Basically, how would the various people on this forum take stuff from past editions of D&D and change how it works to better match 5e's power levels and design philosophy? Not just 3.X, but also 2e and 4e mechanics and design standards (like the power structure and class layout of 4e translated into character classes made to function in 5e's very different rules environment). And not just classes/subsystems, either, variant rules are fine too! Like 2e's Duel Classing as a variant of Gestalt permissible in a standard game, altered as needed to make it a fair choice in 5e, or feature replacement based directly on class kits from 2e instead of the fill-in-the-blanks we play with subclasses in 5e.

When I say "change how it works", I'm referring to stuff like having Tome of Battle use Superiority Dice to fuel above-basic damage and other dice-determined effects instead of its current resource management system, to better fit the relatively bound setup 5e has going for it.
