OOC: The sniper plot?

I have a new plot. in this, a sniper appears in various places, seemingly killing people for no reason. Mercenary are hired to kill the new sniper. So, if you want your mercenary character hired, please post that here.

Some police would be nice, just to be realistic, but I want PC police not NPCs.

I suppose Renegade is a merc. However, expect him to work with any non-lawful group. He goes to the highest bidder. And I also hope this isn't going to be a repeat of the last time you did a plot.

He had my expert explorer fall into several death traps that he would have seen coming. And his character sat by and did nothing for more than half of it.

I'm just avoiding it for all of the usual reasons.
You know, like not wanting to participate in a plot that is entitled, 'the Sniper plot'.
And not really agreeing that snipers should even exist in Town.
And not having any characters powerful enough to take on a .5 MOA, heavy assault bolt-action rifle.

Shabal, you can snipe with a bow. Snipers are simply people that focus on killing from a distance and not being caught. Example being Artemis, who could shoot an arrow from roughly a mile away and hit, perhaps not lethally, but with enough accuracy to prevent escape. He got the sniper rifle, yes, and now his aim is far deadlier, yes, but my point still stands.

Or worse, you can Snipe with Disintegrate.

I actually considered placing Amaenon in the plot, get him to stalk the guy, but I am still wondering if I should or not.

Given Nightwing's tendency to create characters armed with powerful handguns, rail guns, machine guns, 'blaster rifles', and lightsabers, I naturally assumed he meant a sniper rifle.

I was refering to your comment about not really agreeing sniper should exist in the Town. You appeared to have a very specific definition of the term "sniper".

Sorry for not clarifying more, but I assumed that he meant a sniper rifle, and didn't bother voicing it. What I should have said was,

Heavy Crossbow + Gnome Crossbow Sight = 1d10 damage plus at 380 feet

He use a sniper rifle and bows and arrow. if its a projectile, he will use it.

Add in an Assassin's death attack ability and a crossbow designed to essentially have a vorpal effect, and you have yourself a sniper. One shot, One kill.

Where do you get those Gnome sights? I'll have to buy Raril one.

Anyways, I believe the player Xerillium had a group of snipers running around town a few weeks ago. Many of us might remember the 'Stillete Guild,' It seemed sort of unfair to the people being sniped...but that's the point of sniping isn't it? Done properly this could be an interesting plot, with the mercenaries working around and against the more lawful characters, but the question is: can you pull it off, Nightwing? I mean no offense by this, but you do have a sort of history in this Town. Give me a little proof and I'll be happy to join, possibly on both sides.

Actually, This was Going to be my proof that I can really pull of a plot. i have had some mishaps in the past, but I want to redeem my self. I am going to make the sniping as least annoying as possibly. not sniping when you are in a plot, not sniping you when you are injured (unless you are on his hit list. i Will try to keep to time from going place to place as realistic as possibly. He wont just "Randomly know were you are at all time"yes, he may fallow you, but he cant fallow two people at once.

The Arms and Equipment Guide. treats the target as if it where 2 range increments closer. It has no effect on targets in the first range increment.

Well, Renegade can use almost any weapon he wants, from a sniper rifle to an IARFECL.

Syn can help, he can make almost any poison in the town.

Oh, and also, expect Renegade to stay true as a merc. As in, change sides the moment he gets a better offer.
