Wall of fire says that you make a save if you are in the wall when it's cast.
1. What about when you enter it or the side that's hot? Do you just take damage or do you make a save also?

How does sculpt spells play out?

2. Are the chosen creatures just not effected at all, while moving in and out of the wall for the duration?
Also, sculpt doesn't say anything about evocation damage with no save, so the first question will have to be answered in order to proceed with this part I suppose......

If you walk through the wall of fire, or if you end your turn inside the wall or near the burning side, you take damage automatically, with no save.

Sculpt Spells doesn't affect automatic damage, only saving throw damage.

Or, in other words, Wall of Fire has two separate effects:
An initial formation of the wall, which has a save-vs-damage effect that Sculpt Spells works with (as you form the wall, you carefully give a few of your allies enough time to get out of the way).

A stable fire wall, which sets everything on fire if they stay too close to it.
