet pushes his plate in front of her, then whispers. "Either this is another of his jokes, or he's really gone." Artemis folds up the letter and sets it aside, then lifts her glass in a toast, speaking so everyone can hear. "To Baron Fatbelly, who invited us all here and has given us what is certainly the most interesting meal any of us have ever experienced. May he find happiness where ever he is." Taking a sip from her glass, she slowly begins eating the double portion before her, all the while thinking it was some sort of trick, for she had suspected it would be one of them to end up on the menu, not the Baron himself.

((In summary, I Eat the Baron's Final Meal, and Ezlo, I don't mean to call you fat, you simply have the most points.))

Final Round Over!

Moved by the Barons final address, most of you dig into the tender meat with a vengeance, just a few of you deciding that Ezlo or Andre should take the risk instead. As eat a toast is started, and you all chug a flute of champagne in honour of the competitions benefactor. The meat, the vegetables, the bread, all of it tastes delicious! The meat is very succulent, and like nothing you’ve ever tasted before, it could be human, but you have no way to be sure. At the end of the course everyone is satisfyingly full, except for Orzel, who decides he’s gotten a taste for human flesh! He grabs two of the Barons servants and shoves them down his gullet whole, still flailing silently as his digestive juices get to work. Unfortunately for Orzel, it looks as if the Baron didn’t keep them as well fed as the contest competitors, and they are rather stringy!

Results

Eat the Veggies – Tasty but light - +2 Munchies
Eat the Bread – Good bread, but just bread! - +1 Munchies
Orzel got +2 Munchies for eating some servants!

You sit there, your chairs groaning under the weight of your swollen stomachs, waiting for the results to be announced. But wait a minute, the Baron is no more, and his servants are mute, so who’s going to declare who’s won? A frantic discussion breaks out at the table, with Ezlo, Andre and Salmon all claiming to have landed the title, and showing their massive bellies to prove it. There looks to be no way of sorting out the argument, but the room is silenced by the shrill piping of a whistle coming from the banquet hall doors.

In front of you stands a small, horribly thin woman, around the same age as the Baron, wearing a business suit with her greying hair tied viciously back in a tight ponytail. She looks like the school matron, the scary librarian and the horrible teacher all rolled into one, just looking at her makes you sit up straighter in your seats and suck in as much of your bellies as you can.

The woman removes the whistle from between her thin lips and smiles a smile that reminds you of daggers glinting in the shadows of an alleyway.

“So my dolt of a husband finally offed himself for this silly contest did he? Well it looks like it’s up to me to declare the ‘winner’”

She says this last in a condescending manner, scrunching her face up to show her obvious distaste.

“The winner of this years Baron Fatbelly Contest is………

Ezlo!”

The meatloaf loving Ezlo staggers to his flabby feet, taking in the adoration of the other competitors, all the while the woman stands there with a faint unkind smile on her face. When the clapping and cheers die down she speaks again.

“Yes well done for growing so fat you can barely stand up Ezlo. As you might have guessed I am Baroness Fatbelly, and the executor of my husband’s estate now he’s gone. Of course that means I also have control of his Eating Contest, and I plan to keep it alive. But I’m not like the Baron. BEWARE, ALL OF YOU, the next Eating Contest will be very very different…”

The Baroness walks stiffly out of the room, leaving you wondering what the next contest might hold. Ezlo doesn’t care however, he’s busy eating the table!

So yes, Ezlo is the winner of the Baron Fatbelly Eating Contest, with Andre coming in 2nd and Almighty Salmon a respectable 3rd.

I will be doing Iron Avatar style trophies for the top 3 competitors to put in their signatures, I’ll probably post them on here on Monday.

Thanks to everyone who took part for making my first ever structured game run smoothly! I hope you’ll join the Baroness at a future date for the next contest! I don’t know when I will run another, but there will be a very big twist on the current format when I do.
